Find An Emergency Vet
Pet Care Advice
Customer Hub
Pet emergencies can happen at any time – including when your regular vet is closed.
That’s why our nationwide network of out-of-hours pet emergency clinics are open through the night, at weekends and on bank holidays, so we’re ready and waiting to provide expert pet emergency care when your regular vet is having some time off.
Our pet emergency clinics are the pet equivalent of A&E and our purpose is to give you and your pet the care and support you deserve, at the time you need it most, whether it’s four in the morning or in the middle of Sunday lunch.
Vets Now provides this trusted service to more than 1000 veterinary practices across the UK — from over 60 dedicated out-of-hours clinics and two 24/7 pet emergency hospitals. In total, we treat around 200,000 small animals every year — our highly-skilled team works hard throughout the night, weekends and Bank Holidays. So whether you’re in Aberdeen, Belfast or Portsmouth we’re there for you and your pet when you need us most.
We’ve also pioneered other ways to help pets, pet owners and the veterinary profession, such as our comprehensive referrals service and providing our staff with industry-leading training and development opportunities. We also support the pet blood transfusion charity, Pet Blood Bank UK. Meanwhile, our two hospitals — in Glasgow and Manchester — are home to some of the UK’s leading specialists in the field of emergency and critical care and provide care 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

I needed an emergency vet for my puppy who had broken his leg.
They were ready and waiting for us, treated Barney immediately and comforted and reassured me.
I was talked through every step of his treatment then and ongoing.

I was impressed by the way we were greeted. I had an injured dog, it was 11.30 at night and as soon as we entered the practice, my dog was taken from me and whisked away for treatment. Very professional all round.

I was able to take my dog for emergency care local to my home. Waiting to be seen by the vet was very long (2 hrs). Consultation fee and drugs were extortionate. Obviously I’m not happy with the costs. Vet ok but wanted to give my dog anaesthetic to shave his fur after he was attacked. I felt this was unnecessary and refused within the best interest of my dog.

Whilst the service provided was great for my poorly labrador, a consultation fee of £302 plus nearly £200 for 2 injections and some tablets, then an optional pet blood and contribution (which ended up not being optional as I was not given the opportunity to look at the invoice before being asked for payment), and a £35 admin fee, is absolutely outrageous!! Turns out my poorly pooch had a gut infection, but thank god for pet insurance! It's no wonder so many poor animals get surrendered to rescues with vet bills like this!

So we went in the receptionist lovely person really helpful, and the vet was lovely couldn't fault their professionalism and how caring they were. The reason I have given this company a score if 2 stars is the pricing so it cost us £300 for the consultation and £50 for the injection and £50 for the metacalm. The vet said if he didn't get on with the metacalm she would issue paracetamol. The next day he was fine so I have a £50 bottle of meds not being used, the vet wasn't to sure what was up with him which is fair enough but the company plays on the pet owners worries. This is most annoying because our usual vet is 2 minutes down the road yet yhis place is 45 minutes away. This is the second time we have had to use yhis service can't fault yhe staff but you do feel positively ripped off.

£302 just to be seen by the vet.
This is criminal.Luckily I could afford it unfortunately many owners can’t and animals suffer for it.

The vet I dealt with was really nice, she was marvellous with my dog and really nice with me too. She examined Snoop throughly and told me though everything she was doing and why, she also keep talking to Snoop and put him at ease so all in all it was a relay good experience. Sadly I can’t remember her name but she was a young lady with fair hair and was really.
The only downside to my visit was the price charged, it was £194.92, it was a consultation and a painkiller injection, I understand you are an emergency service and I couldn’t see my own vet but that price was really extortionate as it was early afternoon and not out of hours and as I was unable to see my own vet had no choice but to come to you.

Excellent Service at a worrying time. Most personal and conversational vet I’ve ever dealt with, and all of the other staff were lovely too.
Clever diagnosis and vet clear about the costs and processes.

Field Vets were fantastic when my kitten visited to be neutered. They gave us lots of information and were upfront about the costs involved. They kept us informed after his operation and even called the next day to check how he was. First class vets!

Heartless !!! Took my tiny chihuahua there as her eye was hanging out and because I couldn't afford in full then and there they said the could put her to sleep I was very disgusted and they weren't happy I recorded everything,so they told me to put eye drops on it..and i had come home with her in pain still with her eye hanging out What a joke 😑 well a beautiful vet today did the operation and treated her were very caring and compassionate .This vets now are all about MONEY 💰 not for the care of pets.
