Rating the Visitthecapitol Technology assistance
First off I want to say that being able to book tours to see my Nation capitol (United States of America) is grand. But, the technology is out date or antiquated as it is in most government systems. I sent a technology request to the tech department at the visitors center that I needed to change my email address on my account. My old email address had been severely compromised and I do not want it tied to my account at the visitthecapitol. However, I was dismayed when I received an email today (5/27/25) from someone at the visitors center but not the tech department? that they are unable to that. Which means that our precious US Capitol was probably using overseas technical support and now no one knows how to do anything. I sent another email back to escalate my issue because when I told them that my old email address has been compromised it should be a no brainer for the tech team to shut down any port into the capitol that could be a hazard or a threat. I am rating the technology assistance only. I rate them 3 out of 5 in that they got back to me with a contact name and the like. But, please continue to visit our great capitol the volunteers are amazing and they are eager to tell you about its history.
