Very caring and compassionate staff. I'd have happily given 5 stars, however the fees are extortionate. Having to go there in an emergency is terrifying enough and then you're hit by a massive bill.

Pet Care Advice
Customer Hub
Pet emergencies can happen at any time – including when your regular vet is closed.
That’s why our nationwide network of out-of-hours pet emergency clinics are open through the night, at weekends and on bank holidays, so we’re ready and waiting to provide expert pet emergency care when your regular vet is having some time off.
Our pet emergency clinics are the pet equivalent of A&E and our purpose is to give you and your pet the care and support you deserve, at the time you need it most, whether it’s four in the morning or in the middle of Sunday lunch.
Vets Now provides this trusted service to more than 1000 veterinary practices across the UK — from over 60 dedicated out-of-hours clinics and two 24/7 pet emergency hospitals. In total, we treat around 200,000 small animals every year — our highly-skilled team works hard throughout the night, weekends and Bank Holidays. So whether you’re in Aberdeen, Belfast or Portsmouth we’re there for you and your pet when you need us most.
We’ve also pioneered other ways to help pets, pet owners and the veterinary profession, such as our comprehensive referrals service and providing our staff with industry-leading training and development opportunities. We also support the pet blood transfusion charity, Pet Blood Bank UK. Meanwhile, our two hospitals — in Glasgow and Manchester — are home to some of the UK’s leading specialists in the field of emergency and critical care and provide care 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Excellent Care for my beloved pet pooch. She received the most thorough examination and gentle care. Thankfully she is still with us and although it is expensive to use the Out of Hours service, I could not fault them. I cannot recall the name of the vet that saw her, he was a very pleasant young man who displayed lots of sympathy and an honest opinion and diagnosis of her condition. Very reassuring. They also followed up promptly with my registered vets practice as they called me at 8.00am the following morning for a debrief of the situation and to discuss my dogs onward care..

I phoned Vets Now in Salisbury to make an appointment on 28 June 2026 to have my dog put down and was informed I did not need an appointment time. My collie had Lymphoma and had received chemo for the last 14 months. We arrived in Endless Street Salisbury mid afternoon and were put into a room and after some time a vet arrived and did not examine my dog to my surprise and he was not weighed The vet left and came back with a consent form and requested payment which I did ( very pricey) The vet then gave my collie a sedative which made him start up with bulging eyes and it was was incredibly upsetting seeing him like this and I was not warned of any side effects. The vet said it would take 15 minutes to take effect and left. Eventually the vet gave him a lethal dose and I asked her to leave so I could say a final goodbye to my dog after which I left through a door into the carpark. All this has left me with awful memories of my precious dogs's last moments.
So different from my last visit to you 9 years ago when you put my last dog to sleep. She was treated in a totally professional way throughout and had a peaceful end which was what I had hoped for this time. The bill was settled when it was all over. So now I am left with not only losing a very precious dog but also with traumatic memories of his last moments.

The staff were professional, capable, caring and gave my puppy good treatment. They made me feel confident that my puppy was in good hands. Even though they were very busy they were patient, kind and examined her thoroughly.

Absolute oasis of help and calm after a traumatic attack on my pets.
Friendly, thoroughly professional and very up front with the costs - I knew cost would be high but it was worth it.
Fantastic vet (Charlotte) who helped our dogs tremendously and gave us excellent information.
Kind receptionist and nurses too. If your pet has an out of hours emergency this is definitely the place to go, and they won’t hide the costs.

I was seen quickly at 10pm at night. The vet was very friendly and cared that my cat wasn't happy at the vet and tried to calm her down so that he could examine her. We had a good conversation about the issue and he gave an injection and medicine which has resolved it.

Friendly and my dog was seen in good time, no hassle

The call handler was very sympathetic and caring. She explained everything and put me at ease.
When we arrived at the vets surgery they were expecting us and saw us promptly.
The whole experience felt almost the same as going to our regular vets.
The vet explained our options and didn't try to influence us either way.
We were reassured that we could call if we had any questions after we had got home if there was a change in the dog.

The phone consultation is lengthy for people who need emergency treatment and are probably in a panic. It’s a long way to go with a sick animal. Gone are the days when a locum came to you.
The staff at the clinic were professional but the emphasis was always on the cost. Vet wouldn’t even look at him without constant assurance of payment. Happily we can afford £300 for a beloved cat. Most people can’t. Most people can’t afford insurance. Vet fees are beyond most people’s reach. Poor animals. People try to do their best within their means.

From start to finish we were treated with respect and care. I know emergency vet’s are expensive and I had no insurance but no complaints either. I could not have been dealt with any better under such difficult conditions. All the staff were so genuinely compassionate, they made a difficult time endurable. I have been to many vets and understand sometimes you can feel they are money led, this was not my experience here, I felt very heard and considered. Thank you.

Rip off merchants
Charges for insurance admin when we paid in full.
Will be contacting trading standards.
Thery did nothing to help our dog other than give us ear drops and paying £89 for ear drops and £30 for 5 pain killers ripoff merchants will be complaining to our vets as they should be running there own services. not subibing it out to third parties and charging quadripple for the service.

Awful admin, no empathy or customer care. Charges didn’t make sense. Then threatening that they won’t “cooperate with my insurance if I don’t pay extra”, despite paying in full. Demanded extra fees just to cooperate with Petplan, despite claiming myself. Reception, nurse and vet telling me to “listen because you don’t understand” and yet lacked listening skills themselves. Said they were “more than happy for me to make a formal complaint and were quick to send me the link to complain” seriously unprofessional.

What can I say about vets now they are excellent from reception staff to vets place is immaculate.
Staff friendly and caring. Thank you for the emergency care of my attacked little dog x

Although we had to wait quite a long time, when we saw the vet she was really amazing help, in fact all the staff were so helpfull.

Staff were nice. The waiting room was quite rundown, particularly the reception desk, you could see it crumbling at the bottom making it seem unclean.
The procedure itself went well and service was quick. I understand that out of hours care comes with extra costs/pay to staff, but the prices are exorbitant.
Dont send the generic spiel about your price breakdown, just make it affordable I beg.

From the start ok but it’s money oriented
Paid £250 deposit
They have my insurance details but not done it
There should be a cap on charges regardless of day or time
I’m suffering financially and mentally
Them not sorting claim is adding to my bereavement
A 5 minute ultrasound should be no more than a tenner easy target to drain you demand financially

Posted originally on google and was removed by company , Was thrown into a room and forgotten about whilst my dog was left pouring of blood for hours on end , The first student vet nurse had 0 patience with dog and literally stormed out of the room with not a hint of any duty of care until finally being seen by the actual vet, Had to repeatedly ask receptionist what was happening to be told the dog is fine by the judge of her eye, Was then charged close to 1000 pounds for a consultation / a bandage which came off within 24 hours and prescribed a tray of paracetamol. Really terrible experience going here really hope no one else experiences that kind of treatment for their animals🙏
