First visit to Belfast

First visit to Belfast and my partner"s Dad was taken unwell day one so we all needed to use taxi service a lot between Royal Victoria hospital and Crown Plazza Hotel each day. All Value Cab taxi drives we met were fantastic, shared stories of Belfast and given history lesson. We are very grateful for the excellent hospitality you all have showed us x

Why is it so difficult to get a taxi at Grand Central Station

I got off the bus at Grand Central Station late at night after a long day travelling. There were two taxis sitting in Glengall Street. When I asked the first one if he was available he asked me where I was going and when I said to East Belfast he just said ask the taxi in front. Same thing happened. Obviously both wanted to see if a better journey for them turned up. I hope either of them didn't get a fare. Disgusting behaviour and especially as I'm an older lady travelling alone and don't like to walk around the city centre looking for taxis. This is the second time recently I've tried to get a Value Cabs Taxi from the station after a long journey by bus. If you can't provide a proper taxi service from a big new Grand Central Station I suggest you give over that office of yours in Glengall Street to someone who can. I feel sorry for tourists who arrive in Belfast late at night if they have to depend on you to get anywhere

Abused and sworn at by Cab driver Value…

Abused and sworn at by Cab driver Value Cabs Toyota Avensis F N 1 8 J D O Wednesday 18th March 2026 11.30am.
I am disabled and was crossing a clear road. Driver Value Cab, drove recklessly towards me blasting his horn as I was close to the kerbside.
He stopped holding traffic up abusing me in a threatening manner.
Went on to hold the following traffic up again on a Green Light ( Yes Green ) and swore at me as I took a photo of the vehicle - reported to Value Cab manager and Taxi Licensing NI. Not fit to be a cabbie representing Value Cabs or the City of Belfast. He was carrying a customer in the back of the vehicle whilst committing a Public Order offence. Awaiting replies.

Taxi not bother turning up

Is there any point in booking a taxi , giving plenty of time and notice...
Had to carry heavy bags in wet windy weather ..not nice
For them to then state there is no specific time when.. or IF IT ..will Arrive ?

Not enough drivers available, what's the point of advertising this service ?

Advised the Taxi will turn up. "shortly".
What is SHORTLY??
next year.....in the afternoon after a nap. ????

Absolutely horrendous service since…

Absolutely horrendous service since they unfortunately took over my local taxi depot. Every single taxi has been late to the point my employer is docking my wages ,even though they are prebooked at least one day before. Calling the depot is just as painful, to be told " pre bookings and the app take priority " yet they don't? It's one thing to take over a local company but an entirely different thing to alienate the customer base they were trying to buy? It honestly makes zero sense.

horrendous treatment of OAPS re only a short non lucrative trip

horrendous treatment evening 9.45 pm outside their offices, Got off a 12 hour journey with Lochs and Glens, Glengall street. BTW we are OAPs with walking difficulties, walked up the the offices outside were 2 of their taxis with the passenger windows down, touting for fares, both refused us lifts to Fourwinds, obvious they would not make enough, Phoned their offices this morning, was told did I have their registration plates, and they were not obliged to pick people up and there was a freephone there, Neither pointed us to the freephone to book them. Passenger windows down mean only one thing touting for business. head office do not see to care one bit about our treatment. While waiting for a bus saw several doing same thing at the Europa waiting with their windows down saw one person approach they were also turned away, later on he drove off with no fare. 78% one star reviews says it all re this company

Prebooked confirmed taxi did not arrive.

I pre booked a taxi and received a confirmed booking notice 24 hrs before it was required. No taxi appeared at the allotted time but one minute later a text arrived saying that due to high demand my booking was running late. Even 30 minutes later there was still no taxi. This is the second time that Value Cabs have let me down.
AVOID if you can.

Pre-booked taxi....a joke

If there were zero stars that is what I would have given. I pre booked a taxi a week before I needed it to take me to the bus station to catch the 530 Air Coach to Dublin airport. I was outside my house waiting on the taxi when I got a text message to advise me they were trying to find me a taxi.....what!!!! I pre-booked a taxi a week ago, they knew I had a booking...why accept the booking if you can't guarantee a taxi. This makes no sense. My saving grace was my daughter had stayed over at my house and if she had not been there I would not have gotten to that bus station and would have missed my flight to Canada. Absolutely disgusting way to treat customers.

Don't use

We were first to order a taxi to take us home which I thought like any other taxis that I got was first come first served but no five other people came behind us and ordered a taxi and they got theirs before us one lady actually said to the driver that we have been waiting long before them and he said he wasn't for us I then asked every other taxis that pulled up to collect their passengers why has our taxi not come yet said it was nothing to do with him he's just given names to pick up so I'm assuming it's the person on the phone taking the bookings that's to blame for this we also had to give our postcode which none of the other people had to do I actually felt that we were discrimated against of were we lived will never use again

Unprofessional and greedy driver…

I ordered a taxi from their value cab phone near Belfast Grand Central. Before I even got into the car I told the driver I wanted to pay by card as had no sterling, only euros. He agreed. But at my house he said the card machine wasn't working. I tried to get him cash in house with no luck. And then suggested going to ATM. He then asked for €15 instead of £9.40. But I got him cash at ATM. Not a good experience and greedy driver. Promised myself I wouldn't use them again as other time they didn't show. This time I was badly stuck. But never again.

First booking with Valuecabs from the…

First booking with Valuecabs from the Royal Hospital to C*ou**mills . My driver was Pat . Pat is a Scots chap who was very decent and friendly to chat with . It was a relatively long journey and he made it seem shorter with his humour . The fare was steep because it was a fair distance away ( not Pat's fault of course ) from the hospital . I couldn't afford to give Pat a tip at the time though he definitely deserved one . If i run into him again there is a fiver waiting for you Pat . A really pleasant and decent man . Thank you, Pat .

DO NOT BOOK VALUECABS

DO NOT BOOK! We booked a day tour with them, called them multiple times across 2 weeks before the tour, itinerary discussed on call and on email, extra spots and charges were discussed on email as well. We even called the day before to check if driver was allocated and what he thought of the itinerary suggestion but no driver was allocated until the day of the tour and he was unaware of the itinerary or the email exchange between us and the company where everything was discussed. He totally dismissed the email thread and agreed terms and charged us based on the meter when prices were already discussed with the company. When we called ValueCabs after the tour, they admitted the discussions had taken place but did nothing to resolve the issue. In fact, they hung up on us mid-conversation. The website states they take card payments, but the driver claimed he will charge more with card payment so we have to get cash. Our driver (Lea) was not a guide at all — he barely spoke throughout the trip, offered no information about the sites, and showed no engagement whatsoever. We’ve done many tours across the UK, and this was by far the most unprofessional and disappointing experience we’ve ever had. Avoid ValueCabs at all costs. Poor communication, unprofessional behaviour, and zero accountability.

They need to fix their app

They need to fix their app. Booked taxi early via app. Didn't turn up on time . Phoned robot said 15mins. That went phoned driver not coming off. Wtf. In saying that phoned spoke to human explained late important appointment taxi there 5mins.brilliant driver calmed me and made me laugh for him 10 stars . For app nothing if I believed app would still be waiting on taxi as its on its way

Shocking behaviour from a driver on the road, blocked a street whilst sat on his phone then refused to move, then Proceeds to get out of his car and accosted a young women in the street making false claims she's hit his car then shoved his head into another witnesses face in aggressive manner...all whilst on duty! Reported it to Robert at the depot who was as useful as a two legged donkey and responded in rude manner! Never will I or any other witnesses use this taxi provider. Driven by idiots and operated by idiots!

Please trust all the one star reviews…

Please trust all the one star reviews and only use Value Cabs if you’ve literally no other options. Over an hour late and after 12 text messages they cancelled the ride. Just booked a FonaCab that is already on its way. Deleted the app and will never give Value Cabs another penny. Utterly pathetic company taking bookings when they know they can’t fulfill them.

Great service Value cabs Belfast

Booked a trip with value cabs, I requested 3 stops starting with carrick a rede rope bridge, my driver Stewart was at hotel early to pick me up, he took me to meny more places/points of interest, very knowledgeable, explaining the history of each place we visited, you couldn't ask for a better driver/guide, highly recommend Stewart and value cabs

Do not recommend value cabs

They lied and said they were outside my house waiting for me for 15 minutes and they weren't even outside my house bc I was watching the whole time looking out for it so they lied and hasn't came for me so I have been late for school and got told off and they don't even care I do not recommend value cabs

Horrendous service

Horrendous service, should be ashamed of themselves. My daughter was in Belfast for 2 nights, she booked through this excuse of a company. Money taken from her account, drivers charging her again. Driver rang to say he was there but wasn't and then said he had dropped them to their destination but did not but money taken. Had to book another cab and pay in full AGAIN. Avoid Avoid Avoid.

AVOID!!!

AVOID!!!! Booked a taxi at 16:45 for 23:45 for a lift to guarantee a lift home. Taxi rang 5 minutes before due to arrive, it was unfortunately missed, when rang back immediately they said 59 minute wait, contacted again to express our concerns as we were stranded in Belfast with no way home due to them cancelling one minute before pick up, woman on phone was extremely rude and confrontational stating the roads were closed which was lies as there was traffic coming and going from both sides. So unhelpful and has left us having to walk 90 minutes home after midnight. Do not use!!!!!
