So far I've had a good experience even though I've only been paid for one voice over job but I DID get paid. It was a private invite. I then thought thought to pay Permium to apply to the public ones but my credit card declined three times. Initially I'd frozen my card and had forgotten to unfreeze. I contacted Support and within several days I'd heard back and the conversation was fluid and with less waiting around for responses. They were very good. They unblocked from their side. I tried again. My bank blocked due to this company sending Natwest incorrect information back during the transaction. Basically the bank blocked on suspicion it wasn't trustworthy. So for now I might stick to private jobs I get sent although I would like to apply for more. Unless I can have some security that this company is indeed secure I don't want to upgrade just yet. 🤔😬
The interface was very intuitive. The talent pool was outstanding. I had a hard time picking which talent to use among the auditions.

Allow scammers to offer jobs, no way to get actual work when you are trying out on a free account without spending crazy money, no middle ground with a subscription cost.
concerning how many scammers are offering jobs and trying to take you off the voices platform.
I think this is an amazing platform for upcoming voice artists to really get professional and start making money. I haven’t even subscribed to the yearly package and I’ve learnt so much from the platform. Definitely would recommend tbh

Working as voice talent is serious fun. Using the process Voices implements is quite seamless from start to finish. It's generally like so: Jobs ops come in, I audition, client listens, client hires, I receive payment. Not with every audition, obviously: lots of good talent out there. Communicating with the client during a job through the Voices site is an excellent feature.

Voices.com is an easy to use site that I truly feel like puts the best interests of both the client and the voiceover artist first with fair rates, clearly defined policies, and easy communication methods once a VO artist enters into more detail concerning the project.

I am still working with John. It would be super helpful if you would include milestones for longer jobs since book narration can take weeks, sometimes months (as in the case with John, my talent). So, while I am thrilled with Voices as a hole, your system of paying needs tweaking.

I am very pleased with the program. I was able to complete a paid job with ease and receive the $. This was an improvement as I have been the victim of a scam before and got to record for 6 hours without pay...

GO TO PARADISE!
I’ve been a member for a few years and have had enjoyed the experience. User friendly and easy to navigate. Any troubles I’ve had have been minimal and with clients themselves, not a reflection of the portal. So, I’m happy!

After 1 year and approximately a dozen emails and phone calls to their Help Desk and various other points of contact I have never had a single response.
Prospective members should know that Voices does next to nothing for their 20%.
It should be noted that a year ago I made the same comment to which Voices replied that someone would be in touch. NEVER HAPPENED, NEVER WILL.

They are helpful, reachable, and resourceful. If you need help with something they are right there to help. There are videos, lots to read, and if you need a real person you can actually speak to someone!

Voices.com has been my go to "Pay To Play" casting site for almost 8 years. I get relatively good value for the money. It pays for itself every year. The only things that disappoint me are: They are, on larger projects (not going through their "Sure Pay" system), slow to pay, and, in general, that they take a 20% commission on top of an annual subscription. The flipside, however, I know for sure I WILL get paid. The process is streamlined, easy to navigate, and easy to track. I renew every year for a reason!

A power shift! Most of my VO work used to come through Voice123, which is now an overpriced, underperforming "Pay To Play" platform promoting primarily poor opportunities. Voices.com has picked up the baton and improved in every respect, offering a variety of work and providing me with the bulk of my VO work for the past year. Customer service is good too. Keep up the good work!

I've always had a positive experience with Voices. The platform can connect you with both high profile and repeat smaller clients and there are always plenty of auditions to complete.
The 20% fee taken is a fairly standard 'agency' fee and the fact that the client has to deposit funds before you start work is a secure way to work. I am happy to pay the fee, as you also benefit from being listed on a highly visible site and can therefore benefit from its SEO.
You must put the effort in to keep your profile up-to-date and audition regularly to really reap the rewards.
Overall, I would recommend it!

I have been working with voices.com since 2020 and I can say that it's the most serious and reliable platform for freelance voiceovers. I'm very grateful to them and look forward to continuing to work with voices.com.

Some great clients out there, and am lucky enough to have been connected to them through the site. It is wildly frustrating, however, the high percentage voices chooses to enforce. More than that, the number of jobs I respond to that never gets completed or even listened to is disappointing. I wish more clients had the opportunity to listen to the submissions before making their decision. Not sure how that would be enforced though. In the meantime, I'll keep auditioning!

My experience with Voices has been very positive. I'd recommend them to other voice actors. My only wish is that they would offer an alternative method of payment to Paypal who charge very high fees which hit Voice actors based outside the United States particularly hard. Using a payment service like Wise or Revolut would be a real game changer.
