We did a Wild Atlantic Way (Ireland) premiere of the tent (not to be advised during January- the weather is hardly on your side.) but it was amazing, easy to set up (including the Annex) and so easy to pack in again. Confy and you felt safe even though the wind did its best to prove us wrong. We would recommend Ventura rooftop tent to anyone who wants a perfect wild adventure,

I rarely leave reviews nor do i take them into consideration as i find people often only leave negative reviews....but roof tent shopping is a whole different ball game.

We bought the 1.4 extended deluxe with annex back in 2021 from Ventura. Around the same time friends of ours bought a more expensive tent from a different company; there was a huge difference in cost between the 2 brands and yes when you sit them right next to each other there are differences in the look and feel of the fabrics theirs feels more expensive, feels better quality. We were at this point slightly concerned that we had made a bad purchase and we were going to regret it, because you buy cheap you buy twice, right?

Wrong.

In this instance we couldn't be more wrong.

Our "cheap" ventura tent has held up throughout the same conditions and performed as well as a tent costing almost double. We have enjoyed many many trips so far and have remained comfortable, warm and dry, even on the west coast of Scotland and swamplike conditions in a very wet Skye. We spent a week travelling scotland last summer, and we cannot fault our tent. We are a family of 2 adults, 2 younglings (13&11) and 2 dogs and we have plenty of space. The foam mattress gives the most comfortable sleep I've ever had in a tent. Everything, and i mean everything, the tent, annex, groundsheet, 4 peoples sleeping bags 6 pillows and blankets aswell as 2 air beds all fit into the tent when folded and zipped on the roof; and theres still space; freeing up plenty valuable boot space! The annex is perfect for additional sleeping space (kids and dogs), or for changing in & out of wetsuits (we sup aswell).

We changed our vehicle this winter, and our ladder was no longer long enough, we also damaged one of our zips and i was delighted with the customer service from ventura. A quick phonecall and we had new & replacements parts shipped out same day (and I ordered a side awning at the same time. Which is also fabulous and we can't wait to get out and use it) ventura unfortunately didnt stock a deeper groundsheet but were extremely helpful in helping me source one, so we are kitted up and ready once more for a year of adventures.

Fitting it to the car (and we've done this twice, with 2 different styles of fittings) is relatively easy, the tent itself is not too heavy to be lifted, and it feels secure on there.

My only gripe, and it's mild. Is that the annex could use more peg points as there are only one in each corner and the ground sheet can flap about a bit in the wind, however once your "moved in" and theres weight on it its not really that big of an issue.

Just bought a roof tent, annex and side awning from Ventura. Fantastic experience from start to finish! The web site is straight forward, easy to navigate, has clear detailing of what you are purchasing and great pictures to offer visual support in product choice. Payment was easy and I received my order within 72 hours, couldn't fault it! Throughout the process, I was kept regularly updated by both Charlotte and William via email. I am extremely pleased with the quality of the tent, you get a lot for for your money! Just a genuine, well run family business offering a brilliant product that I would go as far as saying exceeds many of the more expensive roof tents on the market that you end up paying more for just for the name. From selecting the right roof tent for myself all the way through to delivery I received amazing support from Charlotte. Every question I asked even the silly ones was never a problem and everything was explained in so much detail! Will 100% recommend Ventura to anyone who’s thinking of getting a roof tent.

Purchased a roof tent off them last year and it's fantastic! The build quality it's superb and I definitely recommend them with their competitive pricing. Aside from the product itself the customer service is also brilliant. I've needed replacement parts off them which they supply if you ask. Stupidly I tore the weatherproof cover driving under a height barrier. They sent me a new on out and it arrived next day! Excellent company 5*

After reading positive reviews we placed an order. Very shortly afterwards we received an email. Because of various issues that the company were experiencing we were advised that our order would be delayed, which meant that we had to cancel our holiday. However we were offered various camping equipment free with our delivery as an apology and asked if we could bare with them until our tent was ready. We agreed with this. Our tent arrived and set it up and all was fine. However there was no sign of any of the free camping equipment we were promised. Sent a couple of emails which received no response. Very disappointed as we had to cancel our trip, the first we would have been on since 2019. Also the tent arrived with minimal packaging, one layer of cardboard. Unfortunately the underside had a massive scar right across it. It didn't affect the use of the tent but packaging needs to be improved, as fo their promises of free camping equipment.

Good value item, even better service and communication from Will and Charlotte, bought September 2022 after speaking to will, and very happy, Did have an issue but that was sorted out very quickly and smoothly with Ventura keeping me informed all the way through, I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending the company to anyone as the price is very good and the extended roof tent is the one that does it all,just want get out with it now, they might be a small company but they certainly one that cares,, many thanks to both of you

Purchased a roof tent, which was all good.
But then came the issue of trying to get hold of them.
Yes I understood they are a small business, but customer care is important.
After being told I would get a call back in 20 mins still waiting a hour later. I Called back.
Discussed fitting date and was told again I would get a call to confirm later that day.. 4 days later still no call.
Sadly I have lost faith in the company and have cancelled the order.

Speedy delivery and brilliant customer service!! Fitting the tent was very easy. We look forward to our first camping trip in it.

Picked up my Ventura Deluxe Extended Roof Tent with Annex and 270degree awning from Will Jeakins at the warehouse in Epping.

I had agreed with Will to have the tent fitted to my 110 Defender.

What can I say? I am genuinely delighted with the whole experience so far! Will and Louie spent a couple of hours working out how to fix the tent to my original Land Rover rack and then fixing it firmly in place along with the awning.

All I can say is they handled everything and simply worked to solve the problems presented by my roof rack and by solving problems fine step at a time until it was done.

Nothing was too much trouble. They politely declined my offer to help (probably not a bad call anyway) and simply got on with it on a roasting Saturday morning with little shade and enormous patience.

The tent is plenty big enough, the awning is enormous and the annex complaints the tent and provides a secure, dry space to get in and out of the tent.

There are a lot of tent players in the market right now but call Will Jeakins at Ventura Roof Tents and it will be worth your time.

There's even a bonus if you're a Hugh Grant fan!! You can have your picture taken with Will and no one will ever know the difference!!

Great guy, great team, brilliant products and a fanbloodytastic service to complete the buying experience!

Recently brought a car tent for my truck, came in good time and their customer services where great and they kept me up to date with delivery times.

I had an issue that was dealt with by William swiftly and with little fuss. This is customer service as it should be. Wonderful company and excellent staff.

I purchased a roof tent from Ventura roof tents last year, and to say I'm blown away by the quality and the customer service is an understatement! I had some difficulties in initially fitting this to my roof, but in fairness the customer service I received was first class.

Had a phone call from Ventura who were extremely keen to do whatever it took to resolve the issues. Nice to know there are companies out there who care enough to get in touch. 👍

Had my venture hard shell tent for almost 2 years now, many great nights sleep. I keep it on my roof full time in all weathers, no sign of wear or weathering damage.

Absolutely fantastic company and roof tent. Bought the wrong sized ladder 🙄 company advised straight away and alternative ordered. Delivered as soon as available. Arranged collection of the one ordered in error. Return labels emailed to me. Tent light enough for 2 to get it onto the van roof. Mattress great and very spacious inside. Company staff just fantastic. Would highly recommend. Best customer service I’ve had in years.
