Find An Emergency Vet
Pet Care Advice
Customer Hub
Pet emergencies can happen at any time – including when your regular vet is closed.
That’s why our nationwide network of out-of-hours pet emergency clinics are open through the night, at weekends and on bank holidays, so we’re ready and waiting to provide expert pet emergency care when your regular vet is having some time off.
Our pet emergency clinics are the pet equivalent of A&E and our purpose is to give you and your pet the care and support you deserve, at the time you need it most, whether it’s four in the morning or in the middle of Sunday lunch.
Vets Now provides this trusted service to more than 1000 veterinary practices across the UK — from over 60 dedicated out-of-hours clinics and two 24/7 pet emergency hospitals. In total, we treat around 200,000 small animals every year — our highly-skilled team works hard throughout the night, weekends and Bank Holidays. So whether you’re in Aberdeen, Belfast or Portsmouth we’re there for you and your pet when you need us most.
We’ve also pioneered other ways to help pets, pet owners and the veterinary profession, such as our comprehensive referrals service and providing our staff with industry-leading training and development opportunities. We also support the pet blood transfusion charity, Pet Blood Bank UK. Meanwhile, our two hospitals — in Glasgow and Manchester — are home to some of the UK’s leading specialists in the field of emergency and critical care and provide care 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Amazing service from calling to visiting the practice. Everything was explained really well. My dog was treated and note sent to my vet the next morning. Very organised and it great knowing there is a service available at any time. Vet we saw was lovely

Approach, attitude and treatment of pet all excellent, however client needed to prompt discharge after an over-generous stay in the treatment room.

Excellent, the knowledge of the vet was fantastic. We were cared for from the minute we arrived.

Excellent service from initial phone call to treatment. Text message with details of clinic location and availability of a vet at 11pm on Sunday of bank holiday weekend. Polly had cystitis and was in a lot of discomfort so it was a relief to be able to get her treatment promptly.

Had to wait nearly 3 hours to be seen but understand emergencies take priority but the lady we saw was very helpful and went out of her way to give a lot of advice 😊

The only reason you didn't get a 5 star rating was the waiting time we experienced. However the surgery was extremely busy at the time of our visit which was the reason for the delay in being seen. Once we were seen the service was excellent. Lovely nurse and vet who explained treatment thoroughly, very reassuring. The Receptionist was delightful and managed the crowded waiting room with patience.

Very professional service and I felt very confident about the quality of care and the cost incurred. I would recommend.

My dog needed to see a vet that night. This was quite worrying. The receptionist was friendly and the young lady vet was very positive and reassuring. Butch was in good hands I felt.

If it hadn't of been for how quickly the vets acted on my boy this weekend he probably wouldn't be here today, they done everything they could and nothing seemed to much for them. Will forever be grateful to have my dog still here with me today because of beechwood house.
Highly recommend.

It was reassuring to be able to take my cat to a vet out of hours. It was expensive but I understand why and I am taking out pet insurance for the future.
