Don't Waste Your Money

If you want someone to actively help you build your business, this is not the company for you. They will do the bare minimum. Ranking high on google (as these guys do) does not correlate with ability. Do your research before you decide to use these guys. I have found some far superior agencies that highlighted just how little Upbeat did for me.
I was with Upbeat for 9 months. There were many negatives, but here are the highlights.
* In the first 4 months the pixel was firing twice. Any agency worth their salt would be looking at analytics as well and would have picked this up immediately. 4 months and it was me who discovered it.
* During one of the peak periods in my business, I attempted to offer insights about my business and how best to market the product. I was told by the CEO to ‘let us do our job’. Understanding my company clearly wasn’t important to him.
* In the last month, we made a negative return. No one called to discuss what to do about it. They would have carried on regardless.
* In my feedback when I left, I commented that the new account manager hadn’t bothered to call to introduce themselves. This was one of many account managers. Not only did he not take the feedback onboard, but the CEO also called me rude for not calling them to introduce myself!!! Somehow they didn’t realise it should be the other way round.
* I was asked for reasons for why I left. When I shared them, rather than address the issues, the CEO came back with a sore and tetchy response, blaming the performance on my product and the time of year. Not only is this a weak way to respond, but my revenue from other channels (and common sense) beg to differ.
* The biggest red flag is that they do not have reviews embedded in their service. None on facebook. None on their site (except ones they have selected). Only this page that they can’t control. It is the clearest evidence of their approach to business.
The one exception to this review was the lady managing my Instagram account who was amazing and went above and beyond.
No doubt the CEO will write some silver-tongued response to this, but I assure you, this is a badly run agency.

Hello Dicky,

More than happy to respond to all of your points -

1. Pixel firing twice - Lucky for us we screen record all on-boarding setups, therefore we can prove the purchase event was firing once when we took the project onboard. I do remember you causing an issue with your website, after that the event started to fire twice. Thank you for spotting your own error.

2. I do remember the continuous calls and emails one Saturday afternoon. As mentioned at the time, during busy periods we do need to focus on optimising the account as the spend is higher (therefore it needs to be watched). I don't remember you wanting to provide any positive 'business insight or marketing practices' during this time.

3. That’s correct 1 out of the 9 months there was a negative return. The remaining 89% of the time there was a positive return. Thanks for pointing this out. This negative return also came in the final month of management when you refused to answer our phone calls to discuss the campaigns.

4. You had two account managers during your period with us. You refused to acknowledge the name of the second account manager and kept sending her blunt emails. You are rude. You were rude to my team and you were rude to me.

Dicky, as I've said to you many times, despite your continued negativity (even months after finishing working together), I really wish you the best of luck.

If you ever fancy dropping by to meet the team and myself to have a proper chat please feel free.

Kind regards,

Jordan

This company is a SCAM

This company is a SCAM. They took a 600 pound set up fee from us. Hooked up the wrong Facebook page to our account. Meaning we were paying for traffic to the wrong Facebook page. Used a campaign with expired codes, didn't get the copy approved.

WE spotted the errors and addressed them, and cancelled immediately. Stating we wanted a refund. 6 months later. No refund.

Jordan, claims he runs upto 50,000 Pounds in adverts for companies! It's amazing how much he's hanging on to our scammed 600 pounds. Wed be very surprised if he has any high profile clients like this, with his attitude.

We are now in the process of going to small claims court through a solicitor to get our fee back. JUST DONT BOTHER.

Hi Jolie,

Great to hear from you finally, it's ashame you chose to communicate via a review site rather than get in touch directly.

I'm happy to address all of your points above.

We're a real company, real staff, real clients and love what we do. Happy for you pop in, our office is in Brixton, London. We're definitely not a scam.

The error with regards to the Facebook page and ad account was an issue. Facebook support informed us there was a bug in their system which caused this error. You have seen screenshots of this conversation already and Facebook even provided an adspend voucher to apologise and cover any lost spend. This was not our fault.

The discount code and ad copy were all taken from your website, your team at the time we're fully aware of this.

When this situation happened six months ago we tried to get hold of you several times, but both you and your team ignored us. Hence our shock to read this review written six months later. We're a friendly bunch, you could have just got in touch.

As soon as we did have your bank details and you indicated the service was not right for you the refund was issued within 24hrs. All of this can be proven.

With regards to client spend, we have many clients that spend £50k+ a month. We've spent millions of pounds on Facebook and generated tens of millions of pounds of revenue for our clients. I've said it a few times now, you have a great business and we're gutted we missed out on the opportunity of scaling your account.

We would like to wish you the best of luck on your journey.

Kind regards,

Jordan Bucknell
