Worst experience ever – 5 days without internet after switching to Vodafone
STILL NO INTERNET SINCE ACTIVATION DATE - I HAVE SOLAR PANELS ON MY HOUSE AND NOW I'M RISKING HAVING MY HOUSE ON FIRE. My broadband activation date was meant to be 8th August. I connected the new broadband equipment only to find a constant red light on the router and no internet. Despite this, I was told the service was only “activated” on Saturday 9th August at 10am.
I was told to wait all day on Saturday, only to realise there was no internet on either Friday or Saturday. I spent almost three hours on the phone with your reps, who told me the activation hadn’t actually happened because they had a different date in their system. I reset the router repeatedly, gave the same serial number over and over again, was passed between three different people, and even got disconnected at one point.
In the end, when I’d had enough, I was told a remote engineer was booked within the next 72 hours – meaning I won’t have a working connection until Tuesday 12th August.
That’s five days without internet just because I switched to you. I work from home, so you can imagine the stress this has caused. Ever since switching, I’ve regretted it and wish I could go back to Sky.
The experience with your customer service has been shocking – especially over the weekend. Everyone I spoke to seemed clueless, with no idea what to do or when my internet would be live. The whole process has been an absolute nightmare.
Can someone finally sort this out? It’s ridiculous to bring in a new customer and leave them without internet for five days. Worst experience ever.
