Before Vodafone may be a better option but now there are a lot better options and Vodafone is bad one.
The support is very rude and unprofessional. If you move to new location and there is no coverage, still you have to pay. Person consider him/her self stupid and dumb as internet is not working and you are using another internet provider but still paying to Vodafone (money printers).
Scam-internet company, terminating contract is impossible for any reason, their only motivation is your money.
91% of the reviewers gave Vodafone 1 star. Disconnecting from Vodafone is impossible. Calling, emailing, sending letters, visiting in-person does not help. They ignore everything and claim that I will have to pay until last day of 2-year contract. They also added additional 9-months to the contract, without my knowledge or consent just because speed of my internet was "downgraded".
It amazes me that this company operates without any oversight when it's clear that they violate terms and conditions of contract law, by renewing it automatically without customers knowledge/consent, not allowing to disconnect within 14-days as permitted by law, adding to the contract additional periods of charge due to technical issues like downgraded internet speed. People should be aware of these scammers. Choose any other internet provider, or you will be going through hell, like all those thousands of reviewers that were scammed by this company.
Kundenservice is horrible
Kundenservice is horrible. No way you can get a human on the line or face enormous waiting times. Try contacting them by email and their AI bot gives you a BS answer telling you to call the customer service. Contact them again by email and you get no answer at all. Horrible.
worst DSL in germany
I have lived in Germany since 2017 and have tried three different DSL providers. Vodafone has been, without a doubt, the worst experience.
1- First, their customer service is extremely unhelpful and difficult to reach, especially if you don’t speak German. Their virtual assistant is practically useless. I was only able to cancel my contract after moving to another city with someone else's help. The only option was to make a phone call—no email, no online chat with a real agent, nothing. This is unacceptable.
2-Second, the DSL quality is abysmal; their Fritz box barely provides coverage for my 90 m² apartment, whereas an older Unity Media router covered it entirely.
3- This is even more frustrating considering their monthly rates are higher than most other providers.
4- They do not offer the option to leave reviews on Google (unlike other providers), which is unsurprising given their awareness of the poor service they provide.
Avoid Vodafone at all costs.

Oh well! I left Germany many years ago (just before covid started) and I cancelled my subscription on time and gave the proof from the city office that I left the city and in my case the country. I sent the modem by post (my bad that i sent it by untrackable post and the covid was another cherry on the top)! And 5 years later I get some stupid bill of 250 euros by a debt collection agency claiming damage (they didnt receive their stupid modem). Since I dont keep 5 year old post receipt, I cant prove shit! And repeatedly contacting them, they say they dont have my customer number! Of course you dont, you morons! And the debt collection agency as they are supposed to be were even worse. They say they sent many letters to my address for the bill and I wonder where they sent them because I sent a proof I left the city. I didnt know such pea-brains are actually employed. They find foreigners as easy targets and screw with them with the paperwork! So I recommend people to just stay away from these dumbasses.

I'm trying to revoke my contract within…
I'm trying to revoke my contract within the first 14 days which should be very easy according to german law but it's a horrible experience. They have a retoure portal that is supposed where you can register the revocation but it only shows a phone number and when you call it they only speak German. No english is possible.
When I ask their chatbot to cancel my contract, they again say 'just fill in the form on the retoure page'. But there is no form, just the phone number.

Never had a worst experience as a customer. If you plan to get Internet with Vodafone, start 2 months in advance, because they are incapable of doing anything in a reasonable time. Support team is kind but useless, they never solve a problem.

Outage and bad service
Been out of Internet for a week with no resolution in sight. Routers and other devices have been sent to the wrong address twice and first and second line support an utterly incompetent. Everytime I call something else goes wrong and the ability for Vodafone to actually do a root-cause analysis is virtually impossible other than doing port resets and telling even experienced customers to restart the router. I cannot wait to leave. Issue of course is that in more rural parts of Germany, such as Munich, your options are limited. State of affairs living here.

absolutely do not recommend their service is unreliable. I didn’t have connection for over 30 days and they don’t let me to cancel my contract. Unbelievable T-Mobile offers help and takes over the contract by offering a six months grace period until your contract with Vodafone ends never again Vodafone.

I have a Vodafone cable internet contract, and it has been incredibly frustrating:
The internet connection drops constantly—unacceptable for a paid service.
The website and app feel stuck in the Stone Age with no English-language support at all.

This guy walked in to my apartment after the mandatory contract duration expired. He stated glass fiber would be installed in the street and we had to upgrade to the corresponding internet contract, promising faster internet and saving €10 per month. After signing, I never heard back and ended up paying a higher monthly cost. Still no glass fiber, can't cancel my contract now that I'm moving because I'm locked in for an additional 2 years.
Also received (A LOT) of surprising costs on my phone bill. The contract offered free internet in Europe, but had extremely high roaming rates if in a certain period, data use in EU outside of Germany exceed the domestic data use. A rule that I had never heard of and must have been hidden in the fine print.
Personnel in the stores (Moabit) were usually friendly but also limited in their support because of corporate policy.
