Seriously bad customer relations
Following a £51 phone call to Canada Vodaphone cut off my calls, text messages, and data without warning.
I called them and paid £60 by debit card.
Calls and text were restored, but it took over a month to restore data. Their call centre is ineffective.
Then Vodaphone took £74 out of my account (which is paid by direct debit) thereby double charging me!
I have never gone into arrears with my phone bill, Vodaphone’s action was an act of seriously bad customer relations.
Steals money from you! No help...
I am from Holland and I do not have a certain price per month that I pay for data and all. No bundles. Instead, I just upgrade my amount whenever it gets low, as I barely ever need data nor barely ever call someone.
Ever since a few years ago, I realised that Vodaphone takes away a few cents every now and then, without any excuse!
If I use data for a minute, I could understand. If I call someone, I could understand. If my phone would use data to update apps whenever it needs it, I could understand.
The problem is that my settings do NOT allow my phone to use data unless I say so. This would mean I have to open my settings, go to wifi, go to data and then turn it on. That is FOUR steps away from randomly or accidentally turning data on.
In the beginning I thought that Vodaphone was just late with taking away the money, but after a while I realised they take the money away straight after a call or use of data.
Almost every month, sometimes even more often than once a month, I get the notification that Vodaphone took another 15, 17 or 21 cents away from my account.
For someone who barely uses the data, most of what I put on my savings for Vodaphone is now being taken without me using anything!
I have contacted Vodaphone MULTIPLE times with this issue, but as a reply I only got: 'All we can see is that the data has been used so the money has been taken.'
I could understand this issue would be my doing if I had not triple checked my settings, but the problem is that I even asked a professional for help and he does not even understand why Vodaphone is taking away the money.
See it like this:
I put 10 on my savings for Vodaphone.
I use maybe 50 cents per month. That would mean I would be able to use this money for over a year, sometimes using it a bit more often than other times.
BUT!!!
Vodaphone also every month takes another 20 cents from my account without me having used data nor called someone. Vodaphone does not explain what it is for, only says they took it. Now I have to upgrade my savings for every half a year or more often.
Vodaphone can't even explain why they take it... My phone is not allowed to use data without permission nor have I ever accidentally buttcalled someone so often that once a month it costs me 20 cents...
Shortly said it is costing me more money to NOT use data with Vodaphone, than anything...
Vodaphone the Circus Act
I don’t think I have had a straight forward issue resolved in my first attempt by what I can only describe as a circus outfit. They really haven’t a clue how to issue a Esim that works on the first attempt.
This so called back office team seem to be all monkeys as they managed to disconnect my phone to resolve a problem but could never reconnect it again. I had to go to a Vodaphone store some 20 miles away.
I would not recommend Vodaphone at all and will be moving to someone like EE when this horror contract ends.
Don't let the promises sway you...
They promise and seem to at first deliver with the promises that lure you in...
Paying £47 month for broadband and yet last few months it's been dreadful can't get hardly any signal upstairs having to use mobile data half time.
Trying to get through to someone is nearly impossible.
Wish I'd stayed with now TV tbh.
Broadband
Over three weeks ago I arranged for installation to Vodaphone Broadband. Had lots of communication from the company regarding pre contract documentation and two messages regarding installation. On the day of installation, guess what? No one turned up or called to say they are not coming. It was only when I contacted customer services and they informed me that the engineer was unable to visit but could do it 3 days later at which point I would lose my internet access with the current provider.
1. Communication-They have this stupid autobot Tobi. About as useful as a broken toilet holder (no help whatsoever) You cannot chat to a human. You cannot even email them. Call them just about.
2.Managing customer expectations-Done nothing whatsoever. I have had to hang around all day waiting for them. No message or calls to advise differently.
3. I will go back to Sky, it is much more reliable, quick and efficient in services of broadband and sky.
Avoid their services at all costs. They failed to even install the broadband, never mind what the service would be after! I lost faith in them very soon. Luckily I was saved by Sky.
Vodafone, you need to get your act together!
Right Vodafone, please listen carefully. I've given you two stars but only as a reflection of how good you used to be and of the pretty good signal coverage. However, that's where the praise ends. Over the years your pricing has become wildly uncompetitive, and you disrespect your existing customers by only telling them of better deals at the point they are trying to leave. How much better for customers and less costly for Vodafone if you simply offered existing customers the best deals as then they wouldn't think of leaving? Then there's your website, or should I say jungle? Tobi (so called online assistant) needs to be sacked as it's about as much help as a chocolate teapot! Even trying to end my contract has taken a wasted hour chasing my tail on your website, a visit to the local Vodafone shop, to be told that I needed to call one of two numbers, the first of which simply tells you that line is now closed! Whilst on the other number you'll have a good half hour wait because "We're busy", well Vodafone, hire more staff, after all, it's called a 'Helpline' so you could reasonably expect to get a few phone calls. In short Vodafone, you need to sort your act out because as you are now, you don't deserve to survive and based upon your current offering and customer service, you won't survive.
Just switched over to Vodaphone
Just switched over to Vodaphone. So far so good. They got me set up quickly and sent extra boosters at no charge. I'm hoping the switch over to full fibre will happen as smoothly.
Customer Service is Dire
Customer Service on the whole is dire. To be fair there are some good Customer Service Agents but you have to make many calls and persevere for a very long time to succeed. Dealing with them is time consuming. They don't answer the phones and their excuse is they are working from home. If by some chance you manage to get through to Michelle with a Scottish Accent from Customer Service just disconnect the call. She had no idea what day it was let alone being able to help Customers. I eventually got through to Martin who dealt with me very professionally. They clearly do not have enough Martin's that work at Vodaphone as if they did I would still be a customer. Avoid!
AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!!
Shockingly poor customer service.
I have spent hours this week on the phone and Live chat with tech support only for my issue to be unresolved. The worst support I have had from a company to date.
This it ridiculous! Avoid like fire
This it ridiculous! Trying to cancel my account t for 30 min on the phone ! Going through security questions twice with 5 questions! Never again with them !
Vodaphone Broadband Experience
After seeing a good fibre broadband offer I chose to move to Vodaphone at the end of my contract. I booked installation 3 weeks in advance. On the day of installation I found out my order had been cancelled with absolutely no communication.
After hours in a call with customer service they could offer nothing to help, their broadband offer had also ended so was going to be more expensive AND they couldn't install before the existing contract ended which would mean paying my existing provider £44 out of contract for the extra month!
After this terrible customer experience I walked away from Vodaphone feeling I have had a lucky escape!
Vodaphone Trash My Credit Rating for Their Mistake
I took out a Vodaphone contract for 4 family members last year but Vodaphone didn't take payment for one of them. I only found out by checking my credit rating and discovered that 400 points had been taken off my credit score for a debt of £54 which I was not aware I owed.
It took months of emails and complaints to finally get an admission of guilt and my credit record corrected.
I was assured that no further bad credit reports would be submitted but 6 months on Experian advised me that my credit score had been seriously adversely affected by a £54 debt over 6 months.
Mistakes happen but Vodaphone refused to correct my credit record with Experian and expected me to sort out their mess. I am livid!
Fundamentally distrustful. Use at your peril.
We bought a Vodaphone Pay As You Go SIM card and put £20 credit on it.
10 minutes later I got a text from Vodaphone saying that they were converting my credit into a £20 a month "Value Bundle" which will auto renew each month.
I didn't ask for this or buy it. Vodaphone didn't consult me or ask my permission.
You buy one thing and a company takes your money and supplies you with a totally different product. How on earth is that even legal?
I am never going to buy anything from Vodaphone again.
Awful company, avoid for broadband
We took out broadband with them and it was a nightmare, luckily they let us out of the contract because they had breached it many times. We didn’t have internet for days as it kept dropping out and the customer service was terrible. Would avoid.
Why did Vodaphone representative visit asking to check Broadband. Not a Vodaphone customer.
I am with another provider, so why is a Vodaphone representative arriving unexpected on my doorstep 24/06/2022 asking to check my Broadband?? seemed to be trying the whole road.
update: the representative when he was turned away said he will have to take me off his list. What list? Subsequently have looked at Vodaphone Ts & Cs which lead me to not wanting to have any dealings with them. Especially in respect of ever wanting to discontinue with their services after any contract period has expired. Ts & Cs extremely complex and ambiguous for the customer. Section 7 does not explain how you discontinue the service after the end of a contract period, hence can understand how customers are ignored. Shameful.
No customer service and tricks customers to sign contracts
I will never recommend any of my family and friends to go with Vodaphone.
Only way to speak to a human customer service rep, is to make a complaint or to upgrade. The chatbot used for everything else is utterly useless.
I have just spent over an hour in a Vodaphone store as the chatbot is of no use to sort a new plan with my contract running out. Vodaphone staff then tricked me into signing to a 24 month contract after only mentioning the length of contract until the very end, after spending an hour to set up my account and taking all my details, including bank details to pay direct debit.
Luckily they gave the game away just before I signed. On a previous occasion, I looked at changing my pay as you go plan over the phone, thinking to get a better plan. Again, after I had provided all my details and agreed to start the deal, I was told I had signed up for a 12 month contract.
On both occasions, at no point did the staff make me aware of the length of plan until the very end.
The worst mobile phone company I have…
The worst mobile phone company I have ever dealt with. STAY AWAY from these jokers. They messed up my direct debit and then sent me an aggressive Debt Collection letter. I advise looking at 3, never had a problem with them over many years.
I went along to the witney store as…
I went along to the witney store as neeed to get dads phone unlocked as with a new sim , elliot the manager and his collegue very help and unlocked phone within minutes , very polite and pleasant chaps thank you very much again
SO BAD.
First, I couldn't get the advertised speeds of +60mbs, and instead got <40 at the best. They applied a small discount for this, thankfully.
When it came to cancel the contract, I was advised I could do so via the chat. I attempted to do so and was passed between over FIVE different agents with no explanation as to why. They kept transferring me and kept me for over an hour for something so simple, leaving me to explain what I wanted again after each transfer.
I eventually got to an agent that seemed competent and she said she put through the cancellation request. I received a reference and a confirmation email. It's now a week after the cancellation should have happened and I'm being informed I have an active account and am being charged for the period post-cancellation! I got back onto the chat and this time was only transferred once. I was informed that the cancellation request didn't go through. Then I was advised that it will be cancelled today and have been given a new ref no. I'm likely going to be charged for the week for broadband I didn't even use because of their mistake, if it even gets cancelled this time!
Poor non-fibre internet and very poor service - would absolutely not recommend.
Today I underwent a harrowing service…
Today I underwent a harrowing service at the hands of these so-called professionals. My phone contract that has been in existence since April 21 for no apparent reason missed a payment this month. There was more than enough funds to meet this demand so clearly not my fault. I have tried to settle this matter with the company who just simply in the first instance offered me £20 to disappear which is set to null the moment you ask to speak to a manager. The first I knew about this matter was this morning when I telephoned to report people were constantly telling me my line was breaking up when I spoke with them. The person I spoke to was rude and I found myself on restricted service because something had gone wrong on their end in collecting the due money. I even have copied and pasted in chat the manager agreeing with me that I am not at fault. He then went on to try and make me sign up on the internet there is nothing about this in the service agreement and it was impossible to follow. Still, his confirmation will be useful for citizens' advice. They refuse a letter of apology and the general service is one of being passed off with £20 to go away and unexpected arrogance.
