They made it so difficult for me to cancel had forgot my security questions and they just kept saying sorry cant help you. now I have a bill of £198 my contract was finished

Simon in the Vodafone Ayr branch took advantage of my 79 year old aunt - she visited the store to sort an issue with her Vodafone SIM Only contact, and he ended up getting her to sign up for full home phone & broadband; she had no clue what was happening - she's a vulnerable customer and it would have been 100% clear to Simon that she didn't understand what he was selling her.
Vodafone are an absolute disgrace for employing little vermin like Simon.
12/05/2026 Update: It turned out the response from Vodafone below was a token gesture; their social media team are as toothless as the rest of the organisation; I reached out to them via Instagram chat (as they suggested) and they basically told me there's nothing they can do & that I'd need to get my (vulnerable) Aunt to call their Customer Support team. This further demonstrates how truly horrendous Vodafone are at dealing with vulnerable customers.
