If there were negative star ratings...

If there were negative star ratings, I would've used the most negative. Every post on this board encapsulates to one degree or another my experience with Used remanns. What a joke of a company. Long story short, I ordered an Acura replacement engine, their site says fully tested, leak tested, etc. BS. Engine delivered in a somewhat timely fashion, but as soon as it's uncrated, there was purple RTV where the oil pan gasket was. that's odd. Leak down test straight up failed, inspection of timing belt showed that clearly this engine sat in a junkyard outside for a long time. further more, the valve timing was COMPLETELY off, buttoned back up and called warranty. "Oh, yes, we'll get that taken care of, we need pics of the heat tabs and the stock number" I provide. "Ok,sent to upper mgmt"
No further contact, i follow up, "Yes, It's been forwarded to mgmt", "Ok, When can you refund my money and pick this thing up?" "We'll get you a bill of lading" Ok, more waiting, no response, I follow up again, with Art, with Allen, with anybody that answers their phone, all BS. I initiate a chargeback through my CC company. I call them again, "oh, we can't talk to you since you're disputing the charges, but don't get rid of the engine or you'll be cited for fraud". Meanwhile I get the credit on my card, so eff em.
Waiting to hear what the final decision is on the credit charges, but pretty sure it's going to go my way. The reviews have provided enough evidence that they are a shady company.

BUYER BEWARE

This company (Remanns) sent quote for a motor with <98,000 backed by 5 yr/ 50,000 mile warranty for $1200. Called company and they claimed the motor was located in WI and they had completed compression check. Ordered motor and took about 4 weeks to receive. Once received, the motor appeared to be in bad shape for a motor with <98,000 miles on it. The motor was shipped from an auto salvage yard from Dallas, NC and the tag stated grade A which meant the motor had between 60,000 and 200,000 miles per their website. Decided to run carfax on the VIN and turns out the motor had 237,000 miles on it. Called Remanns and demanded a refund due to fraud which they agreed to since they falsely advertised a motor had <98,000 miles and Hooper Auto Salvage incorrectly graded the Motor as an "A" grade motor. Remanns is just an outsourcer of auto parts that doesn't know anything about the part. They are charging a premium for the 5yr/50,000 mile warranty since the same motor that was shipped from NC per the auto salvage website (Hooper Auto Salvage) was selling the same motor for $200. BEWARE of this company and do your research. Lucky for me, I never installed the motor.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!
Beware. After purchasing the engine I made many attempts to contact the company with no response to both phone and emails. All I was initially trying to do was gather information regarding the shipping so I can follow the tracking of the engine. I filed a dispute with my credit card and after 90 days of the dispute I received a refund minus 25% for an engine they never intended to ship. These guys should not have the ability to have the website that steel from the public. What is America coming to.

I trusted them that they only deliver quality tested engines

I ordered a used engine with the belief they actually did proper testing of the engine and the 5yr warranty. The sent me a used 4.3l chevy to the shop I hired to install the engine. The engie was started and had a serious miss. They check to make sure all was correct then pulled the spark plugs to check compression and found the #1 spark plug covered with collant. After filing a warranty claim they came back asking for photos which makes no sense since the engine never ran long enough to get hot and never left the shop. this claim "All of our used engines are compression tested and steam cleaned." I have photo proof the engine was never cleaned in the slightest and the diagnostics from the shop proves the compression testing was never done. Had the testing actually been done they would have seen the coolant on the plugs and wide variances of compression readings which indicate the engine had serious issues. I initiated the warranty return and failed tro meet the 7 day return policy because the mechanic got snowed in. I called the company to explain the issue with the mechanic and they falt out got runde and refused to work with me. I've filed a complaint with the BBB and will be filing a small claims case if they refuse to pay back all the expenses incurred by their failing to do what they said they do in verifying the engine was reliable. The aamount Im out due to their bad faith fraud is over $4000

Bait n switch engine.Remanns delivered a tightly wrapped…

Remanns delivered a tightly wrapped engine strapped to a pallet. Upon unwrapping the engine I discovered that the oil pan had a fist size hole in it. The valve cover had a saw cut thru it and the manifold also has a large saw cut thru it. They have been unresponsive so the engine still sits at my house. I need to return to them for refund. Looks like engine is reject from a demolition derby.

Ordered 1.6 liter engine for 12 Soul…

Ordered 1.6 liter engine for 12 Soul and 2 months later, no engine. Called over 20 times and get hung up on, no call backs, no emails. They said the engine got pushed behind something and lost for 6 weeks, but was now sent 10 days ago and no tracking info still. Today is the last straw. I will call the manager back and I am requesting a full refund. If they don’t issue it, Wells Fargo will help with these scammers. At this point, I paid a lot of money for the vehicle, but would rather send it to the junkyard then deal with this crap. How is the government not getting involved. We have been brought down on by them harder for much lesser things. Ridiculous!

Absolute crooks!!!!!

Absolute crooks!!!!!
Purchased engine online. After 3 weeks called to find out status after told would ship in 7-10 days. Got the run around telling me it was being inspected. Three days later is was crated for shipment. Three days later told still in shipping. Now after getting a bit nervous, did some research. Turns out they have scammed a lot of people. I called to cancel order. They happily send me a cancellation form requiring me to agree to a 25% cancellation fee. I refused and sent and email instructing them to cancel order and I would not pay the cancellation fee. They cancelled the order and I still got charged $886 cancellation. My credit card company was no help because when you order, you have to check a box agreeing to a 25% cancellation fee. I had no intention to cancel until they began giving me the run around. Can't believe they are able to do this. CROOKS!!!!!!!!!!

I returned the engine because my engine was rusted, in poor condition and because my mechanic recommended that I do not accept it upon delivery.

I’m writing this review to help you avoid the ordeal and hassle that you may experience working with this business. I purchased an engine from ‘Used.Remanns.Com’ over the phone on August 4th, 2021 for my Dodge Ram 1500 5.7-liter truck. Three weeks after I ordered I called to see the status of my order. They said they had no information. I continued call each week to check the status of my order; it was after over two and half months later that I started to hear they were getting the engine palletized for shipping. It took them about three months to get a used engine no requiring any rebuild, and they pushed past their own deadlines and sent me the engine late.

When the engine delivery arrived at the Dodge dealer the mechanic called me to ask if they should accept the engine. He recommended that I do not accept the engine due to the poor condition, rust, and the risk that it could have problems. So I did not accept the engine.

I never heard from the company about getting my refund or any other needed information in the return process. So, after waiting for several weeks I contacted my credit card company to contest the charges. Several weeks after this I got news from Used.Remanns.Com had appealed to my credit card company and filed to contest the refund to my card. They sent a bunch of return and purchase policies to my credit card company to support their appeal that I had never seen. I ended up having to pay Used.Remanns.Com over $1,500 for the engine that I returned and had never accepted delivery of due to the shipping and a restocking fees. So, how am I supposed to know all these policies if Used.Remanns.Com did not have the decency of communicating them with me?

Please stay away, they will do whatever they need to do to not refund your money for selling garbage!

I had the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced with Used.Remanns.Com. I am not only not be buying from this company again but telling everyone I know about them, so they do not suffer as I did.

Used.Remanns.Com has poor quality parts, horrible customer service and communications, and no integrity as business.

CROOKS!

CROOKS!

I bought an engine for my Ford f150 that was supposed to have 83k miles on it. Got it, looked like someone wiped their butt with it. Mechanic installed it and 2 of the cylinders were low compression; engine totaled plus crank shafts are toast.

This is after they took 3 weeks to deliver it because they were doing such a "thorough" inspection of the engine or probably cutting it out of some piece of garbage at the junk yard (arrived looking like they used a cutting torch on some pieces).

I emailed them and spoke with the motor refund guy and he said "engine worked fine, we have a video of it running". Dude obviously trying to weasel his way out of the refund. I asked him to send me the video with the serial number of the engine in the video to cross reference as well as a test showing compression was good. He didn't address that and said he submitted the claim. I demanded he pay for my 2.3k labor costs for my mechanic to put in the crappy engine and he gave me a number to contact the support person for the labor side of the refund.

I called the refund number and this lady answered and said "we don't refund initial installations of the motor, we only pay for the labor if the motor blows and you have to have a new one installed.”. So now I am stuck with a $2.3k installation bill on top of the $2k I spent on the engine. Too boot, now I have to spend another $1k to remove the installed engine to send back to them to MAYBE get $2k refund. They tell me as well shipping isn’t free if they find anything “wrong” with the engine, which based on all the reviews about their corruption, I am sure they will try to find a way to weasel their way out of paying me the full amount.

After doing some research I found out that their parent company was sued by the state of Wisconsin in 2017 for ripping people off as remanns.com is apart of a parent company that runs this scam in many different states under many different LLC names.

STAY AWAY DON’T BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM OR YOU COULD END UP IN $4-5K IN DEBT LIKE ME!

Definitely getting my lawyer involved.

Remanns engines is a complete rip-off…

I ordered an engine from Remanns and it was received at my mechanics shop damaged. I called them and they set up for a return through Fedex. When they received the engine back, I contacted them about a refund and they said a fraudulent claim was made. The engine was purchased 6/29/22, delivered 7/15/22 and returned about 2 weeks later. I tried to contact them about my refund but nobody wants to talk to me. I finally got hold of Sancho at remanns and he said he was not going to refund the money because my bank said a dispute was filed with my bank but that was a lie. today is 10/27/22 and I did file a dispute with my bank today because they refused to give me a refund. USE CAUTION with this company. They are a big FRAUD.

Bought what was advertised as 37k…

Bought what was advertised as 37k transmission for a 2011 F150. Transmission is no good and repair shop said there was no way that this was a 37k transmission and would not program with the truck. I tried to email, call and even have the repair shop talk to them but they have igorned my emails and won't answer the phone. I am doing a charge back with my credit card company. DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE.

Bait and switch

Bait and switch. Ordered a 2010 Civic engine with a claimed 56k miles. Received a 2006 that looked like it had 200k and a bad oil leak. Took them three weeks to ship and they refunded less than half the amount after we had them take it back. Bait and switch. Filing a claim with Amex.
