I took my cat in at 8pm on Easter Thursday. He received excellent treatment. I cannot fault the staff. The billing though was ridiculous. I understand the £313.50 fee as it was out of hours but I was... See more

Find An Emergency Vet
Pet Care Advice
Customer Hub
Pet emergencies can happen at any time – including when your regular vet is closed.
That’s why our nationwide network of out-of-hours pet emergency clinics are open through the night, at weekends and on bank holidays, so we’re ready and waiting to provide expert pet emergency care when your regular vet is having some time off.
Our pet emergency clinics are the pet equivalent of A&E and our purpose is to give you and your pet the care and support you deserve, at the time you need it most, whether it’s four in the morning or in the middle of Sunday lunch.
Vets Now provides this trusted service to more than 1000 veterinary practices across the UK — from over 60 dedicated out-of-hours clinics and two 24/7 pet emergency hospitals. In total, we treat around 200,000 small animals every year — our highly-skilled team works hard throughout the night, weekends and Bank Holidays. So whether you’re in Aberdeen, Belfast or Portsmouth we’re there for you and your pet when you need us most.
We’ve also pioneered other ways to help pets, pet owners and the veterinary profession, such as our comprehensive referrals service and providing our staff with industry-leading training and development opportunities. We also support the pet blood transfusion charity, Pet Blood Bank UK. Meanwhile, our two hospitals — in Glasgow and Manchester — are home to some of the UK’s leading specialists in the field of emergency and critical care and provide care 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

I had to book an emergency appointment for my dog after she hurt her paw while playing in the garden.
The stuff was lovely and very helpful but I was shocked by the extortionate charge of £313 for the visit and £65 for the tiny bandage that was put around my dog’s foot. She’s a Jack Russell so the bandage was not that big!

We had a scary situation earlier this week, when our little dog, Albie, ate a large amount of dark chocolate. I could literally feel his heart racing when I picked him up! Vets Now took him in and treated him straight away. It wasn’t cheap by any means, but the service was very good and I felt as though all of the staff, from the receptionist through to the vet, really cared about him. We went back a couple of days later to say thank you and I expected Albie to remember the trauma and hold back from going in; but he ran in happily and said hello to everyone - so I took that as a sign that they made him feel safe.

We waited more than 2 hours to be seen with a very poorly cat. I requested a blood test but the vet wasn't keen to do one, so suggested I call the Croydon PDSA when they were open. She examined our cat and gave her an anti sickness injection. The staff on reception were very good at keeping us informed but it was a long wait as they only had one Vet and one nurse on duty. I was glad that we were eventually seen. Thank you.

Very kind and caring staff, they took excellent care of my cat when he was brought in for urgent treatment.
I would definitely recommend their services.

The staff were ok and helpful but the price point was expensive for a cat blood test and staying over costs.

Took care of my dog really well when she was really sick helped me understand the next steps and explained everything really clearly. Would recommend for anyone who’s pet is not feeling well because I was really happy with the whole process.

Was sent here for an emergency
My cat needed urgent care early hours.
The Vets were able to triage and keep my Cat stable until I was able to transport him to a hospital.
The Vet was clean tidy and relaxing having a separate space for Cats. The after care was very professional.
Have pet insurance and or other means to pay as cost add up. Fortunately for me, money matters were resolved by the time the Cat was admitted via PDSA.
What started off as a stressful experience ended well. My Cat is now home.

Only 4 as how expensive it was initially but great to be able to go in the middle of the night, my dog’s bloods were taken and results back within 15 minutes. Inpatient offered but took her home and she’s back to normal now. The Vet Surgeon Paige was excellent and the Nurse who took my call also very efficient and emails offering help with insurance claim helpful.

We had various visits here one including an emergency op and wow what a service. I knew my pooch was loved cared for while he was there. He visited so much the last 3 weeks he came to know the various staff members and was happy to see them which is unusual for our Frank. Reception were amazing vet nurse and vets. Honestly incredible staff friendly and genuinely care for your pet. Which you would expect but I can assure you that is not the case with all vet practices. I can not express my gratitude these guys saved our beloved Frank and for that we will be eternally grateful.
Highly recomened and I wouldn't want to go anywhere else now.
Thanks guys you rock

Very welcoming and caring for our dog, Pip on Sunday 7 Jan. They were thorough and decided her wound could be assessed by a nurse who decided ( having quickly checked with the vet) that it could wait for our normal vet the next day, with a temporary dressing applied in the interim. That saved us several hundred pounds. Would have given 5 stars but for their very expensive pricing. Had a vet done the exam it would have been nearly £300 just for an assessment, with treatment on top! Couldn't fault the staff (we saw the receptionist, nurse and briefly the vet), who were excellent in every respect.
