Jag at V12 Sports and Classics Hinkley
was very professional. Was greeted in the waiting area by him, went through the details of the car prior to taking it on a test drive. He had the car ready for a test drive, allowed time to walk round and inspect the car thoroughly. Was able to answer all my questions in relation to the car, warranty and extras. Was fair on pricing on the extra coverage for the car and was happy to help.

Variety of selection at good market value. Even though I didn’t purchase the car that I initially reserved, we were given other options based on our needs. We were able to drive away with another car of our choice on the same day. Very attentive staff.

I was sold a ELECTRIC car with a pre-existing MANUFACTURE RE-CALL. The JAGUAR IPACE. The FAULT advising me to STOP driving due to the HIGH VOLTAGE OVERLOAD within 4 days. Under the CONSUMER RIGHTS ACT 2015 I am within my RIGHTS to reject the car is NOT FIT FOR PUROSE. I paid for an independent diagnostic test which confirmed the DEFECT. Two weeks of back & forth with V12 SPORTS & CLASSICS. They booked the car in for repair and I was given AUGUST 5th, so for 6 weeks I would not be able to drive it, in all, from purchase to fix it would 7 weeks which is unreasonable, whilst I continue to pay, they offered to swap the car, the SECOND car also had the same DEFECT, after informing V12 SPORTS & CLASSICS, Still within the 30 days of purchase I formally rejected the car, since then all communication from has stopped, emails & phone calls not responded to . I have informed the finance company ODDLE whose adviser also informed that I was in my rights to reject the car for a full refund, they would communicating with V12 SPORTS & CLASSICS to start the refund process. (This will be another thing they will try & drag out) PLEASE BUY with CAUTION & contact manufacture before purchasing as not all the reports they give are CORRECT. The battery report I was given was mis-leading & INCORRECT. Multi million pound company willing to hinder their reputation over a £11K car. Writing this review as it maybe the only way they may respond. The stress & turmoil caused by V12 SORTS & CLASSICS over the past month is unmeasurable.

I was a bit unsure about where to start when looking for a car, but V12 Sports and Classics Hinckley made things straightforward. Ben and dan really helped me figure out which model suited my needs, which took away a lot of the stress. The process felt simple, and everything seemed to fall into place without any hassle. I left feeling confident in my choice and happy with how smoothly it all went.

We ended up purchasing a car and will be collecting it next week. The test drive was useful, and they provided honest advice without any pressure. They listened to what we needed and went through everything clearly, which helped my Aunt make her decision.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with V12 Sports & Classics and would not recommend them based on the customer service we received. It was absolutely disgusting.
We reserved a 2022 Peugeot E-2008, paid the £99 reservation fee and booked a 3pm appointment several days in advance. V12 knew we were travelling from Nottingham specifically to view and potentially purchase the car.
When we arrived, the car hadn’t been cleaned, had very little battery charge and honestly looked like it had been sitting in a field. We were told by the initial salesman, Sharkie, that they don’t charge cars because they receive so many vehicles every month and have such a high turnover. However, they had advance notice that we were travelling from Nottingham at a pre-booked time specifically to view this vehicle, so I don’t understand why it wasn’t at least prepared for our appointment.
What also confused me was being told they have such a high turnover that they can’t charge the vehicles, while at the same time the cars are advertised as being AA inspected. I’d genuinely be interested to know when these inspections take place if the vehicles aren’t even prepared before customers arrive to view them.
Before travelling, I had specifically asked whether there were any issues with the car and was told there weren’t. When we viewed it, there were several scratches that hadn’t been mentioned in the advert or during our conversations before the appointment.
We weren’t demanding a perfect used car. We simply asked whether the scratches could be repaired or, if not, whether a couple of hundred pounds could be knocked off so we could have them repaired ourselves. Instead, Sharkie brought over Tom, who introduced himself as the manager.
Tom immediately adopted an aggressive tone and asked what our issue was. As we tried to explain our concerns, we were interrupted and told, “So what do you want here? If you’re trying to get a discount, you’re not getting it”. He also tried to suggest the car hadn’t been washed or charged because we didnt book an appointment, even though we did book one and paid £99 to reserve the car.
He then left the room to supposedly inspect the car before storming back in, raising his voice and telling us the car was “more than acceptable for its age and mileage.” The car was only a 2022 model with around 56,000 miles, and that wasn’t even the point we were making. We simply wanted to know whether the cosmetic damage could be repaired or whether there could be a small contribution towards repairing it ourselves.
Throughout the visit we were repeatedly left sitting in a room for around 20 minutes at a time without any updates. In total we spent over four hours at the dealership.
The car also had no floor mats. When we asked about this, we were told, “Some people don’t like car mats,” which didn’t answer why they were missing from the car.
The whole experience made me feel belittled, dismissed and as though it was absurd to even ask about repairing damage that hadn’t been disclosed before we travelled. It felt like any question we asked was treated as a problem rather than part of buying a nearly £10,000 car.
To make matters worse, because the battery hadn’t been charged despite our appointment being booked in advance, we then had to spend our own money charging the vehicle before beginning the journey home, delaying us by another hour.
Afterwards, I called customer services to make a formal complaint. During that conversation I discovered that Tom isn’t actually a manager, despite introducing himself to us in that way, which made the situation even more confusing.
The issue was never that they refused to reduce the price. Dealers are perfectly entitled to say no. The problem was the attitude, the lack of preparation and the way we were spoken to throughout the visit. Spending close to £10,000 on a car should be an exciting experience, not one where you leave feeling completely disrespected and like an inconvenience.
UPDATE
I feel your reply misses the main issues I raised. Having since read other reviews, it appears poor customer service and vehicle preparation are a reoccuring theme. You refer to my “perception” of the interaction with your team. It was not simply my perception. The vehicle was unprepared (filthy and uncharged), the V5 was unavailable, and I was spoken to in a dismissive and unprofessional manner. Those are facts, not perceptions.

First of all i am happy with the purchase of my car with you overall. Cameron, our sales person, was friendly and mostly helpful throughout the process.
However two points I would like to mention is the addition of your “piece of mind” pack for £179 and extremely long waiting times.
Not at any point before filling out the paperwork was I made aware of the fact that there would be an additional £179 to pay at point of purchase.
When I queried it with Cameron, he said word for word that the £179 extra were “non negotiable “. When I pointed out that on your marketing material it clearly states that they are “optional”, he said that it is “only optional for taxi drivers “. After checking your marketing material, nowhere does it say that this fee is only optional for taxi drivers.
My friend who was with me is head of marketing in a big company and hence checked all your marketing materials straight away.
Hence at point of purchase, I did feel pressured into paying this extra fee to be honest. It’s not so much about the extra £179, but the fact that I was blatantly lied to from one of your sales people.
I then queried this with the sales manager who did the transfer of ownership at the end, and he was quite short with me when I pointed this out. His response simply was that Cameron wouldn’t have said that it is “mandatory “ and that all of your sales people automatically add this fee on and that “everyone who buys a car from you, buys this pack!”.
Also, when looking into the “free one year AA breakdown cover” it actually only gives you 1 free recovery a year and all additional call outs cost £99. You can then upgrade the service for £1 per month. Again this is a bit misleading, as you assume that you are getting one year’s worth of free breakdown cover.
So overall I’m very happy with the actual car and the sales person who took me for a test drive - I sadly can’t remember his name- was very friendly and helpful.
Also, on both days, when I viewed and test drove the car and purchased it, I had to wait for ages to be seen.
In fact, when I bought the car yesterday, our sales person let us wait for ages in the reception area, as he took another couple for a test drive in between processing my paperwork.

READ THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS! Unlawful Practices, Defective Vehicles, and Corporate Gaslighting - AVOID!
I purchased a VW Tiguan (LM22 UBH) from V12 for £21,695 via bank transfer. What followed was a masterclass in atrocious customer service, deceptive advertising, and a blatant disregard for UK consumer law.
The vehicle was advertised with specific premium wheels, upon cleaning the wheels we noticed they were poorly refurbished with paint flaking off, we then realised these wheels were not what was advertised on the website or Autotrader.
Electronic and safety systems failed. I took the vehicle to Parkway VW Leicester for an official main-dealer check. Their report formally documented a completely faulty GPS module/antenna, inaccurate MPG tracking, and a total failure of the Automatic Adaptive Cruise Control safety system. Crucially, VW pulled fault code B120D11 (short circuit to ground in the rear lid), backing up physical evidence that the rear bumper had been removed to repair a significant, undeclared rear-end collision prior to sale.
When I legally exercised my statutory 30-Day Short-Term Right to Reject the vehicle under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, V12 Aftersales attempted to aggressively deny my rights. Frontline staff falsely claimed that because I signed a face-to-face handover form at the showroom, I had "accepted the car" and waived my right to return it—a claim that is completely unlawful under UK law.
When I pushed back using the Volkswagen diagnostic evidence, V12 finally agreed to a rejection but attempted to enforce an unlawful £199 "collection fee" deduction from my refund because the car was "drivable." They sent me screenshots of Clause 23.1.3 of their terms and conditions to justify this. Under Section 20(8) and Section 31 of the Consumer Rights Act 2015, a business cannot use private terms and conditions to override statutory law, which dictates the trader must bear the full cost of a rejected return.
Delaying My £21,695 and Passive-Aggressive "Blame" Tactics.
After I threatened formal escalation to Leicestershire Trading Standards and the County Court, senior management stepped in and waived the illegal £199 fee. However, the aftersales team then attempted to stall my refund, falsely claiming consumer law allowed them to hold my £21,695 for "14 days from 4th August" (nearly a month after rejection).
I bypassed the human shields at the branch and escalated the entire file directly to the Directors. Only when faced with director-level escalation did the Head of Aftersales, intervene to push my payment date forward to Tuesday 28th July to avoid a court filing. True to corporate form, his final response attempted to gaslight me, claiming my complaint was "not upheld" and that the month-long delay was merely "my misunderstanding" of their emails.
V12 Sports and Classics relies on misleading advertisements, sells vehicles with hidden collision damage, handles complaints with frontline intimidation, and uses void contract terms to try and cheat customers out of their money. If you do find yourself trapped in a dispute with them, do not back down. Bypass the branch staff, escalate directly to the directors, quote the Consumer Rights Act 2015, and they will back down when they realize you cannot be bullied. Save yourself the stress and buy your car elsewhere.

I recently purchased the 2021 Audi Q5 from V12 Sports and Classic, and I couldn't be more pleased with my choice. The vehicle exudes a perfect blend of luxury, performance, and practicality. The design is sleek and modern. The interior is plush, with high-quality materials and intuitive technology that enhances every drive.
The SUV quality is smooth and composed, thanks to its refined suspension system, and the turbocharged engine delivers responsive power without sacrificing fuel efficiency.
My purchasing experience was completely seamless. I was left unattended for most of it, but understandably so since the team was swamped. Overall, the Audi Q5 has exceeded my expectations, offering a sophisticated driving experience that I look forward to daily.

Daniel Tuf was my sales manager and was so helpful to me deciding on my purchase. Was very clear and did not pressure a sale - he made the whole experience of buying a car positive and calm. I have recommended him to family and friends- nothing was too much trouble - thank you Dan

I contacted them regarding a car i'd seen made an apppointment to review and test drive, as the car had no MOT on the day of the test drive I chose to re-arrange. Had an "appointment" a few days later and was told the car would be ready on my arrival. After 1.5hrs of waiting I was told the car wasn't ready. No explanation could be provided why it wasn't ready. I wasted nearly 4hrs of my time and fuel driving to the site not to view a car.

Good price, great choice of cars, clean cars. Proffessional behaviour from the staff. We were able to reserve a car with a small deposit which was then refunded. The purchasing process was smooth.
There was bit of waiting time but understandable coz of the many interested customers.
