Pet Care Advice
Customer Hub
Pet emergencies can happen at any time – including when your regular vet is closed.
That’s why our nationwide network of out-of-hours pet emergency clinics are open through the night, at weekends and on bank holidays, so we’re ready and waiting to provide expert pet emergency care when your regular vet is having some time off.
Our pet emergency clinics are the pet equivalent of A&E and our purpose is to give you and your pet the care and support you deserve, at the time you need it most, whether it’s four in the morning or in the middle of Sunday lunch.
Vets Now provides this trusted service to more than 1000 veterinary practices across the UK — from over 60 dedicated out-of-hours clinics and two 24/7 pet emergency hospitals. In total, we treat around 200,000 small animals every year — our highly-skilled team works hard throughout the night, weekends and Bank Holidays. So whether you’re in Aberdeen, Belfast or Portsmouth we’re there for you and your pet when you need us most.
We’ve also pioneered other ways to help pets, pet owners and the veterinary profession, such as our comprehensive referrals service and providing our staff with industry-leading training and development opportunities. We also support the pet blood transfusion charity, Pet Blood Bank UK. Meanwhile, our two hospitals — in Glasgow and Manchester — are home to some of the UK’s leading specialists in the field of emergency and critical care and provide care 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Sorted my Granddaughters dog out with a dislocated shoulder at 10pm. Cost a fair bit but, at least they were there for us. Thank you

Very impressed with Vets now, Liverpool. Dealt with quickly and pkeasantly on the phone, then on arrival short wait for the consultation. The vet was extremely thorough, with examination and blood tests. We were reassured that nothing serious was affecting our gorgeous boy Ollie.
Advice and reassuration was greatly appreciated. Thank you all for your attention.
Would definitely recommend Vets now, without any hesitation whatsoever. Superb.

They offered me help without fuss and the young lady who helped me was just superb and picked up on a potentially very serious problem that would probably have gone unnoticed.
This young vet was just superb and extremely understanding so I could not rate her highly enough.

Vets Now Liverpool were so efficient and supportive with my emergency admission of my cat, Ruby. My partner phoned to explain our urgent concerns on a Sunday evening and they told us to come straight there. Once we arrived they whizzed her straight in to give her oxygen, examined her immediately and brought me in to discuss her situation within 5 minutes. Which was very much appreciated given my state of upset and panic! They explained the situation very clearly and looked after her overnight. I called in the morning to check and was given a friendly update which put my mind at ease before coming to pick her up. For her discharge I was given a comprehensive description of her overnight stay, the treatments and their recommendations. The Vet was lovely and definitely had Ruby’s best interests at heart. I am so grateful for all their help.

I attended the centre at approx 23.00 hours on 11.6.23 and was actually seen at about 2.30 the vet on duty was excellent but this poor girl seemed to be on her own.
My pet was admitted overnight i was asked to come back at 08.45 I was shocked to see the same vet on duty and she was still there when my dog was discharged to my own vet at 10.30 discharging other pets this is not what I expect for a fee paying service I think you should do better for customers and certainly your staff

My dog shallowed some poisonous leaves and was vomiting. So the only local 24 hour vet that was available was vets now. Be warned the consultation fee was £250 pounds (spoke with the vet for 10 minutes works out at £25 per minute). To make him sick and then administer an anti sickness drug was a further £300. I was in and out within 2 hours. The dog was under their care for an hour. Now I get it’s out of hour’s, running costs etc. But the bill was £560. How can they justify the charge? I had no problems with the vet but have a massive problem with the company.

Great level of customer care, information and a professional service.

The vet was good.
However, the premises were not clean, with blood on the floor of both reception and in the treatment room.
Furthermore you have failed to send the xrays to my preferred vet, which caused me stress when trying to deal with a sick pet.
