I can warmly recommend Verulam Chartered Surveyors. Ryan was very quick to respond to my enquiry and professionally answered all my initial questions. I contacted a number of local companies as we tried to move on this fast - Ryan was the first to respond, with the soonest availability and in addition competitively priced.
He conducted a full building survey on a Victorian property in the centre of St Albans and we received a very detailed report including photographic documentation within only five days. Quite a few areas of concern were discovered and the summary of repairs was very helpful. Again, Ryan was very quick to reply to any questions we had regarding the report and assisted with further advice.

Ryan and Verulam completed a full structural survey for us on an early 1900s 2 bed terraced house.
The service we received was absolutely brilliant from start to finish and we can't recommend them enough.
Ryan was always really friendly, helpful and quick when responding to our queries by email. The survey included a drone view of the roof and was really well priced. It was also extremely prompt and he completed the survey and turned around the report by the date he promised. The report itself was excellent, a lot more thorough than we were expecting with lots of supporting pictures. He also gave us a call to explain the report in more detail and ensured we were comfortable with all the content and so we fully understood all the issues raised.

I opted for a full building survey on a 1930's house.

We heard about Verulam Chartered Surveyors from friends and couldn't be happier! They have a competitive price and were able to schedule the survey within a week, which was much quicker than other competitors that even charged more.
The survey was very detailed, highlighting potential issues and estimated cost to resolve. The info from the survey allowed us to discuss several matters with our solicitor and have peace of mind when buying.
The roof survey was done at an extra free and done with a drone, vs other companies who use binoculars.

I was very impressed and completely satisfied with the service I received. The sellers were in a rush hence I was under pressure to move quickly - Verulam were able to arrange the survey very quickly and came back, again quickly, with a very thorough and detailed report. The report included a number of photographs to help illustrate any issues plus each section included explanations so I was able to understand exactly the implications of any findings. I also found the report to be completely balanced and if I didn't understand some elements or was unsure I was able to call and discuss this in person. All in all, an excellent, friendly and professional service.
