Find An Emergency Vet
Pet Care Advice
Customer Hub
Pet emergencies can happen at any time – including when your regular vet is closed.
That’s why our nationwide network of out-of-hours pet emergency clinics are open through the night, at weekends and on bank holidays, so we’re ready and waiting to provide expert pet emergency care when your regular vet is having some time off.
Our pet emergency clinics are the pet equivalent of A&E and our purpose is to give you and your pet the care and support you deserve, at the time you need it most, whether it’s four in the morning or in the middle of Sunday lunch.
Vets Now provides this trusted service to more than 1000 veterinary practices across the UK — from over 60 dedicated out-of-hours clinics and two 24/7 pet emergency hospitals. In total, we treat around 200,000 small animals every year — our highly-skilled team works hard throughout the night, weekends and Bank Holidays. So whether you’re in Aberdeen, Belfast or Portsmouth we’re there for you and your pet when you need us most.
We’ve also pioneered other ways to help pets, pet owners and the veterinary profession, such as our comprehensive referrals service and providing our staff with industry-leading training and development opportunities. We also support the pet blood transfusion charity, Pet Blood Bank UK. Meanwhile, our two hospitals — in Glasgow and Manchester — are home to some of the UK’s leading specialists in the field of emergency and critical care and provide care 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

I am so grateful to this service for being open. My dog went in full of pain , the vet gave her a jab and some tablets and she's ok now.

I recently took my dog to vets now Middlesbrough for an emergency c-section in the middle of the night. They were very helpful & informative. They spared no time helping my girl in whelp when i called them as she started to struggle after having 1 puppy.
I did ask how much it would be & they gave me a guide of 2 figures of what it could come to. I had the majority of the amount they said about & they continued to treat my dog with the best care.
A few hours later they called me to say everything had gone well & I could collect my girl with her litter too. We didn't expect any other puppies to survive other than the 1 she'd had so that was lovely news. My girl was spayed at the same time as the section which didn't cost no extra. The total amount was extremely reasonable for out of hours service & saving my girls life plus her puppies too.
She was given time to come around from the GA & sent home with antibiotics, pain killers & advice of how to ensure she continues to do well until a vet checked her over in a few days.
I was so worried for my girl when I took her in as situations like she was in could have gone alot worse. We lost the puppy that was stuck but our girl was saved & cared for perfectly.
Thankyou, Middlesbrough Vets Now Emeregncy team!

It was easy to contact them and get an emergency appointment. However I was blown away at the price estimate for my cats injury. I didn’t want to pay this exuberant amount, so he was given pain killers etc and made comfortable and I took him home. I returned the next morning for him to have stitches and undergo an operation, which was cheaper as done through my normal vet.

Was a hand over for an overnight stay after an op, got there 9.30 at night, upset about my poorly pet, all they were interested in was how much insurance I had, had to find my policy to prove I'd not missed any payments, no exclusions on it, wanted I'd that I didn't have on me, wanted a huge deposit there and then, after 11pm when I got away from there with a 30 mile drive home to return at 8am to collect my pet at a cost of £800 and forms to sign saying if my insurance won't pay up I'd get the bill, seem more interested in the money than the actual pets health, felt degraded when I left as well as upsets

Quick response to a potential life threatening situation with a young guinea pig. The Vet was compassionate and explained fully what caused our pet to become unwell, and gave clear advice on how to avoid this in the future. Very happy with the service.

We had to take our little cavapoo to the ooh vets on Saturday night....she was quite poorly. The vet nurse and vet were great...bloods taken, temp, tummy checked. They considered keeping her in, but let us take her home with medication and told to bring her back if she got worse, Sunday she just slept....thankfully today (monday)she is getting better. Rather expensive trip to the vets, but it was needed.
