Took a little over 2 months to finally…
Took a little over 2 months to finally get my birth certificate. I paid for 2 day air via UPS thinking that would expidite and guarantee me getting my copy of a birth certificate which I needed to change my Driver's Licence. UPS attempted to deliver and for some reason was not able to multiple times. I tried to contact MD Dep of vital records via phone multiple times but it kept ringing. Finally about 2 weeks ago Im agent from vital records contacted me, confirmed that I had given the correct address and sent it out via USPS and it was delivered about 2 weeks later.

greedy criminals
What they charge for a legal document is criminal. It just cost me $62 for my birth certificate. Vitalchek's fee was more than the state's fee. Plus you can order expedited and shipping for an extra $40 but still will only ship by us mail taking 20-30 days even after paying for overnight shipping. They are a racket and should be shut down.

Nonexistent support. I submitted a request for a death and two weeks later got a notice that the certificates I sent were "insufficient" with no explanation as to why. Both certificates were copies of certified documents. No explanation, no instructions about how to correct, no contact information to resolve. And they still charge you $70.
