I originally ordered in July 2014 and was told the item was out of stock but was prepared to wait, finally cancelled the order in March 2015 and am now in the process of getting my money back from Paypal. I am also reporting this company to Trading Standards so that other people should not be used by this company.

I placed an order in January still not received it , no replys to my emails known trying to get my money back through the bank , this company should be investigated

awful, waited for me to contact them before telling me they didn't have it in stock, then told me i would get my money back but never heard from them again after that.. didn't even have a phone number that i could contact them on ... luckily i paid through paypal who got me my money back.. looking at the other reviews it seems like i wasn't the only one

I tried to buy an urn for my MIL. Turned up after 4 weeks; wrong colour and damaged. i paid 12 pounds to return and had to raise a paypal issue to get my initial money back which in itself took 3 weeks. All told it took almost 2 months from initial order to getting my initial payment returned. I'm still 12 quid out of pocket. When going through the whole ordeal of cremating a loved one, the last thing you need is a "company" adding to an already stressful experience.

This "company" also has two websites under different names (look for the name "lay to rest" at the very bottom of the website homepage) run by the same person (google for "male funeral celebrant rotherham" - hint; he's not an illusionist).

In the end I used [Ext.Ref.] and had the product i wanted within 5 days; I cannot recommend them enough.

Urn did not turn up, after several calls Im informed its not made yet and wont be for around 6/8 weeks ( this is after waiting 2 half weeks. Still no refund which I have been promised and no one answering the phone. AVOID

i ordered 2 memory beads which were paid for in july. After no communication from the company i called to see when to expect my order as 3 weeks had already passed. i was told there was a hold up and to expect delivery in another 3 weeks. Again no communication and i called then again. After many emails and fobbing off from the company i asked for a refund. They informed me they had sent a cheque, which i also never received and had to raise a dispute through my credit company who cleared the matter up with 48 hours and refunded money back into my account.
i would give this company a wide berth

Laytorest lay great claim to the fact that they are a British company, and live up to that expectation. Everything I ordered from American companies on the same day arrived within four days, after a fortnight Laytorest hadn't even noticed that they didn't have the item in stock, let alone, notify me.

After ordering the item was delivered very quickly and in very good condition due to good packaging

I found the lady that answered the phone extremely kind, understanding to the circumstances in that we had a member of the family returning from Afghan and needed the chosen casket with name engraved as quick as possible so my sister could be layed to rest before my nephew's return. It arrived within 48 hours.

What you see is what you get with good service and good value. Good quality product and a good service. Would recommend.

I sadly lost my husband at 55 yrs old ,a bad experiance in itself leaving me to cope with a 14 yr old daughtr.We were able to view this site with ease & found exactly what we wanted--- which was not your average urn(lovely wooded urn with music notes on both of which he greatly enjoyed.The best bit was no extra cost for a little insciption on the urn which i think has really helped . thank-you

I think it inappropriate to ask for a review for such a personal product which is purchased at a very emotional time and by contacting and asking for opinion brings all the memories and sadness back from that time.

The cremation urn is well designed and is professionaly manufactured. It has the pride of place on my mantlepiece & is very attractive and pleasing to the eye. I could not have chosen a more beautifully crafted urn to honour my darling wifes last resting place.

After delivering the incorrect item with the correct despatch note, a replacement item was despatched which I received the following day. I fully accept that sometimes things can go wrong but it's the swift resolution of problems that makes the difference and the likelihood of recommending to others.

I would have expected home delivery and it looks like something from a gift shop. I will not use it for the purpose it was bought and it was very expensive for what it was.

I found the whole experience to be fantastic!! From choosing my item to it being delivered. It was so fast and easy less than 5 days from order to delivery!! Would highly recommend this company.
