Find An Emergency Vet
Pet Care Advice
Customer Hub
Pet emergencies can happen at any time – including when your regular vet is closed.
That’s why our nationwide network of out-of-hours pet emergency clinics are open through the night, at weekends and on bank holidays, so we’re ready and waiting to provide expert pet emergency care when your regular vet is having some time off.
Our pet emergency clinics are the pet equivalent of A&E and our purpose is to give you and your pet the care and support you deserve, at the time you need it most, whether it’s four in the morning or in the middle of Sunday lunch.
Vets Now provides this trusted service to more than 1000 veterinary practices across the UK — from over 60 dedicated out-of-hours clinics and two 24/7 pet emergency hospitals. In total, we treat around 200,000 small animals every year — our highly-skilled team works hard throughout the night, weekends and Bank Holidays. So whether you’re in Aberdeen, Belfast or Portsmouth we’re there for you and your pet when you need us most.
We’ve also pioneered other ways to help pets, pet owners and the veterinary profession, such as our comprehensive referrals service and providing our staff with industry-leading training and development opportunities. We also support the pet blood transfusion charity, Pet Blood Bank UK. Meanwhile, our two hospitals — in Glasgow and Manchester — are home to some of the UK’s leading specialists in the field of emergency and critical care and provide care 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Friday 10th April, Our cat Missy wasn’t well, not eating and shivering, we took her to VetsNow at Clayton le Dale nr Preston. The staff are great and the head vet she is brilliant and was great with Missy. When she diagnosed the problem she was put on a drip and stayed there over night. We collected her on Saturday morning and Missy was much more like her self.
The service was great though at a cost Missy have been fine since she’s been home. Thank to the head vet and VetsNow, thanks Alan.

Amazing! Was able to head straight to their emergency Vets, great knowledge and understanding. Explained everything super clearly and was fully aware of costs at each stage and advice how to claim this back through my pets insurance. Thanks for all your help!!

Took our dog Barney who was very poorly here at 10pm . The staff were very friendly..the vet was brilliant with him . He stayed with them overnight . Can't thank them enough for their kindness and reassuring words as we were so worried about our dog. He is now on the road to recovery .

The vet was lovely put us at ease the other thing that made me more stressed than anything was the cost. £330 so see the vet I think is a lot especially when I pay into a vet plan but apart from that there is no choice really.
Great prompt care and attention

Great experience. Really reassuring and helpful when we were there in the middle of the night with a sick dog.

The prices for emergency vet care is astronomical, they tried to charge me £50 for paracetamol and £60 for something I got off amazon for £11, not to mention the £313 appointment fee! They charged £35 to claim off my insurance and then charged me for something after we had left! I wont be returning! I felt it was more about the money than the care for my dog!

This vets is part of a large group of companies and its misleading in the way they operate. We had to have 1 of our dogs put to sleep and they organised the cremation, found out it is their own business. They are more vested in profit and money than the animals, money comes first which is why they have an £84million shareholder fund. They lead you to believe that other companies are independent - money over pet!!!
