I visited the store in Hoog Catherine today to begin a phone contract. There was a particular salesman I had a previous conversation with, and it was with him that I wanted to complete the transaction. The other employee who approached me first did not like to be 'passed over', why he took it so personally I do not know. But he immediately acted in a rude and unprofessional way, making sarcastic and nasty remarks when I simply said that I was there to speak to the other fellow. It was totally uncalled for, beyond even trying to engage further. I left the shop disappointed and in amazement that such behavior is acceptable to Vodafone employees. Not only that guy, but no other employee seemed to care that he was making a spectacle of himself and driving customers away. A few minutes later, I was glad that I had seen Vodafone's true customer service colors before signing a contract. It was very lucky actually, so much so that I now feel beholden to spread the word about the experience as far and wide as possible.
I had a phone stolen in September 2020 and Vodaphone could not have been more helpful with selling me a new one. I bought a year long contract because I knew I would be leaving in the summer 2021. In July, I rang to cancel my contract and received a message saying that Vodaphone would 'start the process', no word about this not being possible under the terms of my contract. I have now been billed for August and am to be billed for September in early October. The phone in question has not been used since late July when I left the Netherlands. When I question the situation, they come up with some new reason why I have to pay. And the irony of the situation is that if I were not an honest person, Vodaphone would never have been able to find me as I have moved countries and got a new phone, but fortunately not with Vodaphone.
I had a year contract. I wanted to change to another provider and found out I had to give 1 month notice. Gave the additional month notice (this is standard so my mistake) and then they double charged me for that final month plus added over EUR 100 in additional data costs claiming I used all data in the first few days for amounts that were absurd. Zero willingness to help me understand or address these costs or to try to rectify what is an obvious fault in their system somewhere. Just hung up on me rather than help me.
I absolutely DO NOT recommend Vodafone.nl especially if you do not speak dutch. They will hang up on you without any word if you try to contact them in English. It happened to me EVERY TIME (at least 20 times tried) so clearly, it's their company policy to have rude and racist customer service. I terminated the contract 3 months ago and now they're saying I haven't (because they would not pick up a phone from me). Dealing with this company is like bumping a head on the wall.
Since I started my phone contract the whole Middle East and black ghetto of netherlands started calling me knowing my first name and my details.
After I got really angry and I contacted Vodafone with the question how all these people know my number( which is new )
And how they know my name and details,
They tried to avoid any participating in this ,they always refuse and avoid .
It’s clear to me VODAFONE OR EMPLOYEES SELLING DETAILS AND DATA TO INDIVIDUALS ! AFTER I TOLD THAT TO THEM THEY BLOCKED MY PHONE SINCE MONTH ONE AND THEY DEMANDING PAYMENT FOR THE WHOLE CONTRACT ( 2 Years ) .
THIS IS HOW THOSE TELECOM COMPANIES ARE THREATING PEOPLE THEY ARE CRIMINALS !!
I have taken a year contract from vodafone which was stated unlimited data while purchasing the contract however later after activating the sim card i got to know it’s a maximum daily usage of 5GB which was never mentioned anywhere, so i decided to cancel the contract within the given 14 days period. Doing so i was informed by the customer service staff by chat that i can still use the data bundle for 1 month notice period, two days later i was surprised by getting a bill of 80 euro in one day for using mobile data out of bundle since Vodafone have changed the type of contract and while contacting the customer service team they were ignoring the fact they have informed me that i can use the bundle for a month and demanding me to pay the out of bundle data usage. In addition it is very difficult to reach to a solution with Vodafone as they keep transferring the call from staff to another and have to keep repeating the story to each and every staff with no positive outcome. Not recommending the company at all
Such bad service on the phone. Connected through and not helped. We call back, don't call back. I have a business subscription of plural phones and numbers, but have been helped so badly.
Still I cannot be reached abroad. Days out of reach, Have to tell my story over and over again, waiting on the waiting line etc.
I'm so terribly angry and just have to surrender to their bad service.
I bought 2 new phones and a plan called redtogheter for me and my wife, on which I am paying for 200GB to be shared between us. However, one of the phones has had no internet since day 1, as it was registered in 2 separate accounts by the mistake of a Vodafone employee. Now I have 2 years contract with a phone without internet and NOBODY is trying the minimum effort to fix the problem. I called more than 20 times but the employees always transfer the connection to someone else who will hang out on the phone. This is definitely the worst service I ever seen in my life
If I could give a negative star, I would!!
Vodafone NL has the worst customer service and practices ever!! They have put me in very stressful situations... not once but twice!
I'm American, but live in the NL, I am very close with my family so the first time was in 2019 when my parent was very ill. I spent a lot of time on the phone and of course my phone bill ran up and I received the alerts and was well aware of the incurred costs, but I did not care because the contact was more important. I received a text that my services would be shut off. Because I was at work I did not notice the text and my phone services were cut. I had to spend an hour on the phone with client services explaining why I need my services turned on and listening to someone telling me that I am incurring costs. It's my money and as long as I pay the bills on time do not see the phone to shut calling and data services off.
The 2nd time which is current... i'm in the states visiting to help with the same ill parent and I need my phone to make calls to their doctor for them and manage data for directions while driving around. I'm 6 hours behind the NL and I received a call at 04:45 in the morning from client services. I miss the call, but call later in the day and couldn't get through. They shut my phone off and all data. I'm in the US with no service and no data to help my parent, furthermore, I cannot even call emergency services so if something happened to me I cannot even get help. Driving late at night by myself was the scariest thing and I was in a very rural area part of the states! I feel like they made a decision that put my safety at risk. Now i'm nervous to leave the house without anyone who has service or where I know there will be wifi. I should be focused on my ill family member on this trip, but now I have already spent 2 days trying to contact customer service to help me - with no success. It's the weekend so now I have to wait until Monday before anyone could help me.
My phone provider should not cause me more stress and anxiety, it should be simple. If I am aware of my charges and I agree to continue, why would it make sense to completely cut someone off when it is not a billing issue???
I have never experienced this level of stress from a phone provider when the bill is current... never!
Customer service is not even bare minimum because there was no way to escalate or solve the problem. I'm sure they can see i'm out of the country so time difference was not taken into consideration and there is no sense of urgency. Just seems like they want to get their money... if they think you will not pay, they'll shut you off and not even think about the life factors behind the activity.
I will be switching providers because this is not just an inconvenience, this is a safety matter for me now. I will continue to complain and escalate!!
Do not get a vodafone account and if you can get out..switch your contract.
I was on a Red Together contract for 2 years, at the end of the 2 years my monthly amount nearly tripled to €85 and all of a sudden all of the 50gigs of data was being used up halfway through the month, I then had to purchase an extra 3gig data bundle. I have had to move over to a KPN contract. I tried calling Vodafone client services and it is impossible as they no longer have service personnel to assist only self service, so I can't query the account increase or radical data usage
Vodafone will do its best to SCAM you.
I'm not sure if half their practices would even be considered legal.
They have scammed me out of hundereds and hundreds of euros over the years.
Do not EVER EVER sign a contract with them.
Don't ever start a contract with Vodafone. They're total thieves. I travelled in mexico and had my sim turned off and was therefore paying my monthly fee and using nothing, which was fine as I had a contract. But once I needed do access the Internet and they charged me €81 for 100mb.
I can't wait for my year to be up so I can end my contract.
Really bad service. I encountered issues for months, only because I was moving form Holland and wanted to change from having a subscription to a prepaid card. this took me countless encounters with client service. firstly, they stopped my subscription, billed me for the remaining money I had to pay for my device (which was fine),but didn't port my number to a prepaid card. I had to reinstate my subscription for another 2 months, beg multiple times to finally port my number to prepaid. Once this was done, they still billed me an entire 2 months of subscription INCLUDING THE DEVICE FEE which I already had paid off before. Do not become a client, unless you want to experience poorest possible service. A very disappointed client here.
Worst service I ever had dont start with vodafone if you need a new subscription on your phone.
I ordered a new contract and device on the 9th of March 2021 and after 3 days I called Vodafone and I gave my finance information again. 3 different people from customer support and credit assessment reassured me that I will received my device in 24 hours, so Saturday on the 13th of March. I called again and this time they told me that due to an issue in their system, my order must be cancelled and I have to place it again. That is totally ridiculous and untrustworthy process. Very disappointed with Vodafone.nl. After 6 years as a user, its time to change the provide and get a BETTER one. Order number: 331476921
If I could give 0 stars I would. This is the worst service I ever had. I ask for an offer and get an order confirmation. 25 min on the phone to cancel my order . It's an absolute disaster. I spent close to 3 hours trying to get someone on the phone, getting transferred. Trying over the chat and promised to get a call back that never came. The price is not what we discussed over the phone. The Ziggo discount doesn't show up anywhere. If I could give 0 stars I would. This is the worst service I ever had.
No support at all for canceling my subscribtion, they have been charging me for over a year for a subscribtion im not using. Terrible company wouldnt recommend it, everything ''optimized'' with automatic chat bots and barely any customer support.
Canceled my subscribtion when i left Romania, they told me I had to wait 1 month/pay 1 month more did this and after I got back to the Netherlands they just kept charging. 6 mails later no progess. And apparently no one speaks English? Even though almost all people I spoke in Romania or 80% of them spoke English bit convenient....
They are sharing or selling personal data of their customers ...since i got this number plenty of people with middle east accent suddenly calling me and know my Name!!
Their top-up service is dated and badly designed. Overpriced services. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.
