SCAMMERS

SCAMMERS! Giving them 1 star because I can’t give ZERO. Total scammers. They don’t return your deposit, they don’t properly clean the bedroom, and they don’t even check if everything is in good condition. This is the worst real estate experience I have ever had.

They rented the same room to two different girls at the same time. Then, right around New Year’s, they suddenly told everyone in the apartment that we would have to move to another building — something that was never mentioned in the contract or communicated beforehand. They are extremely incompetent and unprofessional.

DO NOT CHOOSE VIVER

If you are looking for a place to stay in Barcelona or anywhere else, DO NOT CHOOSE VIVER!!
I rented a room at VIVER in Barcelona for 6 months and it was the worst experience I could have had, any other place is better, even if you pay more. I lived with people from different nationalities and all of us were shocked by the various problems and the lack of attention while we were staying there.

We had a leak in the ceiling at the entrance of the shared bathrooms, it leaked for weeks and it took them weeks to send someone to fix it. After that, they charged us about €140 extra per resident due to the “water expense of the month.” We were already paying €60 each for water, electricity, and gas, and from one month to the next we were charged this exorbitant amount for something that was clearly their mistake.

They have a terrible customer service team. They will be charismatic and friendly at the moment of renting, but after that, they will not respond to you for anything except to charge the rent at the beginning of the month, when they even threaten to terminate the contract if it is not paid in the first few days of the month — all of this after not helping us with anything.

A Spanish colleague who lived with me initiated a legal process against Viver because of all the mistreatment and lack of necessary support. He commented that he had never seen such bad service in his own country. Another colleague was forced to move apartments due to water infiltration in her room that no one came to fix; they only gave minimal attention after she posted a review on Google. My housemates even went to Viver’s office and were not well treated, not only by the team that spoke with us daily, but also by the owners themselves, who treated our problems with leaks and infiltrations with complete disregard.

To conclude, I had to pay a security deposit of €840. After returning to my country, I did not receive my deposit back, even though the contract states it would be returned to me. When I confronted Viver together with my mother, they told us the amount would not be refunded because of the €140 deduction from the water bill, and because in two months I delayed payment by 2 days. They kept the entire amount and I received nothing in return. I cannot take legal action because I live in another country, and they take advantage of this. THEY STOLE THE AMOUNT that should have been returned to me and used arguments that do not justify their actions, all of this after not helping us with anything. I am certain it is illegal to withhold someone’s money in this way. I returned the room spotless and without any damage, there was nothing that should have been charged.

In addition, they charge for nails placed in the wall and hide this almost entirely in the contract, yet when you move into the apartment there is a box of nails on top of your bed “to hang pictures.” They are bad individuals who want to take your money at all costs. Once again, DO NOT CHOOSE VIVER.

crooked company / empresa corrupta

Spanish government needs to intervene to stop this company from operating and force them to return money owed to tenants who have used their service. As with many other reviews i have read here, my son's deposit has also been withheld and they don't reply to emails or calls. someone reading this who is Barcelona based and knows local authorities should help!!

Viver is by far the worst company I…

Viver is by far the worst company I have ever dealt with. The room they gave me was filthy, the bathroom disgusting, and I was left without hot water for 2 weeks. They pretended to “fix” it three times, but every time the hot water stopped working again after a few hours.

I left in June and it is now almost 2 months later — they are still withholding my €800 deposit. They ignore emails, give no updates, and I have no guarantee they will ever pay me back.

Their entire system is a joke. They don’t provide keys — everything depends on their unreliable app. When the app doesn’t work (which happens often), you’re literally locked out of your own room. They even left my room unsecured with no proper key. Completely unsafe and unprofessional.

This company is dishonest, careless, and treats tenants with zero respect. There are plenty of other housing providers out there — do not waste your time or money with Viver. Stay far away

They'll just keep your deposit and hit you with hidden fees

When I arrived my room was still occupied by the previous tenant although I was told the room would be empty several days before my arrival. No one cleaned the room after he left and the room was just unclean and dirty. I had to spent 2 nights in a hotelroom and could only contact viver after that.
I had to fight with them to get at least somekind of support for the hotel costs. I guess they just expected me "suck it up" and sleep in the dirty sheets of the previous tenant and just be fine with that?! Honestly gross and wtf!?
They send someone to at least kind of clean the room, not very well I might add and I celaned it again myself. I have been moved out and back home for almost 2 months now and am still fighting to get back my deposit. I have the whole thing documented with pictures and videos of the room at my arrival and at my departure. All they do is not respond for several days and then give some vague excuse of "internal processing takes time..."
This whole company is shady as hell and in my opinion they are major scammers. I went to their office in barca multiple times, but the people there are just all youngsters that can't really do anything to help you, nothing against them, they are all very friendly. That alone doesn't help solve all the issues though... I have heard a lot of similar stories during my time in Barca from many people renting places from viver and I would warn everyone never to do any kind of business with them. Run while you can and please spread the word to protect people from these scammers!

Everything went wrong with viver homes Barcelona. Rent an accommodation with them at your detriment. The definition of thirsty, hungry, professional thieves.
Go there at your own detriment.

THEY'RE SCAMMERS.

THEY'RE SCAMMERS - it is my fault, i didnt do my research and i had 2 days left to leave my hotel as my company paid for 1 month.

I booked via Uniplaces, you could also find them on idealista. Its one of those places you can book right away without seeing first.

1. They approved my request to stay at their property, then declined it by saying its not available and they will upgrade me for another one - which is more expensive but they'll charge me the old price.
2. They then sent me a contract for the new price.

3. the property that is nearly 700 EUR a month, is very very bad - catfishing and fake photos.

4. they dont provide you with anything - nothing in the bathrooms - kitchen is very dirty and dirty and old tools, and no bedding.

5. They dont give deposits back - and in the contract it says after 60 days when you leave - they search for excuses or reasons not to.

7. They say there is a cleaning lady - but she never came.

8. I told them 3 months - then after a week they sent a new contract saying the other one was wrong and it should be 6.

9. NEVER ACCEPT THEIR PROPERTY - if you cannot visit - dont book - its very bad - old - mouldy - no air - no windows in most rooms - dirty bathrooms and kitchen.

10. All my room mates have issues with them, many people taking them to court etc.

11. if you complain and request things they say you're disrespectful and so they will keep the deposit now

12. READ the contract and do not sign it, just have a laugh.

IF you don't believe me or they reply and LIE as always check Reddit.

Viver Homes dishonest

Rented a room from them for my daughter from viver homes - the information they posted on the Housing Anywhere platform was a bunch of lies, that is the room in question was absolutely below the standards described. The managers, Ignacio and Stéphanie, have shown no interest whatsoever in our complaints. These people are dishonest and cowardly. I strongly suggest you stay away from Viver Homes.

They didn't give me back my deposit…

They didn't give me back my deposit after 4 months, I don't advise to anyone. Now I 'm taking a lawer to have my money back. Awfull!

We stayed at two of their apartments…

We stayed at two of their apartments for around 5 months.
The quality of the flats, the equipment there and the service was absolutely 5*.
Julien always made sure that everything is okay while we stayed in Barcelona. Thank you again. We will come back for sure, and choose ViveBarcelona.
I can only recommend them!

Excellent experience

The stay experience was very good. Both the equipment in the room and the speed of various repairs are very effective. In addition, the basic items in the room are also sufficient, the personal space is comfortable, and the decoration of the living room is impeccable. The service attitude is very good. Recommended

We stayed in a great apartment near the Arc del Triomf. Good furniture, cleanliness and equipped with anything you could need. Wifi and TV were particularly good. Absolutely recommend.

Amazing Service & Quality

I've been living with Vive Barcelona for over 18months now.
The service has been amazing, maintenance and repairs are done very quickly and efficiently.
The apartments are fully loaded and don't need to worry about anything else, except your personal things.
I don't think you can find better value for money in Barcelona.
also all staff are amazing and friendly to deal with.
don't hesitate to rent with them.
