Lift
Lift, TV and WiFi not working in room. Staff member suggested I change room which I agreed to. Arrived back after packing up to be told no other room available. Very poor service.

The Executive room allocated was absolutely shocking, the room had no heating from arrival to departure 16 hours of freezing cold room, reception not really interested, room full of old dust, carpets need a good clean, some of the carpet is threadbare leading to the room, the walls in the room need repainting, it is the first time I have had to wear my clothes on in bed all night to keep warm, the remaining hours spent not in bed I kept my overcoat on never again.
This is my honest account (not a moan). The Hotel is in a good location directly across from the train station in Bradford. There is free on site parking for the duration of your stay. However these are probably the only plus points I can say about this hotel. To begin with trying to get in through the rotating doors especially with luggage in tow, was a task in itself. The doors were stiff and needed a lot of force to get them to rotate. On entering the reception it was very large, very dark and very sparse, not very welcoming at all. We booked a twin room and was initially given a double. The male receptionist apologised and gave us the key to another room. On entering the 2nd room we were met with the stench of old tobacco, the room was made up but was very dark, the carpet was heavily stained and the bathroom floor and toilet (some one forgot to flush) was dirty. The bedside cabinets and dressing table had a thick layer of dust and you couldn't see out of the windows due to the dirt outside (looked like they had not been washed in years), We complained and was given a third room which was exactly the same as the 2nd room. Finally we were given a 4th room (the final remaining twin room) that was still dark, small and smelt of drains on entering the room. We found the smell was coming from the bathroom so we kept the door closed and after a while thankfully, became nose blind. This room was cleaner than the others although we did find a Mcdonald wrapper and straw at the side of the bed. The bed linen was clean and the beds were comfortable enough. The whole hotel was painted in black and grey and all the rooms were dark and dismal. The restaurant where we had breakfast was the same black and grey but was slightly brighter than anywhere else in the hotel. The breakfast was good with a choice of Continental or English (best thing about the hotel was the Cook). The dark interior and cleanliness of the hotel was a real let down, and really substandard for the price we paid for 1 night £96. Unfortunately I would not recommend this hotel nor would I stay there again
