Do not Trust them and dont waste u time...
Ist might bei the right place to start in the first place, nur after a few projects you realize, that you never get paid more for your work, than they think you have to. They pay you dir hard work lese then $20 and If you decline a job, because you can't start working for ~$4 and be available for corrections in the next few days, they start to contact you every day and treat you that you have to do the Job and it ist irrelevant if they give you the possibiillity to reject a Job. The concequence ist that you will be Blockes for any further Jobs. They claim that you can charge for your corrections but in reallity they have to be for free so they can get you Jobs in Future, everething you do, might be bad or good for your Bunny Score. Bunnyinc wants to get new good voices for a huge amount of Money of there clients, but wont pay for there pros. Do not Trust them, they always Claim to be fair and professionell, the only Professionallity, is that Senior title in the Email you get they get you pressure.
Not professional in process or product!!
Clunky interface, no real support for or consideration of global artists (jobs land in the middle of the night and no indication to end clients on a talent’s location or time zone). Bad customer service and no implementation of suggested fixes to issues (such as ability to upload more than one take for client to cut down need for revisions). Scoring/league table system actually promotes lower quality work from talent.
Recently all my pro TVC/radio VOs were removed for not passing VB’s oddly stringent and inconsistent quality control!
At best this is a training ground for inexperienced talent to ‘cut their teeth’ but all serious pro talent should avoid like the plague. Voice Realm or Voices123 far superior.
Avoid, avoid, avoid
If you're a VO artist
If you're a VO artist, I wouldn't bother. Good customer service at the start, but they care more about the difference between 95% perfect studio conditions being increased to 100% than they do about offering equitable opportunity to all VOs for getting jobs. My hunch is that they rotate a small pool of VO artists compared to the full pool they have. After 18 months, I received only one project invite.
Don't Believe the Low Ratings.
These are coming from people - many of whom I'm sure are quite talented - who are not willing to meet VoiceBunny's quality standards.
I've been with Voice Bunny for over two years and have become one of their top voices.
Yes, the standards are high; that has made me become better, both in performance and technical skills. VB has helped me raise my own production standards. I no longer produce files which are "good enough for broadcast." And no, it does not require big money for equipment. I have a 10-year-old laptop, $200 microphone, and a $100 computer interface - and spent maybe another $200 on acoustic treatment for my recording space.
Rates: you set them where you want them. Yes, I started low in order to gain exposure, but then gradually increased them. And yes, they are still lower than I might get from talent or ad agencies.
But guess what: I get 2 or 3 gigs a week, can sit in my studio in my underwear if I like, with no producer wanting 20 re-takes. And once VB accepts the audio file, bang! I get my money in 30 days. Period. No billing to worry about, no luxurious studio to maintain, no expensive equipment, and no pretentious producers to try to impress.
One final note: the people at VoiceBunny are the kindest people I've ever worked with.
Works for me.
I tried to upload the TEST session to…
I tried to upload the TEST session to every single format requested and it was not accepted. I tried to contact them to only receive CANNED messages...I do VO auditions and work on the daily and these people won't accept my files...moving on....especially after reading these negative reviews:)
Hey Sir Please See Confirm Your Voice…
Hey Sir Please See Confirm Your Voice Me 👍
O star...This company is a total SCAM
O star...This company is a total SCAM, they want you to produce voice projects for free by sending fake client requests. Total crap. There is no way to upload a Voice Demo. Don't waste your time with these jokers. A real company pays for voice work.
Dont waste time with voice bunny..
Dont waste time with voice bunny... for some reason or the other they will keep rejecting yor voice test and wasting your time stating some wierd standards and boast that only few people are able to meet their quality requirements...but the irony is when i searched their site for voice artists in the category of hindi language i found such horrible samples out there ....some distorted, some full of noise and some can bearly be heard...well i feel very sorry for the artists they have esp in this language category for their clients to preview....After 15 years of delivering voice overs to 100s of clients i guess i really need to learn from voice bunny how to record my voice. Am really disappointed with these guys for wasting my time coz they dont really value talent... losers.
Stay away
Stay away. You can have years of experience, a voice like Morgan Freeman, a delivery like the voice of God Himself but you'll be rejected because your audio doesn't meet their subjective, unreasonable standards. Nevermind the fact that you've made literally thousands of dollars using the same studio, equipment, etc. they claim is substandard. Don't waste you time -- all they manage to do is make themselves appear superior to the rest of the industry. Gee, after 40 years of doing voiceovers, guess I'd better find another line of work. Thanks for the wake-up call, VoiceBunny.
avoid at all cost
They want professionals but have no concept of a fair pay structure. They are awkward to work with, give very glib and vague direction, take all the credit for good work (despite doing none of it themselves), and are generally to be avoided by anyone who has aspiration on becoming a professional.
A few months ago they decided to mark a vast number of their voice performers as ''no longer available'' without any warning whatsoever, and for no reason. One of these was a professional voice actress who I have used via them for a number of years??? I have since contacted her and discovered the the massive pay discrepancy between what I was paying and what she was getting paid, and just feel like I (and she) has been getting ripped-off! The lady in question has done over 50 audio-books, was a radio DJ for three years, and has done countless voice-overs on TV and radio commercials.
So to professionals and anyone just starting out - avoid Voicebunny at all costs - you will be conned
Only 2 Stars Because It's Some Sort of Money
I have been with them for the second time now for...a year, maybe? I was with them some years ago also, but they kicked me out because my audio sound wasn't up to par. Granted, back four years ago, my audio was terrible. I have a professional set up now, and I got back in with them. I have completed 52 projects in the last month for them. I got rejected once for echo in my recording, which was true because I rushed to get one done, but didn't have my booth up yet. Rushing is a huge part of the work for them. I also got rejected once for no reason. There was no echo. It wasn't too loud. It was edited. There was no reason to reject the project, but they did. they didn't give an explanation, just said they wouldn't allow me to revise. I'm pretty sure they just didn't want me to have that money. It would've been like my tenth gig that day.
The damn pay is atrocious. If you have the option, don't do work for Voicebunny. Most jobs are under 15 bucks, and we have no idea what the clients are doing with the work. If they go national with ad, they will have robbed you by paying you just a few dollars, when they should've paid you somewhere over a thousand.
I'm only with them until I can afford to sign up for Voices.com.
Anyway, yesterday and today (now), I have received literally two jobs total. 2. I didn't mess up to get to this point. In fact, the day before yesterday, I made almost 100 dollars for doing 8 jobs. 100 is my daily goal for this site, but I've only made it maybe three times. It usually caps off around 50.
If you can afford Voices.com or Voice123.com, or if you're a marketing guru and can do Fiverr or Upwork, do those instead. Voicebunny really does suck.
Nearly 300% markup for sloppy, rushed work
Nearly 300% markup. The company will charge the client $150 and the VO talent might get $45. Why does VoiceBunny need 300% when other services only take 20%? Take a look at how the rates are calculated for yourself on their markup page. The slice of the pie chart for the voice talent is barely over 25%.
You can only set your rates based on word count?? So I will be paid a couple of bucks for a 15 second TV spot? While the "bunny" takes three times that.
Why do they emphasize speed so much? If you get an email about a "contest" you will have to race to record and submit before 3 (yes, only 3) other people submit anything. Only 3 people, out of the entire website roster, will be allowed to submit an audition, and it automatically goes to the first 3 people that submit ANYTHING. You can listen to the other auditions. Surprise, they sound terrible and unprofessional, probably because they were done in haste to be the first to submit. You would have to throw together an audition in about 10 minutes if you even want a chance at submitting first.
Voice actors, if you want to feel like you are working at a fast food restaurant, and probably making less per hour than if you were flipping burgers, give VoiceBunny a try!
Clients, if you want a pricey voiceover that was rushed to finish by some anonymous voice actor for peanuts and QC'd by some poor sap with no audio engineering experience, then VoiceBunny is for you. If you want a quality product where time was taken to record and edit things properly, and where the voice talent is making more than minimum wage, stay far, far away from VoiceBunny.
