Received tickets in minutes, great show, thanks

Viagogo has the option to insert a travel address to receive tickets to your hotel when your are international and wish to watch an event in your visiting country. Their platform failed to accept my travel address into their database (this bug was confirmed by customer support) and I missed the event.

Customer support did everything they could to not give me the refund, ignoring EU digital commercial regulations, ignoring GDPR for a long time, ignoring their own clauses and 'Viagogo Guarantee'. Eventually when threatening a legal route and reporting them to the EU consumer regulatory bodies, they confirmed they would give me a refund and gave me a timeline of "within 5 days before the event" as well as a confirmation email of the same. This never happened.

I contacted support a second time who confirmed I would receive the refund 1 to 2 hours before the event, plus a confirmation email. This never happened.

Upon third contact, they said I'd get my refund plus a confirmation email 72 hours after the event. This never happened.

I contacted them a fourth time requesting their data protection officer so I could report them to the regulators. By law they need to provide this. They did everything they could to avoid giving me this, even after I sent them the links to the EU law. Eventually they gave me the email.

Throughout all this, I emailed customer support (as opposed to the chat function) twice to inform them I was taking a legal route and reporting them to the regulators. They never responded.

After opening a chargeback through my payment provider, I am finally receiving my refund 2 weeks later.

Never use Viagogo. They ignore the law and will screw you financially.

I managed to get 2 tickets for the Premier League Darts in Antwerp the day before and had great seats. The whole experience and communication was excellent and once again, I would have no problem using again of recommending Viago.

tbh I was scared of the negative reviews. Maybe I was lucky but the ticket did arrive 3 days earlier and throught ticketmaster, so everything went super smooth. However, the service fees are outrageous compared to the original ticket price as I paid more than double. To pay so much money and gamble if you are getting your ticket or not is not ideal.

I was able to buy tickets for Deftones, even though over 8000+ people were searching for tickets.

Ordered tickets 1 month before the event. One day for the event could download tickets, 4 hours before event the ti kets got cancelled… terrible service was already on my way to the event

Terrible experience. I wanted to buy a present for friends and purchased two tickets on viagogo.nl. It turned out that the tickets would likely only become available on the day of the event (if at all), so I still had nothing to give as a gift. On the viagogo website, they claim this is due to venue rules. Total bullshit.
I went to Ticketmaster and bought resale tickets instead, and they were available almost immediately. I tried to re-list my viagogo tickets for resale, but nobody bought them. In the end, I lost €270 by choosing viagogo.
Be careful. It’s a gamble. They claim your tickets are “secured” and will be released on the day of the event, or that you’ll receive a 100% refund. That means you pay the full price and don’t know whether you’ll actually be able to attend until the last day. Sounds like a scam to me.

Do not buy tickets here.
Tickets were fake and refussed at entrance of event. Since trip was specially for this event, we ended buying new tickets on location and lost the good seats we paid originally for.
Hope at least money will be returned.

Very bad experience.
Provided a fake ticket for the AC Milan match. Had to call customer support for one hour when they arranged a new ticket. Arrived 25 minutes late in the stadium and had to call an international number that charges additional costs. When contacting them afterwards they said I opted for the replacement ticket (obvious when standing outside the stadium).
Overall very bad experience.

My experience with Viagogo has been extremely disappointing and concerning.
I purchased tickets that later turned out to contain incorrect match information. The kick-off time on the tickets did not match the official match time published on the official CAF / AFCON website. This issue was raised multiple times, yet Viagogo never addressed my concerns in any meaningful way.
Despite numerous contact moments, my messages were repeatedly ignored or met with generic and contradictory responses. At no point did Viagogo appear to seriously review the tickets or investigate what was actually wrong.
Shortly after the purchase, I was contacted by an external seller who requested FAN ID details, verification codes, and communication outside the Viagogo platform. All official sources explicitly warn against sharing such sensitive information. This raised serious security concerns.
What is most alarming is that Viagogo appears to facilitate or tolerate these practices, effectively supporting situations that resemble scam or phishing patterns. Sensitive data is being requested by third parties without clear consent or proper safeguards, which is unacceptable.
Due to the incorrect ticket information, the unsafe handling of personal data, the lack of meaningful customer support, and the many contradictory messages, I completely lost trust in Viagogo.
I strongly advise others to avoid this platform.
