Stay away, Worst customer service ever and internet connection

Worst customer service ever

I had a vodafone cable connection in my previous apartment where everything was fine but after we have shifted to a new address there was no internet connection. After multiple call and multiple ticket raised over 2 full months it was not solved, as i work from home and I desperately needed internet I begged then they sent me a mobile router with very low speed and i have to call thr customer service every 15 days to renew the mobile internet. But the main cable connection was never solved, according to them the cable box is owned by Pyur company in our building and told me to call pyur instead. When i call Pyur they were like why are you calling us call Vodaphone. Then after so long finall i got a call for a technician visit, but the appointment date was one month from the date. Its like a joke and nobody. Finally i was able to get rid of vodaphone contract after i made a new DSL connection contract with them but they are unable to provide 250 mbps instead offering 100 mbps. God finally helped me getting rid of this worst ever company with worst ever customer service.

And you know what, they charged me 40 euro for address change

This is the worst internet provider you…

This is the worst internet provider you could chose.

I am cursing myself daily for picking this one. It's expensive, there is daily internet cut, daily lags. Everything is so bad. I have never experienced such bad internet provider.

I am counting the days until I can break my contract.

I wish 0 stars was possible.
I have been a customer for over 4 years. I wanted to cancel my contract since my new apartment does not allow Vodafone. I have tried three times to cancel and they continue to try to elongate the cancellation process. They have called, texted, called again. Each time being incredibly rude. Won't answer my questions and have given me a fake number to call to answer my questions. They have also hung up on me when I tried to ask my questions. I would have been open to keeping my cell phone account with them but now I want absolutely nothing to do with them. I am completely appalled. I know German's are not known for their customer service but this is a whole new level of disrespect. Do not start a contract with them.

Bad Customer Service. Difficulty Cancelling

I have been trying to cancel my contract with them. The first time I booked the call, I got the call on the requested time but the person spoke German. I spoke English. I requested if he speaks English he said "Nein". just that is it. no sorry, no thank you and the call was cut.
Then I have email them almost 3 times asking the same question and first time I got the auto-forwarded email on visit webiste to see return label. I then emailed again as I had question with invoice and return both. I got the email saying I should book a call. How hard is it to answer my question? They just stick to the email templates they have and are not at all helpful. If I book a call it will be the same process, the person will hang up on me b/c my german is not that good.

Absolutely pathetic.

Absolutely pathetic.
Vodafone has pretty much as much competence in setting up internet as I do. The difference is that setting up internet is not my job.
The technician was scheduled 2 weeks in advance to come hook up my dsl. I have been getting persistent calls and messages form vodafone reminding me to be at home on that day. The technician did not show up. Calls to customer service produced a series of clueless reps telling me to 'just wait'.
No compensation was offered. 5 days in, I still have no internet at home and customer service number has a 15min waiting time.

ZERO CUSTOMER SUPPORT

It's absolutely impossible to get any support from Vodafone.

I cancelled my contract with them 6 months ago due to their shockingly bad customer service (and consistent overcharging for services I didn't sign up for). They have still continued to charge me despite the cancelled contract. It's completely impossible to contact anyone about it to get any support.

I am currently travelling and not contactable on a German phone number. But able to contact through email or an international phone number. It's impossible to get in touch with Vodafone through these methods. And their web support form keeps having errors without showing any useful error message.

I am very happy to be leaving Vodafone. Now just need them to stop incorrectly charging me.

"Wir sind in Deutschland, nie?"

I have never felt more unwelcome as a customer than I did with Vodafone Germany. Over several calls in June 2025, I repeatedly asked for an English-speaking agent—and here’s what happened:

No one would assist in English. Each time I requested to continue in English, I was bluntly told “We are a German company; we only speak German.”

Aggressive attitude. On one call a representative actually snapped that Vodafone “delivers service only in German,” making it clear my request was a nuisance rather than a basic accommodation.

Misleading “English hotline.” They handed me a number billed as an English line; it turned out to be an automated WhatsApp bot… in German.

Same refusal every time I reached a live person. Even when I finally spoke to a human, the scripted answer was identical: No English support.

Vodafone markets itself internationally but evidently treats non-German speakers as second-class customers. Being denied help—let alone common courtesy—is unacceptable in 2025. If you expect even minimal support in English, steer clear of Vodafone Germany.

Very disappointed.

Very disappointed.
The internet was unreliable, and the customer service was confusing and inconsistent. I canceled my contract, returned everything immediately, and still received a bill weeks later – even though I didn’t use the service at all. This has not happened in the past. Overall, not a good experience.

One of the worse internet services in…

One of the worse internet services in the world, even third world countries dont have auch internet that we have in germany.
Vodafone can win the prize for worst internet provider in the world, if you are looking to buy their service, DON'T DO IT.
They charge you every month with an internet service disconnecting every 30 minutes, when you call some random dude answered and tells you all is good while everything is disconnected.

Sehr enttäuscht von Vodafone Deutschland

Vor etwa einem Monat habe ich einen Internetanschluss von Vodafone für meine Wohnung in Köln bestellt. Aufgrund eines Problems im Gebäude war zunächst keine Verbindung möglich. Dieses Problem konnte ich innerhalb eines Tages gemeinsam mit der Hausverwaltung beheben. Alles, was nun noch fehlte, war der Anschluss durch einen Vodafone-Techniker.

Seit über drei Wochen versuche ich nun, einen Technikertermin zu bekommen – bisher ohne Erfolg. Ich arbeite im Homeoffice, und die vorübergehend bereitgestellte Wi-Fi Box ist extrem langsam und unbrauchbar für produktives Arbeiten.

Die Kundenhotline ist kaum erreichbar. Wenn ich durchkomme, werde ich gebeten, zu warten, und kurz darauf wird das Gespräch einfach beendet – ohne Erklärung.

Ich fordere dringend, dass sich ein Verantwortlicher bei Vodafone bei mir meldet und dieses Problem löst. Als zahlender Kunde fühle ich mich ignoriert und allein gelassen. Diese Art von Kundenservice ist inakzeptabel. Ich bedaure meine Entscheidung sehr und kann Vodafone nicht weiterempfehlen.

Extremely Disappointed with Vodafone Germany

About a month ago, I signed up for Vodafone internet service for my home in Cologne, Germany. Due to a building infrastructure issue, I initially couldn't get any connection. I quickly resolved this with the building management in just one day — all that remained was for a Vodafone technician to simply connect the cable.

However, it's been over three weeks, and I still haven't been able to get an appointment for the technician. I work remotely from home, and the temporary Wi-Fi box they provided is extremely slow and unreliable.

Reaching customer support is nearly impossible. Every time I call, I'm told to "please hold," only for the call to suddenly be dropped without any explanation.

I urgently request that someone from Vodafone contacts me directly and resolves this issue. As a paying customer, I feel ignored and completely unsupported. This level of service is unacceptable, and I deeply regret choosing Vodafone. I do not recommend this service to anyone.

Incompetent

Do not sign a contract with these people for the love of god. There has been an issue with the internet on our street for over a week now, leaving us with no internet whatsoever. The website keeps changing the time, as in when it’s gonna be fixed and it was supposed to be yesterday. Looking on the website today, they've decided to leave us with no internet for one more whole week! Lovely.

Absolutely the Worst Service I've Ever Experienced

I’ve been trying to port my number to Vodafone for three months, and it has been nothing short of a nightmare. This is hands down the worst customer service experience I’ve had in my life.

I've been hung up on five times, sent to physical stores eight different times, and had the process canceled without explanation multiple times. On top of that, I’ve been disrespected by customer service agents on at least four occasions, and I’m still nowhere closer to having my issue resolved.

Vodafone has wasted an incredible amount of my time, shown complete disorganization, and a total lack of accountability. If you value your time, energy, and sanity, avoid Vodafone at all costs.

Avoid if possible

Giving 2 stars as the overall internet provided was fairly smooth and without issues.

However, my overall opinion of internet companies is that they are like the devil manifest, and Vodafone definitely doesn’t alter this opinion.

The employees are clearly pushed strongly (with little sales skills) to sell you something whenever they can, even if you are calling regarding an issue.

I called to ask how much it would cost to renew my contract, and of course it was more expensive, as they tried to charge me extra for a router. The conversation was very unclear, sleezy and inconsiderate. Unfortunately, these are the budget internet providers that clearly have some monopoly, how else can it explain such poor service.

I had previous bad experience with o2 and thank god I didn’t run into any big issues with Vodafone as for sure it would bite me in the ass and they would try to suck me dry for everything I’ve got. Compassionless and slimey company, avoid if possible.
