Dreadful service

Dreadful service. I have lost my code and there is no way of contacting them. You cannot send them an email without a business email address....this is a domestic alarm system!

So basically I am stuck with an alarm that goes off at random times, sometimes during the night, but cannot get any technical support to help fix this.

Searching the internet yields nothing other than the form that will not be sent, as I don't have a business address.

So basically, there is no technical support for this product.

I have tried calling the Ireland number and it is constantly busy. No message, just the busy tone.

A truly awful product

Awful, a truly awful product. Extremely temperamental - will have random system issues/troubles & will start beeping every 30 seconds. It will also go into an “Alarm in memory mode” for no apparent reason & there is no way to clear it.

Hopeless new system

Hopeless new system, firmware issues. Alarm will trigger for no reason, engineer has no idea how to fix, the support is non existent

I am amazed at all the negative…

I am amazed at all the negative comments. I have had a PowerMax+ for 18 years. Neither the Control Panel or various sensors have gone faulty 'til now. (Key fob faulty now. Only had to replace batteries in sensors as required)
However I recently contacted Support with regard to obtaining a replacement for the MCT 234 Fob.
No reply to date.
Still no reply from Visonic. Their support is a joke!

Visonic installation code

The unit is very good but the issue is the installer changes the engineering code.
The effect of this is you are at the installers mercy as to when he will turn up and you usually get ripped off.
I would not buy one again untill Johnson controls change the units so the end user is in control.
The issue came to light when the trouble bleeps started in the night going off every minute and to silence them you need the installation code and my installer refused to give it me.
So the solution is for the installation code system to be removed or add a button to the unit to silence the bleeps

Short life support for visonic products

Visonic powermax pro was a great value device in the past.

Tyco/Johnson Controls support is the worst you can find.
They simply send you to the installer that doesn't know what to do with specific problems from there system.
Visonic products depends on provider cloud to work properly. When that is discontinue you get an paper crush.
Also manual for error codes are a mirage.
If you want a static and old fashing alarm that you can't control remotely, then this is for you.
Otherwise, stay away from this brand. They launch a product without a long life support.

The absolute worst alarm you could buy

The absolute worst alarm you could buy, vastly overpriced and with cheap components, I first used Visonic in 2010 and got two years out of it before having to replace the main panel, (£450) by a different company, as the Visonic engineer never returned my calls. After moving house late 2018 to a new build I was dismayed to find the builder had contracted a firm to fit another Visonic alarm at a cost of £800 (my fault for not asking which company they used) anyway this time I got two and a half years out of this one before it went the same way as the first, when I the called the company who fitted it they said they don't service these alarms !!! So I called a different firm who came out the following day and guess what, yes a new main panel required !!! Upshot was I instructed this company to rip out the Visonic junk and fit a new alarm. Visonic should be renamed Vichronic, Don't touch these alarms or the companies who fit them with a barge pole.

Visonic Powermaster 30 review

We had the Visonic Powermaster 30 installed with the wireless sensors and wireless alarm sounders just under 2 years ago and already had 4 keyfobs that stopped working and now both Alarm sounders have faults. One of the sounders just intermittently started sounding off every 5-10 minutes despite having been deleted as a device. Kept us up for many nights and then had to climb onto roof at my risk which was very scary to disconnect battery. The other sounder triggered the tamper alarm when nobody had touched it and installer said it was a known fault. To replace parts I need to purchase £300 worth of new equipment for a system I already paid too much for. Overpriced and very unreliable alarm system that I would definitely not recommend. Also no support team will talk directly to customer to resolve technical queries, so added call out charges on top. Nightmare system, and nobody has the courtesy to talk to us directly. Warranty only 12 months after which products start malfunctioning.

Bought a tyco visonic alarm from…

Bought a tyco visonic alarm from fitters that appear to of gone out of business within weeks. The worst product ever the alarm keeps going of for no reason and fault after fault. It could be user error however the company can not be contacted to help. Just email no phone and no replies! Avoid visonic tyco security products as if you have any issues they do not want to know.
