AVOID VODAFONE GERMANY
I signed up on Jan 6, 2025, and had to go to Alexanderplatz just to get my SIM. They charged me €85 for the first month, but the internet was terrible—especially when my online classes began on Jan 20. I had to rely on my roommate’s cheaper, more reliable connection. Even after replacing the SIM and moving apartments, nothing improved. They offered a fiber solution for €30, but the actual cost was *much higher*—misleading again. Vodafone keeps offering “solutions” that only cost more. Total disappointment. **I don’t recommend Vodafone.**
Every day
Every day, problems with the connection!!! Always on peak hours!!!
No Service at all!!!!
The worst Service of all!!! I am not the only one!! Neighbor same problem!!!
Unqualified to run a Wifi business!!!!
The worst thing you can do to yourself…
The worst thing you can do to yourself is getting a Vodafone internet connection! Customer service is ZERO, awful, you can never get hold of them! The internet service is the worst I have had in years, the connection disconnects twice to three times on daily basis I lost count of the times I had to disconnect the router to restart it and hope it gets back to work!!!
Avoid at all costs!
Simply horrible home internet
Simply horrible home internet. The connection frequently drops for days at a time. I can’t wait to get out of my contract even though I know it will be a harrowing experience.
Invoices never stop for the broken, cancelled Internet
Cancelled the Internet two months ago, because it was not working. Had to pay for a full month while the Internet was still not working. Now it's May and I received an invoice again, more than 2 months after the cancellation for I don't have a clue why, because the invoice does not say. They do not deliver an invoice, but charge you 1 EUR for being late for the thing you did not knew you owe them. Will I ever get rid of this scam company?
Some of their people speak English (very few) and are genuinely puzzled by why the others do not. But most of them just does not give a ... and will never speak English and tell you it's Germany and try to act as if they don't understand basic "yes" or "no" words in the age of Lady Gaga and Taylor Swift.
Nightmare
Horrible experience since the contract started:
- Internet constantly very slow, improving for a few days only after I complain
- Often even impossible to have videocalls for work
- Online gaming impossible
- No improvement got a new router
Gave 14 days to Vodafone to cancel the contract via letter. No answer. Sent another letter to intimate to cancel the contract. Never answered to it either, nor to any of the 10+ emails I sent them.
I have bought hotspot tickets for three…
I have bought hotspot tickets for three weeks and after payment nothing worked i cancelled my account and sent an email to be paid back in half an Hour but I didn’t receive any answers. That caused me 25 Euro with no products. I feel as scammed. I was really suprised and lost my confidence for them
Go with O2 if you can
They provide shitty internet that can't even reach half of the speeds advertised, it is so bad sometimes you can't even send a text message
The modem they sent with the GigaCube is horrible and has like 5 meter range maximum and the signals can't go through walls even when using a longer wavelength
Absolute bullcrap service
Vodafone is forcing customers online in contracts they don't want and increasing there Bills( Stealing from there customers)
Vodafone is the worst since 2 months. When you call online because of a certain problem, they send you already an email and talk about a contract you didn't talk with them about them immediately raises your monthly Bill. That is stealing from Customers and i've been long in Vodafone but I'm going to cancel my contract. That's stupid and i don't play such games!!! They don't deserve 1 Star. 0 Star is the best i can give. It happened last month, i complained they reduced my Bill.. i lost Internet again someday last week and called them, they send me an email of contract we never talked about and asking me to accept. I did not accept. And now they increased my contract Bill again.
Super disrupted Internet Kabel…
Super disrupted Internet Kabel connection since 2 months. No remedy, I am paying bills for no service. Kind of crazy!
BEWARE - SCAM COMPANY - steal your data and sign fake contracts without your consent.
BEWARE - SCAM COMPANY! They signed me up for a contract when I never called them or emailed them. They claim someone called and gave my birth day and house address (so pretty much anyone can sign up for any random person WTF) . Then they sent a packet home (Gigacube) and signed me up for a 2 year contract (apparently I do not have to sign as the random person said YES on the phone) and then sent a bill to my house as they already had my details as I had an existing house internet contract with them. To make matters worse i sent a Kundigung by registered post and returned the parcel as it is... and now they claim they never got the parcel and debited 70 Euros automatically. I called up their helpline and raised more than 10 tickets, each time they say the contract has been cancelled but still keep sending invoices. SHADY SCUM COMPANY, will be suing them soon.
Do not trust their invoices
Do not trust their invoices. I have paid my bill and they just keep sending new ones even after being presented with proof from the bank that it is paid. Just a horrible experience. Nothing but scam artists. I have proof from my bank that the bill is paid. As I Have proof of that my bill is paid I will seek legal advice just to put them in their place.
Worst customer service
Worst customer service. After the end of internet service, I will switch to new one. They won't care about your complaints. In case your internet does not work, then you will be without internet for more than 10 days. They are liars.. Stay away from them. They don't value customers.. Super slow response, super slow service.
They confuse you and they make you pay for it
After a year with Vodafone, this has been the worst experience I’ve had with any provider, despite being tech savvy myself.
Vodafone slowed down my internet over an unpaid €8 without any clear warning, just a vague line buried in the invoice. No real-time alert, no proper notice, just sudden throttling and confusion. The contract is only in German, support is German-only, and there’s no reliable English help. If you’re not fluent, you’re left guessing. The customer panel is hard to navigate, getting access to basic login data takes effort, and the whole system is flooded with bureaucracy that feels built to delay and confuse. If you’re a foreigner or new to Germany, stay sharp, this setup doesn’t work in your favor.
🚨 SCAM ALERT
🚨 SCAM ALERT – AVOID VODAFONE AT ALL COSTS! 🚨
I have never experienced such deceptive, unethical, and downright fraudulent behavior from a company as I have with Vodafone. If I could give zero stars, I would.
Our WiFi stopped working on March 31, 2025, and after 24 hours without service, I contacted Vodafone for assistance. Instead of solving the problem, their dishonest customer service agent told me they were sending a Gigacube as a temporary fix while technicians worked on the issue. At NO point was I informed about costs, contract terms, or any obligation on my end.
Instead I received a NEW 2 year contract while our old contract is on-going. A contract I never agreed to, never authorized, and was never even told about. This is a scam, plain and simple.
I then 2 days being transferred from one clueless agent to another, with no one taking responsibility for this blatant fraud. I still have not received a proper cancellation confirmation or response to my emails.
Vodafone’s business practices are nothing short of criminal. They deceive long-time customers, trap them in fraudulent contracts, and make it nearly impossible to resolve disputes. If you value your time, money, and sanity—STAY FAR AWAY.
I will be reporting Vodafone to the Verbraucherzentrale (Consumer Protection Agency), and I strongly encourage others who have been scammed to do the same.
Outage for 3 weeks
Had an Internet outage for 3weeks and got no help. Only calling Breitband we finally got help
When the technician turn off your internet instead of fixing it
Today we had an appointment with a technician to check the quality of our internet and cable. When the technician arrived, he demanded access to the building's basement. He explained that he would go to the lobby to find the caretaker's phone number and contact him about the key.
After some time, when he didn't return, we went downstairs and discovered that he had left the building without informing us! But that's not even the worst part: The worst part is that our internet stopped working from that moment on. Hours later, when we contacted Vodafone, we were told that the technician had disconnected the internet on his own and couldn't reconnect it!
Imagine, we have numerous online meetings, are trying to resolve the internet problem, and then we find out that the technician had shut it down on his own initiative – without even informing us.
Vodafone is absolutely the worst company in Germany.
Worst Customer Support Ever!
Worst Customer Support Ever!
No English-speaking customer support, which is disappointing for an international city like Berlin.
Extremely difficult to reach customer service.
Customer service calls often turn into sales pitches, exploiting the language barrier to mislead customers.
One of the worst experinces
I just wanted to change the tariff. My husband does not speak German, so I communicated with them on his behalf. At first, they offered me fiber optics, and I happily agreed. However, it later turned out that they had not specified my current address, and the offer was actually for my old place of residence. In the end, I withdrew the application, but even that took some time.
Then I requested fiber optics at my new address. It turned out that they needed to negotiate with the company that owns the building. This also took a while, and in the end, the request was denied—but that wasn't their fault.
But then the real trouble began. I called again to ask about options for switching to a more favorable tariff. The consultant and I agreed on a tariff for €44.99, and he promised to send the contract details to my husband's email. I specifically noted that the contract was in my husband's name and that everything needed to be officially registered under his name—I was merely acting as an intermediary since he does not speak German. The consultant assured me that everything would arrive within two days.
A week passed, and nothing arrived. When I called again, they told me that everything was in progress and once again promised that I would receive it in two days. Still, nothing arrived. Another week later, I called again and explained the entire situation. It turned out that my request had disappeared, and I was told that everything needed to be processed again. I once again emphasized that the contract had to be in my husband's name.
As a result, not only was the contract issued in my name instead, but they also added a TV package for €9.99, which I had never requested. As soon as I noticed this, I contacted them again. This time, I was met with a rude employee (all the previous ones had been quite friendly). I started explaining the situation, but she kept interrupting me without listening. Then she told me that the promotional offer (Internet for €49.99) had ended the day before.
I was stunned—I had already contacted them three times and had just been waiting for them to process everything, and now, due to their delays and mistakes, I had missed the promotion. I tried to explain that I had already received a contract, but it was in my name and contained an error (the unwanted TV package).
The conversation was extremely unpleasant. She interrupted me constantly, spoke in a harsh and condescending tone, and scolded me like a schoolgirl whenever I tried to add anything. She made me feel like I was at fault, even though her colleagues had made the mistakes. In the end, the situation left me in tears.
Ultimately, I was told that my husband cannot change the tariff until the current contract expires (why did none of the previous employees tell me this?! I wouldn't have wasted their time or mine!), and that I need to cancel mine.
After attempting to cancel my contract…
After attempting to cancel my contract at least ten times. They continue to charge me monthly after I’ve already cancelled the contract. Worst company ever!
