Selling tickets for Sunday game when fixture wasn’t even confirmed

As we were visiting Melbourne for the first time and one of the things to do is watch an AFL game at the MCG we decided to purchase tickets. I saw tickets advertised for Sunday 25th August and purchased 3 for Collingwood v Essendon. Weeks later I received an email saying the game had been changed to the Friday. Unfortunately we aren’t arriving until Friday evening and won’t make the game. I now realise they were selling these tickets for a game on Sunday and it wasn’t even confirmed as a Sunday fixture. Will never use this site again.

Fraudelent website !

Extremely bad website which is fraudelent and made to rip off people !
I bought tickets for an event which was cancelled. They first said I would be refunded, later they said the opposite and refuse to refund.
The original seller of the tickets gets a refund from the organizer of the cancelled event plus the money I paid for the tickets! Only one explanation : The seller must be a member of the viagogo team.
Spread the words : DO NOT BUY TICKETS FROM VIAGOGO
PS. I'm working on a legal case !

Be very careful if you buy from such websites. I had never encountered any fraudulent transactions on my credit card until 2 days after I unknowingly purchased concert tickets from this website. Somehow the fraudsters use Facebook advertisement to make these fraudulent transactions from a domain based in IE. So be forewarned.

Still waiting for refund

I got tickets for a Berlin gig, which ended up being cancelled. I was advised by viagogo to send the tickets back in order to receive a refund, which I did (while on vacation in Germany).
When asking about the status of my complaint, they refuse to review it any further, as I was unable to provide a copy of the receipt for posting the tickets.
The gig was cancelled and the tickets are worthless. In any other case, a refund would be processed right away. It's clearly showing in my viagogo account history that I purchases these tickets.

Fraudulent, unethical company

I am annoyed at myself that while in a rush I ended up on this site - came up first on google search and thought they were the venue. I then ended up purchasing tickets that were completely overpriced. Got no satisfaction from a guy in customer service reading from a script telling me he was sorry for the inconvenience but offering me the option to resell the tickets to rip off somebody else.
Do not touch this company. I would give minus stars if I could and I am not the only one reading these reviews. I wish that I had read them first.

Totally unreliable

Well I had one positive and one negative experience but the negative one was severely stressful. I ordered 2 concert tickets both for overseas venues. The first came through with no problem. The second was for a BTS concert for which I had to fly to Japan for a concert on 7th July. They gave me 2 guaranteed shipping dates - 2nd and 4th July. Those came and went with no evidence of shipping. Even then they kept guaranteeing the ticket would arrive in time through 4 to 5 separate e-mails although I didn't see how this could possibly happen. Of course the ticket never came and I had to bear the cancellation cost for the air ticket since my only reason for travelling was the concert. They were clearly not truthful that they were on top of things when they weren't. The only positive thing I can say was that they always replied within hours although all those assurances were ultimately useless..

Non delivery of tickets and retention of money paid

Problem with "secure express post"
Viagogo claims they destroyed the returned tickets that We had already paid for
claimed a 3 month limit on refunds had been exceeded although their own claimed delivery around the same time that the delivery was being queried
An Post records show tickets were returned to Viagogo

Missed concert

Do not sell tickets on this website

Do not sell tickets on this website.
Anyone can make a fake listing to continuously undercut your price and then when they feel like they got you low enough they will purchase your ticket and delete their account and listing.
Thus walking away with much cheaper tickets.
It also means if someone buys their tickets, they will get nothing from it. They dont have a decent screening process for official selling.

Honestly no stars

Honestly no stars! Bought a ticket and y
They sent a link I couldn't open. Rang them about 8 times and held on the line for over an hour at £3.60 a minute.
Eventually after the gig had started and I had been refused entry and had a row with the box office of the Albert Hall, they finally sent an e-ticket.

After watching Madness at the NYE…

After watching Madness at the NYE countdown in 2018, my son decided to order us tickets for Lingfield Park on this forum.
We now have 3 days before the gig. No tickets.
So I called, our tickets were sold to someone else according to the lady on the other end of the phone, but rather than tell us and refund our £300 which has been sitting in their acct for almost 7 months, she told me that they will try and get us more tickets... for this Saturday.... for an event that sold out 2 months ago.... because she told me that’s what viagogo are all about!
Someone is making a nice living out of lying through their teeth. I hope that you are able to sleep at night!

I was dubious but really positive result had

I was so dubious of booking my tickets when looking at all the negative reviews of Viagogo. I booked 2 x tickets last minute for P!NK concert in the RDS. We rocked up 90% expecting these tickets to be bogus or duplicates after reading some of the previous reviews , but bing bing they scanned through and seats where exactly as ticket said and so glad took the chance as had Brill night, P!nk was amazing!!
So here is the deal (in my experience after using this site).
Yes there are 'countdown timers' ..lots in fact, to create a sense of urgency but when it ticks down you can add extra time so it's no real problem so chillax and take your time when booking. Try different options for tickets as some tickets had seriously high handling fee but not every ticket sale is the same we got away with very modest handling charge. So yes you have to be wary like all things , but to be fair it does show you on screed, so you know what you are buying..it is up to you to read the info in front of you and if you willing to pay it or not!
Got tickets straight away sent by email .
They do have their guarantee and they do state on the email that some tickets will have different name but reassure you that they are genuine and thankfully in our case they were exactly as said.

My husband and I bought tickets for the Hugh Jackman show for a surprise birthday gift to our daughter. At the time we thought its an expensive one. To my absolute disgust I printed off our tickes when they became available and we were way over charged. Viagogo's response to my email highlighting my disgust was less than acceptable. Total bunch of robbing so and so’s

Total bunch of robbing so and so’s
I wanted Rod Stewart tickets and duly typed that into mr google , viagogo was first on the list , I therefore thought it was a reputable company selling tickets at face value .
I paid £459 for 4 tickets , I thought this was a bit rich at the time but what the heck ,we had wanted to see him for a while do it seemed ok.

The tickets arrived today , 3 months after we ordered them . Tickets face value was £55 each plus £7 booking fee , the total should have been £248 for the four

I feel abused by these con men and there seems nothing at all I can do .

NEVER EVER USE THESE CONMEN
Just read reviews ( I wish I had) they all say the same ...
