I ordered universal yums as a gift for my significant other. Now it’s something we look forward to monthly. Rating the different foods is so fun and the box comes with educational materials about the country as well. This is something I’d recommend to anyone.

This has been such a fun and great addition to our family nights! Kid friendly and family fun.

Great for teenagers also! I know when many people look at something like this, they immediately think this is for younger families. I have two teenagers (boy/girl) and they both love it. It is a great, short, activity that we all look forward to as a family once a month. After dinner, we sit down and go through each snack. We have fun rating them and just laughing at some of the fun snacks that come from all around the world. Honestly, the best is when we don't like a snack because the kids are hilarious about it.

My kids love when our Yum box arrives. It’s a great family activity to try all the snacks together and learn a bit about the country that’s themed. I highly recommend subscribing!

Our family loves opening this box together we have a lot of fun. My only issue is that we have had this subscription for a while now and it’s all been basically the same all from Europe and very similar snacks.

The boxes are fun! I really wish there was a way to customize it, or even choose between a couple different countries each month like they do your first box. The first few boxes were awesome, the last few have been subpar- we gave away almost all the items. There is no way to avoid flavors/ingredients you do not want or like. A little customization would go a long way!!

We have been getting Universal Yums for about 5 or 6 months, we have been so pleased with this service. It has become a time for family to get together and try new things, we don't travel outside our country often so this has been a wonderful experience for us so far. We have authenticated the snacks with a few of our friends from these countries (Thailand, Germany, Poland) and they have been so excited to share childhood memories as we go through the box together, so having those experiences with at least half of the boxes we have received has been a joy. ( and it also shows me that these items are indeed authentic to that region, even if not in the state our friends lived, they were very familiar with the items, and were impressed by the choices!) I have had to reach out to cusotmer service before and it went very well, they were understanding and very helpful. It was through email and I felt my questions were answered thoroughly and professionally. I highly recommend Universal Yums to anyone on the fence about trying it!

I ordered a 3 month subscription as a gift for someone. They charged me for a fourth month and I emailed and requested it not be sent by the 3rd of the month. It was still sent and I was not refunded. I emailed again, customer service rep NIkka, sent me a link to unsubribe. There was no subscriptions listed in my account. She then responded saying I was enrolled in the "until you canel" subscription. I literally never would have signed up for that. I had to d8spute the charge through my bank after providing evidence the charge was not condoned. This rep was rude and actually gaslit me instead of providing a simple refund. It's a nightmare to work with these people.

The snacks are a very good size and it is very interesting to see what snacks are like from other countries. My family and I love trying all of them.

I bought a subscription as a gift and they did not like their box due to the variety and flavors. I contacted Universal Yums to ask to cancel and they wouldn’t let me. When I went to the website to submit feedback, my ability to submit feedback was disabled.

This would have been so cool… Until I saw the “Israel” box.. It is very disheartening especially with the current killings of Palestinians. I was really excited for this so I dug deeper and that made it even worse. Apparently there is cards included in the box which states the country was formed in 1948.. Which is the year of the Nakba where 700,000 Palestinians were violently displaced and murdered. Same thing happening now in Gaza.. I saw this on Facebook as an ad and was really excited. Not anymore.

My family and I look forward to our box every month. We get the largest box, but what I don’t want, or would like to opt out of, is receiving the games or non-food items, with the exception of the informational booklet.

I started with Universal Yums about a year ago and it has been an amazing experience. Every month I have my friends over and we do a taste test of the various snacks and rank them all. Always a day full of laughs and jokes and delicious snacks. My friends and I all love the variety and experience of going to a different country for the night. One of my favorite days every month. Good value for the price and a great experience, will be buying another year subscription soon! :) The Belgian box was my favorite but every box has brought new tasty treats into our lives. 10/10!

I love the fun information and maps and stickers. The snacks are always a nice little surprise

I bought this for my husband. We started with the medium box. I also placed two large orders on their website. Four months in I changed to the largest box for the balance of our subscription. We make the box a bit special, we chose one item per night to open. We enjoy it, and look forward to it. There are repeats of similar items from month to month, but the tastes are different.

I think it's fun to see what other countries snack on. I like most of the surprises and share with others. I just got hime from vacation to find a new box waiting. Can't wait to dig in.

These boxes are great! It had become a weekly tradition to sit with a friend and try a few of the snacks while learning about the country they're from. Some of the snacks are phenomenal... others, not so much. But that's honestly part of the fun!

Great variety of treats, my family of 4 can always split a bite or more to get a taste. And we love we can always order more of our favorites

We subscribed to universal yums a few years ago and loved it, so much that within a month or two we upgraded to the super yum box. After a year and a half I ended the subscription since the countries were becoming repetitive. After a few years my daughter said she missed it and asked to subscribe again. I instantly paid for a year of the super yum box and regret it. I don’t feel the upgraded price is worth what more you get. Years ago we never got little throw away toys and trinkets but now that’s a part of the super yum box. I want more food to try, not little toys no one touches and just get thrown away.

From the ads, photos and reviews I've seen, I feel like the boxes are a bit of a letdown. I've got 3 boxes so far and each seems to have similar items every month, even though they're from a different country. For example, every shipment I've gotten has had some kind of "ketchup" flavored chip. Why? I get that these are supposed to be very different but I find myself throwing most of it away. Hopefully they get better as I've paid for a year subscription and this does not seem worth it...
