Waited 3 going on 4 months for a fibre broadband connection which never happened! Engineer (3 of them) came and installed line, then another 3 came saying there's a fault on the line (while busy gossping about their co-workers and managers)..And then said the fault was actually somewhere else..it will be fixed in 5 days..12 days later they are saying "We will provide another update in 6 days"!!!
Cancelled the account. What a big waste of time.

Shocking coverage has actually gotten worse at my home. Poor coverage all round the northern half Central Coast NSW. Went to Port Stephens for a holiday shocking there as well. They used to be bad but cheap, now not cheap so just bad. (You do get loads of data that you cant use though so there is that)

Broadband
I was looking for an increased speed on my NBN service and shopped around. Vodaphone, made an assurance to me that I could receive a speed of 990 by upgrading my system. I questioned this extensively and was assured by their representative that this was correct.
I agreed to swap from my NBN supplier and the modem arrived as promised. Once we tried upgrading, I was informed that it was not possible, and my maximum speed was 100. Full stop.
Really, really disappointed that Vodaphone mislead me on speed/ upgrade availability. And it is misled, not telling the truth, deliberately as far as I see it.
NBN have told me maximum speed delivery in my area is 80 – OK. If that is what it is then I guess we must find a way to live with that.
So now I am faced with a dilemma. I need to downgrade to that speed and while I am not happy as I had relied on what Vodaphone had told me, I need to accept that.
I thought at least they might have the decency to offer a price or some compensation for deliberately misleading or at least match my previous supplier to avoid the switching of providers again. But a firm NO was relayed to me. You can have 6 months at a little under what you were paying then it jumps to well above that.
Unless of course if I want to transfer my mobile phone(s).

Roaming doesn't work - Vodafone is full of it
Purchased new phone in Australia directly from them. Explained to them that needed to phone to work with roaming in Latin America. Gave them a list of countries. They activated roaming and said everything would work fine. Went to Latin America. Have been in Paraguay for two weeks now, no roaming. It turns on for about 3-4 seconds then stops. Have tried everything, including resetting all the connection settings, Access Points etc. The only thing that works (for about 3 seconds) is manually switching networks from 3G to 4G. And even then it doesn't always work enough for an SMS to come through. Multiple contact attempts to Vodafone, each time they have "escalated to the network team". This company is either outright lying about their roaming or their tech people have no idea what they are doing. Can't call them (because roaming doesn't work) can only chat via the app. And the app periodically logs out and then requires you to get a text message with a link *to log back in*. No idea why this is required for an app on my phone secured with biometrics, but Vodafone seems to think that logging you out on a daily basis is necessary for security. My banking apps don't require you to log back in daily with an SMS Code. Absolute nonsense. So, can't even communicate with them via the app, as you have to keep switching networks manually until finally the SMS might come through. Avoid at all costs.

Vodafone support not truthful, reliable, nor helpful
Had so much issues with Vodafone Customer Care. I bought a new iPhone recently and I was so excited to get it working. I contacted Vodafone to help me get started as I needed to transfer while keeping numbers as I went for prepaid to postpaid. Once everything was working, an hour or two later the phone was stuck to SOS only/searching. I’ve waited it out for a few hours but eventually decided to contact them via chat support. The lady we talked to gave us troubleshooting instructions but none worked, so she told us to go to a Vodafone store to get a SIM swap in case it was a faulty SIM. The following day, we went to a store and talked to people for support. They couldn’t even fix it themselves, even though they swapped the SIM, so they told us to contact the technical support team. We were left waiting in the store for more this half an hour for a response and they finally said it was a server error and they would guarantee to fix it soon. So we continued to wait around the shopping centre, but it was hours so we just left. Once we left, we contacted Vodafone Customer Care to ask for updates. Once again, no, and they said other things that wouldn’t help in my situation. I was so frustrated and was crying due to the stress overload. I kept on contacting them over the next 2 days and still nothing. Finally just today, service and my problems were back but with the whole situation, it was infuriating as their staff lied to me many times. Not to mention, I have a family who needs to contact me each day, and this situation caused so much problems. I’ve also been with Vodafone for many years, and I’m just very disappointed. And they promised me for 50% off the first 3 bills, but I don’t know if that’s true.

Wifi service is an absolute joke
Wifi service is an absolute joke. Can’t watch a movie, play a game, use the internet without constant disconnections or no service. If I could give a zero rating I would. Paying for a service that I can use possibly 1/3 time successfully. Has been going on for months.

I am on holiday in Australia and wanted a sim for when I couldn't use WiFi.
I assumed that as my phone uses a Vodafone sim in the UK that it would be an easy process
I was wrong.
After buying a prepaid sim and activating it, then getting no signal I was eventually told by their support that my (4 month old) phone was incompatible due to some 4g/volte nonsense.
I then went to Aldi, bought a sim for Aldimobile at half the price of Vodafone, activated it and it worked straight away.
I can see why their reputation is so bad(I only use them in the UK because there are no real alternatives where I live)

My case has been with them now since april its now june and still nothing I have engaged the tele communications ombudsman office and Paying for a phone I havent even got Rude staff/ unhelpful / cant speak english the list is endless

THey did a bait and switch on me - lured me in with a great deal (100gb for $40) then 3 months in they pulled the rug from under me - so noy I'm paying $49 a month for 30gb. Well not any more I'm nit as I just churned to AGL at $12 a month for 100gb

BEWARE OF Z FOLD 6 VODAFONE
I have been with Vodafone for over a decade I have 3 accounts & upgrade every 2 or 3 years depending on phone I get, 9 months ago I upgraded to the new galaxy z fold 6 while I'm also still paying for my previous phone & account because I wanted the better experience of the large fold screen, 1st of all it has cost me close to $3000 and at first it was very very SLOW the first few months, & I was totally regretting my purchase, but I realised it required a lot of updates before it started to actually work, I really liked the big screen, and I am very careful not to damage my phones, In all my time with Vodafone I have NEVER gotten a damaged screen, I keep them so good that when I finish paying for them I always upgrade & my adult son takes my phones as they still look new, now it has been only 9 months & out of nowhere I opened my screen to find a large black strip right down the middle affectively splitting screen in 2 & right side touch no longer works & left does intermittently, and within days later 2 white & pink lines appeared at top of right side & a quarter of the way down the right side, it is completely unusable, So I went in to Vodafone & they WOULD NOT REPLACE OR EVEN REPAIR!! my phone, I'm disgusted with the LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Especially since I have been with them for soooo long. Now I have found out that to fix THIS $3000 PIECE OF JUNK, I will have to pay a MINIMUM OF $429 I am truly DISAPPOINTED with Vodafone lack of customer care with a long time loyal customer, that I'm so very glad I only took my plan over 2 years instead of my usual 3 years, so in 15 months I will be CANCELLING ALL 3 ACCOUNTS & TAKING MY BUSINESS TO ANOTHER NETWORK. So lastly the moral of my story is DONT BUY A FOLD PHONE EVER!!!! or you are bound to have the same problem, and wind up costing you MORE money, and especially don't get it through Vodafone you will get ZERO customer care.

Poor or NO reception at work location (within Perth metro area. Wouldn't do anything about that and refused to release me from my contract.
One day my contract phone wouldn't allowe to choose in call menu options basically meaning I couldn't actually use it as a phone.
Went into the store having already proved that the phone was NOT at fault. They tried a few thing but couldn't fix it! They simply threw there hands in the air and gave up?
I left Vodafone that day as my contract was up and haven't looked back!

Appalling customer experience
Would be zero. Tried to cancel vodaphone broadband due to a better counter offer from my current broadband supplier. This should be an immediate action. I spoke to an advisor on a Monday. They reassured me three times it had been cancelled. By Friday, my current supplier said the order was not cancelled and still on the system. I rang vodaphone again and I was reassured that it had been cancelled. Current provider still telling me it was live and not cancelled. Rang vodaphone a third time who finally admitted there was a duplicate order that had not been cancelled but they needed to fill in a form for technical team with a 72 hour response time. I asked to speak to a manager to register a complaint. Told this was not possible and they needed to fill in a form for a manager call back. Very good decision to cancel, if they ever action it. Just appalling customer journey and experience. Frustrating and waste of more than 2 hours of my time on calls.

Warning to everyone.
I came on here to warn others but i can see i am not alone in my absolute horror with this most usless phone and internet provider. I had the most unpleasant experience having been associated with their mobile phone and also internet areas of their business and to say they are completely overpriced and inadequate is an understatement. Without doubt the worst provider I have used to date and please do your homework and stay clear of these. Whilst with Vodaphone my service was down or disrupted more than it was operating. it was slow and their customer service is a bunch of Indian people only there to upgrade you, take more money off you and earn their commission. An absolute joke so please be careful. All the best everyone.
Bombarded by automated calls from Vodafone
So I'm getting bombarded with Vodafone phone calls and getting like five in a row never asked them to call me and I hate talking to anyone over the phone that's why I use the messaging service with them in the first place. I've blocked their number also having issues with the total data limit. When I chat to them they told me they're going to increase it by 100 GB. Then they added 100 GB but it only work for one month. Now I'm having an issue in my mobile app. There's no change in the data that I actually have left. It's still showing pretty much 100% from the what i get per month. And the internet speed is just ridiculously slow. I'm using it in the same area as always. So yeah and that's the only reason I'm sticking with them is the amount of data they some times offer with double data deal. If they're going to increase the price randomly again I will have to choose something else.

The worst customer service I have ever experienced. Not helpful. Won’t help you with your issues. They tell you they will contact you in 24 hours. They never do. I have always had to follow up with them days later only to have to repeat myself. It is disgusting. They lie just to get you off the phone. I would never recommend Vodafone to anyone.
