Very Happy

Awesome experience!! Always very fast to get approval from our pets Vet and always arrives on time! Love that they also offer coupons!!
Such a nice surprise for our dog(cookie) when medicine arrives!

Wonderful in every way

Every experience working with the customer support staff with this company has been very positive. Ordering is easy, products arrive promptly, and prices are very reasonable. I appreciate the level of customer care given. Even though this is a bigger, in-line company, I always feel like the service is the same that you would get from the vet who sees your pet all the time. Thank you for helping people and pets!

Phenomenal!!

Phenomenal!!!
My pup is on five different medications, but her neurologist is an hour from us, so I’ve shopped pharmacies both locally and online to get her compounded medications. VetRXDirect not only has her medications (which so many don’t) but they were so through when dealing with our doctor’s mistakes!!!! They not only followed up with me, they sent a cookie to my pup that was wrapped for her protection as well!!!!!! They have a customer for life in me!!!!!

I have been very satisfied with the prompt responses from the gals at VetRxDirect customer service. They have kept me updated on their supply of needles that I requested and their ability to ship me almost the full order I had requested. I will continue to use this vet pharmacy as it is apparent that customer service is important to them.

VetRxDirect is the best!

I have used two other online Vet pharmacies and VetRxDirect is by far more customer service oriented. They are on top of everything, they help with obtaining a prescription and continue to work on getting it when it doesn't happen right away. They always send a homemade type dog cookie that my two dogs absolutely love! They are quick and efficient!

Would not recommend

I originally contacted this company in March of 2017 about their RX Vitamin supplements. I asked them in writing if they purchase these supplements directly from RX Vitamins, and they gave me an answer that made it sound like they do, but looking closer as their wording, I was suspicious if they actually do buy from them directly. So I asked again. The next response was that they are not allowed per company policy to state what vendors they use. But in the meantime, I had contacted RX Vitamins directly.

They stated they do not sell to online pharmacies and do not know how this company is obtaining their supplements. They also stated that they do not back any of their supplements that are not sold directly through a veterinarian's office. So, I reported VetRXDirect to the Iowa board of pharmacy, the BBB, and the Iowa attorney general's office.

The company responded back and was adamant that there is nothing wrong with these supplements, stating they are not expired, counterfeit, or tainted. So, about a month ago, I decided to give the company a try, because I was wanting to save some money. Big mistake. I ordered the RX Vitamins Renal support and the RX Vitamins Phos-bind. My dog has taken these supplements before. I gave her the supplements purchased from VetRxDirect twice. Both times she vomitted. The vomitting immediately ceased upon ceasing to give her the supplements. So, I filed more reports, including one with the FDA.

To date, the company has not refunded my money even though I have requested it in writing. I am not sending the products back because a) they cannot resell them due to opening them; b) I am holding on to them in case the FDA needs to inspect them.

I would also suggest reviewing their Yelp reviews. I've never seen so many one star ratings in my life.

I'm only going 4 stars right now but…

I'm only going 4 stars right now but hoping for more when I get my medicine for my Dog. Kylie could not have been more helpful ,she answered all my questions and helped me step by step with my order. Because of her helpfulness I even ordered more! This will be the best thing that has happened since my 8yr old dog has become ill.

I won't be ordering from VetRxDirect again

I placed an order and 4 days after receiving the prescription it has yet to be shipped. Trying to contact them but they don't call back after i left a voicemail and now trying to wait on hold so I can get my pets meds shipped express so I'll have them in time. It will take a lot for me to order from this company again.

I'm so sorry that you didn't get your order as quickly as you wanted or needed. Unfortunately, this was an order for prescription medications, and it can take time for us to get prescriptions and verify what we need.

We contacted your clinic to request a prescription about a half hour after your order was placed on that Friday. We like to give clinics at least 24 hours to respond before we try to contact them again as veterinarians are typically very busy. Clinics are not typically open on Saturday afternoons and on Sunday, and our pharmacy is also not open at those times, so your order did not progress until the following Monday.

We received two of the three prescriptions needed for your order on the following Monday, and followed up with your clinic both by fax and by phone. We received the final prescription back the next day, and finalized your order. At that point, all three medications were made by our compounding pharmacist, which can take one to two days.

We are available by chat, email, or phone to help customers upgrade or downgrade shipping. I am sorry that we were having phone issues and your call got dropped when you were trying to upgrade shipping. We did try to call you back, and I know that resulted in some phone tag. I'm glad that we were able to communicate over our online chat feature and get your shipping changed to what you needed and get your order out to you.

WARNING - Do not order from this company!

I can't say their conduct was rude, at least not yet. (Read on - that changed!) However, I paid for overnight (required by them) delivery for Saturday (which I chose), only to rearrange my day around that delivery expected by noon. It never showed up. Nor did I receive any notification from FedEx, whom this company loves to blame. Now I'm told FedEx could not fulfill their guaranteed delivery due to a storm on the east coast. In my opinion, it is the responsibility of VetRxDirect to check both the forecast and the route FedEx will be taking before shipping. They're quick to take your money. THEY DO NOT ISSUE REFUNDS. I made the mistake of trusting them. My order was for insulin, which requires refrigeration, and it will arrive damaged. I'm refusing the package. I will never return to this company, which lacks integrity and uses a delivery company that cannot deliver in a timely manner as promised. I will never order from them again. I highly recommend finding your local Walmart where you can buy a 5 pack of Levemir pens for less money, no overnight shipping cost, and as long as the expiration date is at least a year or so away (it is but do check), you've got your furry baby set. It must be refrigerated or it's ruined. I'm completely disgusted with VetRxDirect and positively livid with their no refund policy when it's their fault the insulin will arrive damaged.
I'm adding to my review as follows:
Bad business! I had to file a dispute with my credit card company to get a refund from this company. I await the results of that dispute and the forthcoming full investigation. You have to really put up a fight to get your money back. They claim they cannot give refunds in order to protect other pets because they must destroy the product upon rejection; they can still provide customers refunds AND destroy the product. Other pets cannot be harmed from damaged products that are destroyed, and they are completely lacking integrity. In other words, it's a load of lies. They failed to deliver my cat's insulin because they failed to check the forecast, and now I have refused the package - it's ruined. It was ruined due to lack of refrigeration that is the fault of VetRxDirect. They like to blame FedEx, yet every time FedEx screws it up, and they still use FedEx when there are other choices. They were extremely rude when I told them I was disputing the charge. I refused their replacement because I don't trust them or their products. Just another cheap online vet pharmacy. No wonder most vets won't work with them. Their behavior is unacceptable, unreasonable and rude!
My advice is to support local business. I got a 5 pack of insulin from my local Walmart that's good for two years and didn't have to pay for overnight shipping. It was also cheaper, and I know I have reliable product for my precious cat. Be warned about VetRxDirect!!

You are correct that we were not able to get the Levemir out to you when you needed it. Unfortunately, we were not aware that the storm would not allow FedEx to deliver the insulin to you on Saturday. They often deliver even in times of bad weather. We also could not respond to you when you first noticed the problem as we close at Noon Central time on Saturday and we are closed on Sundays. We would have sent you a replacement Levemir pen that following Monday, but I know that a Tuesday delivery was too late for the insulin. I am so very sorry that we could not meet your needs. We additionally failed you by not being able to give a refund. I'm sorry that we have strict return policies on prescription items. I am very glad that you were able to get what you needed locally when you needed it, and my sincere regrets again that we could not help you.

I am so sorry that our return policies need to be so strict with prescription medications. You are correct that the expiration dates of our stock of Percorten-V are usually only about six months out. I understand that you will not be ordering from us again, but we do ask that customers contact us about expiration dating on our current stock of drugs if they have a concern. Customers can email us at info@vetrxdirect.com. I also urge you to please discuss with your veterinarian how long you should be using one vial of the Percorten-V for the health of your pets. The drug packaging indicates that it can be stored at room temperature until the stated expiration date, but that once the vial is broached, it should be used within four months. I'm sorry again that we were not able to satisfy you. I hope that you have found better product elsewhere.

I have ordered medications and supplements from many places. VetRxDirect is by far the best! Quality, good prices and super fast shipping! They even toss in a little treat for my dog with every shipment.

I placed an order of antibiotics and …

I placed an order of antibiotics and they did not processed the order almost a week. I had to cancel and reorder with another seller. They emailed me tell me there is delay because my vet office did not provide direction. I contacted them to call my vets office to sort it out. The rep told me she will call, but next day the status was the same. When I called my vets office, they were confused which direction was missing and nobody called them. When I contacted them again, they were not acting responsible with excuses saying that the have followed the standard practice and fax the request and that they cannot call since they have many orders. Also, they were saying that I have used standard shipping I would not have gotten the order this week. (Which I disagree since I have received orders on the same week I placed the order.) I was very disappointed with their service and I have, not even once, can get anyone on the phone to resolve my issues.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! The worst customer service ever! I ordered medication and they were supposed to contact my vet for the prescription, but because my vet has several locations under the same name they chose to contact an office other than the one I go to. The order was delayed. OK, understandable. The PROBLEM was they never bothered to call or notify me until two days later via email. I responded to the email with the correct fax, yada yada yada and three more days go by with still more problems and no medication shipped out. My vet called them and cleared up the confusion and gave them the correct information, but they too got nowhere! Apparently since my bill to and ship to has different names/address' they couldn't figure out the correct name to request the prescription under. OK, again, ridiculous, but ... I guess it wouldn't have been so bad except that I spoke to a manager who actually asked me about the two different names and I explained the bill to and ship to snafu and yet ... two days later - no medication sent out AND though assured it would be sent ASAP the next business day (by the manager, no less) when they sent the request to my vet they sent it under the wrong name, AGAIN! Moreover, good customer service should have dictated a phone call from them when there was another problem, but mum's the word from VetRX. One problem after another and ridiculously inept customer service. Mind you, by the way, I had been ordering from this company for several years and through two dogs. The bill to/ship to problem was NEVER a problem for any of the 20+ orders in the past, but suddenly I'm receiving a stern talking to from the manager. Really?

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! There are competitors with comparable pricing. Don't waste your time or chance your pet's well being with this company. In the end, I rather spend $10 more than put up with the aggravation I've gone through for the past week. Oh, and a quote from my vet: "Oh, that company. We have nothing but problems with them so stay on top of your order."

I am so sorry for our confusion and the delay in your getting your medications. We follow up by email most often as we are an internet-based company, so I'm sorry that we did not call. Unfortunately, it is true that we do occasionally have to rely on customers following up on their orders when there is a problem getting a prescription. For example, it's not always clear if a faxed prescription or request for a prescription was not successfully transmitted. We also do try to check addresses to somewhat alleviate fraudulent orders, even when orders were placed in the past. I know that none of this makes up for the problems that you had. I'm sorry for all the hassle and inconvenience that this order caused you.
