I am a vo professional with experience…

I am a vo professional with experience in both acting and vo audio engineering; I have many satisfied clients. I can't tell you how many times the auditions I submitted to voicebunny were rejected because, as they claimed, they were "overcompressed throughout." They'll then give you a short, polite little lecture about using pro gear (I guess my Sennheiser 416 isn't pro enough). Meanwhile, I *never* use compression, eq, or any other effects while recording. For editing, I might do a tiny bit of noise reduction, if needed, and then I simply normalize to -4.00, but quite literally nothing more. I complained to them about this and Ang*l* S allegedly took the spot in question to the "QC" (a joke) "team." She then said my spot had hiss throughout and was, in fact, compressed. You see? Their goal is to simply be right, not correct. Meanwhile, there were a few spots I had previously slipped through with a bit of compression, no problem. As an experiment, I signed up as a new talent under two different pseudonyms and auditioned, using no eq, compression, or any other kind of tweaking whatsoever. Guess what? Both were rejected for...say it with me...being "overcompressed throughout." Under the one pseudonym, I was finally invited to reaudition, which I did with a raw voice recording that was simply normalized. It was rejected for being, unbelievably, as they claimed "overcompressed throughout." "QC" there is an absolute joke, and if you complain you will be argued with that you applied something (viz, compression) when you know damn well you did not. These people have no ability to be consistent, and are, frankly, for the absolute pittance they pay, simply not worth anyone's time - even newbies. Stay away.

Voice Bunny is abusive to VA/VO artists

I did them right. They did me wrong.

Do not use this site unless you are a bottom feeder.

Worst experience ever. Tons of time and talent spent by me to give them amazing VA/VO work for little reward.

I was kicking butt for them for years and one day they sent me a medical script that included dozens of medical terms and words I had to research to pronounce properly. I did not mind as that is part of the job... But, because there were revisions needed in order to get things correct, they got upset and decided to punish me (mind you they just wanted it fast to get their monies) by no longer sending me Speedy's, contests and the like on a daily basis. Instead MAYBE I get one once a month now. Even AFTER going in a changing rates lower (which sickened me as they are already so low it is a crime) they STILL haven't taken the restrictions off of my account. I did not deserve that treatment....

The dumbest part is that the platform could work amazingly! IF, they would stop being so damn greedy. And when you cut off some of your best voice artists just because you don't want to pay them CLOSER to what they are truly worth, you're making a really stupid decision.

I don't even think they know who they really have doing voice-overs for them sometimes. Some of us have done work for huge brands and have built great reputation's in our cities and states for the work we have done. Some of us are requested on a regular basis. Voicebunny could care less. They treat everyone as if they're an amateur that has never worked before in their life. But somehow these amateurs are supposed to know all of the ins and outs of how to get proper audio recordings. How stupid is that? If you're dealing with people who know what to do properly then you should be paying for them properly. If you want to deal with bottom feeders and get crappy work then go ahead and assign your projects to Voicebunny.

Shame on them...

Terrible experience

Terrible experience. I could fill volumes with how bad it's been using VoiceBunny. It's probably the worst experience I've had with a company. There's many problems, but here's the biggest two:

1. Outrageously overpriced:
They charge you 4 times as much as they pay their voice actors. That's exploitative, and there's no reason to go through VoiceBunny— use UpWork instead to find talent.

2. Unreasonably delayed:
At one point, they took my money and never responded for 5 days... total lack of professionalism. To avoid you working directly with the voice actor, they give you a "project manager" who will just bug you and slow things down.

3. Extremely buggy product:
It's awful— it would be so much easier to just work directly with voice talent. The company's greedy though, so they won't let you talk directly because then you might leave their platform. Focus instead on improving your platform!
