The service I received from Ryan and Gavin was outstanding, they looked after me during my survey of the property
I’ve now bought. As a first time buyer, their guidance was exceptionally important to me. Even during the busy Christmas period they stayed in touch with me which was great. I have used Verulam Surveyors 3 times now (both Gavin and Ryan) and cannot rate them highly enough. They are responsive and the reports they provide are of an exceptionally high and detailed standard when compared to other firms I have used.

My experience with Verulam Chartered Surveyors has been incredibly frustrating. They were lightning-fast at replying to my initial email for a quote, but as soon as the business was secured, they completely ghosted me.

Broken Promises: I was told by their admin team that the surveyor would call me before the inspection to discuss any specific concerns. I never received a call.

Ignored Emails: Because I didn't get the promised call, I sent an email with my questions. No response.

No After-sales Support: After receiving the report, I had a few follow-up questions for the surveyor. My email has also been ignored.

It is baffling how a professional firm can ignore a client this many times. It wasn't a one-off mistake; it is a consistent lack of basic courtesy. I will never use them again and strongly advise everyone to stay away.

We had Gavin at Verulam surveyors do a home buyers survey for us and he was amazing. Having only bought a new build before we had never been through this process, so had very little knowledge, Gavin was happy to chat through the process, and was even happy to chat through the report with me for over an hour and check the searches I had received back from my solicitor to ensure they aligned to any questions in our survey. We really felt this service was above and beyond and verulam chartered surveyors were very fairly priced for this survey amongst other competitors. 100% recommend!

I could not agree more - as a first time, and solo buyer, the process can be daunting, and my experience with Verulam was overwhelmingly positive. Communications were prompt, the Level 2 report was very detailed, clear and thorough and my overall experience was positive and stress-free. Could not recommend more highly.

As inexperienced first time home buyers, the process as I’m sure you can imagine has been daunting at times, presenting those extra unforeseen difficulties.

However, we are so grateful we chose Ryan to carry out our Level 3 Building Survey. We called around and searched online for Surveyor quotes and straight away knew after speaking on the phone to Ryan we would chose him to carry out the Survey. He was extremely helpful, friendly and professional from the get go. And to our surprise, from the initial call of us first enquiring to us then receiving the extremely detailed RICS Building Survey Report (including estimated repair costs), it all happened in under a week!

My partner and I would certainly recommend, and absolutely use again (if we ever chose to put ourselves through that stressful process of moving again, of course).
