Skip the line is a scam

Skip the line is a scam; guide was 20 minutes late and spent most time on the phone. The tour was given outside the Cathedral wile in the line. Not recommended.

Website INSIDE.COM is terrible and does…

Website INSIDE.COM is terrible and does not work for taking credit card payments to book Venetoinside.com tours.

We tried multiple cards and even our neighbors tried with their card ...and all with correct MasterCard, Visa, and American Express cards...EVERY TIME it came up with PAYMENT DENIED. Reasons cited were missing number, missing cvc, missing expiration. B.S. They were all inputed correctly.

Our cards worked fine on their competitor's site which is where we finally booked our tours.

Payment taken but no vouchers received via email for transport & activities booked for this coming weekend! Documents cannot be retrieved via website. No one answering phone calls or responding to emails!

I am very disappointed with my…

I am very disappointed with my transaction on Venetoinside.com.
I have purchased 6 tickets for the Doge Palace in May. Shortly after booking, I realized that Venetoinside.com is the ONLY website that does not offer the discounted tickets for over 65. I have paid 22 Euros for each of 6 tickets. I have now seen that all other websites offer discounted tickets for around 13 Euros for over 65. I am responsible for the group and I feel terrible that I have not made the best deal for them. I have contacted Venetoinside for a partial refund or a full refund, but I have not had an response. Stay away from this website and book elsewhere. Wish I had.

We regret you did not find the right ticket for you but this is our company policy regarding the online sales of Venice Civic Museums tickets. Concerning the refund, this is not possible, as clearly indicated on the cancellation policy you accepted before completing the online booking procedure.

Just Run away.

Run away..
they charged us 40 euros for free 24 hour ferry and we weren’t allow to travel back to the airport and had to buy a new tickets which cost us 30 more euros.

On our portal you can buy the actv tickets to travel around Venice and its islands: we offer varius type of tickets, such as one way, 24h, 48h, ... Some of them, at an additional cost, also include the airport transfer bus, one way or return. If you paid €40, we may suppose you bought two 24h tourist travel card which does not include the airport transfer.

Most Smooth Tour in all of Italy

This was one of the most smooth tours we took in all of Italy. It was a little confusing where to go when we were picking up our tickets because they people passing them out were not wearing the attire they said they were going to wear but we just looked for the name of the company and was able to find where we should go. The tour guide was amazing, she explained everything so well and even coordinated it that we could skip the line too. I would definitely use this company in the future.

we coudlnt use the vip ticket to get inside the san marks church because was flooded.I dont understand why they sell this tickets because san marks square is flooded 250 days a year,i asked to get the money back but they didnt refund the money

Unfortunately, the phenomenon of ‘acqua alta’ cannot always be forecast in advance and may fully inhibit the access to the Basilica. Please consider that high water is a real problem for Venice and its inhabitants. We try to do our best in order to prevent this from affecting the experience of tourists but it is not always possible! We apologize again for any inconvenience! If you read the other reviews conncted to this service you will realize that the skip-the-line service is appreciated by almost all of our customers because it allows them to spend much more time in visiting many other interesting things in Venice! As for the refund, both online and on the voucher you received after your reservation it is clearly indicated that ‘The cost of the Skip the Line service is NOT refundable’.

I booked for St. Marks earlier yesterday prior to the floods beginning. They would not honor the ticket. Upon receiving the email today, I initially thought it would be a refund. Such is not the case. When discussing my situation with the representative at the entry there was a clear lack of sympathy. Even that kindness would have lessened that I just spent money for nothing.

Very difficult to find the ticket I was…

Very difficult to find the ticket I was looking for. I wanted the entry to St Marks Basilica (to skip the line). It is 3 euro per person. They want to sell you a much more expensive package that is not necessary. I finally found the cheaper ticket and purchased it. The time was great and entrance was quick and easy. Be careful that you find exactly what you are looking for before you purchase. There are no refunds.

Deceitful and disrespectful.

Deceitful and disrespectful. Deceptive practice of steering you to 13€ San Marco Campanile ticket vs 3€ Basilica ticket. Rudely ignore your request to be treated fairly by correcting the error that they encouraged to get 20€ more for an unwanted ticket. Email requests for satisfaction ignored.

Unfortunately, these skip-the-line services have strict time slots to respect and it is not possible for us to change the date and the time of the service after you complete the booking procedure: the bar code and the qr code included on your voucher are related to the date and time you actually booked and, once they have been issued, they cannot be sold again. We regret you made a mistake while making your reservation, but please consider that we are transparent in warning our customers about the impossibility to change the reservation. We can assure you that, whereas possible, we always meet our customers' requests about rescheduling their booking.

Best way to buy Water Bus tickets

We used them to book and pay for our Water Bus tickets so we didn't have to queue at ticket ofcies. We chose the 2-day tickets for unlimited travel. You receive an email with your voucher that shows a PNR code plus instructions. Basically, go to a ticket machine, select language then select "venice>connected" at the bottom of the screen. Tap in your PNR code and all your tickets are printed.

What they don’t tell you in this tour…

What they don’t tell you in this boat tour of Murano/ Burano is that they make you walk at quick pace for 15 minutes in the beating, hot sun from the Doge’s palace area to the moored boat. We had children and elderly with us and they found it extremely difficult. Not one iota or consideration for the struggling elderly or children under 5 from the company staff! When we complained the representative Alberto and his female guide companion were extremely rude and unpleasant, failing to show any empathy or understanding of the elderly and young’s plight. Very poor experience, and definitely NOT recommended for Senior citizens or Children. Booking Ref: VS18-158675, Date of Tour 23.8.18, Time 14.30

Venice combo: gondola tour and Basilica - really great!

I purchased the Venice gondola tour with StMarc Basilica visit - well planned and executed! Guide showed up in time, provided stickers to sort folks into groups by program purchased. Gondola ride was perfect, Gianni was nice and non-intrusive, but engaged when we asked questions.

The second portion, the Basilica visit was a tiny bit confusing on pinpointing where to meet, but once we successfully reconnected with the guide, they quickly assigned us to the English-speaking guide (at this point you join a tour in progress). If you have a backpack, they show you where to drop it of for free safe-keeping.
We entered through a separate entrance and inside were fast-tracked to the altar. Later sat separately in a cordoned off area listening to our guide.

All worked as a well-ouled machine saving ton of time and confusion - well-worth planning and purchasing ahead!

False information on website, no support

Sold me tickets that according to their website "don't need to be printed and could be shown on a smartphone". This was untrue, as when I arrived at the venue they wouldn't accept the tickets on my phone. Tried to contact them on their website and have received no response after 2 weeks. Terrible, avoid.

Very bad , waited in line 2 times . They didn’t have printer
Had to walk a mile and half in the sun and terrible humidity to find a printer ! And we came back. We had to go through all security check again

Whenever possible, the voucher can be presented on electronic devices. For the Doge’s Palace this is not possible since the regulation of Venice Civic Museums, to which we have to be in compliance, requires to show a paper copy of the voucher at the ticket offices. We regret you missed this important detail since we are transparent in specifying this important detail online, in order to inform our customers of this fundamental requirement before they book the service.
As for the utility of the advance booking, we can assure you that most of our customers find the service useful in order to book everything online prior to departure.
