We had the timing belt changed on our van last April by Vospers at a huge cost of £1600. After looking into it my understanding is that these now needing to be changed at 100,000 miles instead of 150,000 was a fault of Ford’s in the first place - so an unexpected cost! Nevertheless we paid for the work to be done. In January we discovered it was leaking oil from the timing belt cover, that Vospers replaced. On looking at the back of our invoice it said we were only under warranty for 3 months. The van was recently in for service and our very loyal mechanic said this should be rectified by the main dealer who carried out the work as it shouldn’t be leaking after a year - let alone 8 months! So we called Vospers and after us paying £1600, they were not interested as the works were only under warranty for a year - not the three months stated on the back of the invoice, so we could have called in January but are now out by less than a month. So for £1600 they are not interested in rectifying a mistake that will now cost us hundreds of pounds to fix! Would not recommended, overpriced and poor standard of workmanship. An oil leak after 8 months on a well looked after van…..

Despite the big job of a clutch bearing inspection I was not told that it would not be worth taking a look at least and to fix the issue but instead it was taken for a test drive and that was all for £174.
They offered to clean the vehicle as part of having it in the garage and that didn’t even happen! I’d rather have paid more to even see the issue regardless of the time taken to do so.

I recently purchased my Ford Focus from Chris Chapman. Just wanted to say a big thank you. I absolutely love my new car. Chris Chapman and Chris Horlock made the process enjoyable and exciting. They answered all of my questions, kept me up to date and sent me a personalised video of my car on the day I was due to collect. Thank you both!

Booked in for Abarth service. Paid 800 pounds on last one so I was a bit weary of this current service. Greeted by lovely service reception person who was kind and helpful. Collected my car, paid. Drove home. Two days later received a service report with photos advising Urgent repair 'nail in back tyre'! Like are you joking. They released my Abarth from a service and let me drive it around for over 2 days before telling me by text. I see this as neglect plain and simple.
8.4.26 : I will never go back to Vospers.

I am on the motability scheme because I'm severely mentally disabled,ADHD plus too much stress or anxiety could lead me back into a mental state known as psychosis and even catatonic which are dangerous places to be as they can become permanent, basically brain damaged. Nobody cares though.
I rang and got through to a salesperson named Tracy, she never at any point mentioned her name which in the car selling world is a BIG no no and considered completely rude and disrespectful. She started taking details and I said I'd like to test drive a ford Puma EV later that day, she was okay with that, but when I mentioned I was motability, and told her my lease wasn't up for a year she replied with absolute disappointment "ohhh so you won't be making a deposit today then?!" I said no and motability says at any time during your lease you can test any car you want. She didn't apologise or say anything, She then went on to say in her downward tone" I see you live in Liskeard, isn't Ford Plymouth closer for you?" I explained that its roughly half way and I'm not liking the 30mph roadworks alot of the way currently " she quickly and rudely replied "Its okay you don't have to explain" then she said "Shall we book you in for the weekend" I said no, I'd still like to drive it today please. She then said ok I will check if its avaliable but didn't voice back that it was lol. I then went on to ask who should I ask for when I get there? (Another chance given for her name) she said "Oh its just me and two others in today so just come on in and one of us will deal with you"
On walking into the showroom Tracy was on the phone, after waiting 5 minutes salesman Jacob approached us and politely asked if he could help, I explained I was booked in and he showed us to a seat, he then asked who it was I booked in with, I said some lady, not sure as she never did give me her name. He said pointing to Tracy "that would Tracy,I'll do the hard work for her jokingly" anyway after she got off the phone she didn't immediately approch us, she just took over in the printing room with our driving licence details. When she came out the room she walked up to my wife, smiled nicely and said hello COMPLETELY Ignoring me sat further back! We then went over the details and the mention of my speeding fines came up and it was kind of a tut tut attitude from them both until I explained they were all in 30mph and I was doing 33-34mph "hardly speeding Jason kindly said" but Tracy exclaimed "I thought camera's allowed you a bit over" I said no, 30 miles mph on the speedo is the most accurate point and they don't allow much" again she completely ignored me and didn't acknowledge her misunderstanding. I was also talking about something to do with my current car mainly in Jacobs direction and near the end before finishing explaining she rudely interrupted and shut me down with a "Yeah" then she took over talking about the next bit. This behavior I've come to learn is called exclusion bullying tactics, common in school playgrounds. Its to make other feel bad about themselves...unworthy.. unimportant.. uninteresting etc. And in return the bully gets a ego boost and a sense of superiority.
While looking around the Puma I noticed in the showroom a Puma with really nice black alloys on, so I asked if the wheels in the showroom could be ordered for our car if we want them, she paused for a moment as if she was going to go in the showroom to find but instead just blurted out rudely "these are just the wheels the car car comes with!"
After the short half a hour test drive allowed I parked up outside Vospers voicing to my wife how she currently upset me deeply and it hurts on a deep level (common for people with adhd) said I wasn't looking forward to dealing with her again as the car was not to our liking and she probably not going to like it, but when entering the showroom her attitude had took a near 180° (I believe her attitude was spoken about by Jacob who must have noticed her behaviour especially not introducing herself) anyway before leaving she had the ordasisity to lie to me saying "oh incase you forgot my name is Tracy" while holding out her hand for a shake.
I complained to Vospers and after 13 days got a response from the head sales manger Chris at Vospers Truro who did apologise but kind of railroaded me a bit on the phone not letting me speak much, he also exclaimed that " thats not how we do things here" I replied "well that how Tracy does things "and when I said "I wasn't lying about Tracy" he got argumentative saying with a raised voice "I'm not saying you are" but I wanted to get that point across because I'm fairly sure she is going to deny every accusation I made judging by how she behaved... now after days of waiting I'm pretty sure she's had no disapline and is probably carrying on as rude as normal.
These upthemselves dealerships salespeople are a joke!

I purchased a used car from Vospers and when getting it home realised there were a few minor paperwork and cosmetic issues. I returned to Vospers Truro and received excellent support from Rob and George who sorted everything out quickly and professionally. Thank you.

Absolute con artist company! Won’t be going near them again! Looked around the forecourt on Friday and my wife liked a Kia Sportage that was abandoned under a tree and covered in bird droppings so I called them to get it cleaned so we could look at it properly. Well they must use some amazing valeting service because when we got there today it was clean but had increased in price by over £2k! What a rip off! On top of that the salesman had no energy at all and didn’t seem interested in showing us anything! Don’t worry, their are plenty of dealerships that will be happy to sell us a car and much more professional!

Vospers as a whole are pretty shocking. Customer service, just awful, was lucky to get through to anyone eventually after the millionth attempt. Don’t buy the extended warranty off them, especially if you purchase a Kia because they “can’t run the diagnostics”, which ends up in you having to get it booked in with Kia and pay for an investigation fee (£150), all a bit of a con if you ask me. Avoid Vospers!

Poor communications and frequently no answer to phone calls. I live west of Penzance where there used to be a Ford agency but that's now closed meaning a long trek to Truro with almost no chance of a courtesy car unless booking weeks ahead. That's not so easy with unexpected faults. Painfully expensive too, but no other options with modern car electronics and Ford's monopoly on their's.

Live in Plymouth but deal with Truro re. more personalised service. Recently had 2 year service on Puma. Left car at garage 8am on 1/5/25.Mid-morning call re puncture in rear nearside tyre.Queried cause as no indication on extremely sensitive warning system when we parked at the garage. No discussion re cause although we were very perplexed and had to agree a tyre change which was said would be done, at a price ! Another phone call, tyre not available that day so I asked for space saver tyre to be used.Next phone call car ready, still with puncture and Lisa discussing tyre repair kit. Explained again that there is a space saver tyre, the car was then taken back into the workshop to change the wheel, then informed car was ready. On arrival at the garage Lisa could not be found, served by someone else.Again questioned the reason for the puncture, evasion+ + + and had to accept the car and drive to Plymouth using the space saver.Later inspection of the tyre showed a nail with plastic top, used to clip electric cables, saved for us when the tyre was changed.
Coincidentally scaffolding surrounds the show room, solar panels are being installed.

CAR GEARBOX FAULTY AFTER 1.5 YEARS (6 year old car, 40,000 miles) - No response from dealer in over a week. Head office says that I have to take it to their dealer for any goodwill. I cannot drive it, they have not offered to collect it.
I bought a car from Vospers on 13/01/23 - I thought going with a larger dealer (who charge more than a private sale) would give me a better service and accountability if anything went wrong. This was not the case.
I was happy at first, the car drove nicely in the first covered year of having it. Passing MOTs no problem, running well.
The car started having problems with reversing about 1.5 years in and after taking it to an MOT who said it was ok to drive I proceeded. About 2 weeks ago my car seized up in the middle of the road while reversing. I thought it may have been a clutch issue but it was actually the gearbox. It's going to cost £1380 to fix and the dealership have not responded to my message about it. I have also had to get a hire car at £180 for the week because I need to get around. I went to head office and they have said I have to drive it to the dealer to get it seen for any goodwill. So if your car is so faulty that you can't drive it to them, you aren't entitled to any compensation! Ridiculous!
I was so happy at first with the service and I would've kept going back for my cars in the future, but now I am going to avoid Vospers and recommend to my friends that they do the same.

Vospers did all my service over the 60k 3 year warranty period, but failed to fix a bad rattle inside the cab from the engine bay..they ignored my plea to fix until the warrantee expired. This is my 2021 Ranger and is my private vehicle for personal use.Obviously the wet belt issue known worldwide was a worry....But yes this company endorsed by Ford...don't do anything for free even during warrantee,or at least not for me..
After a plea from me they booked it in to investigate, but still nothing and no ideas.
Now out of warrantee they want money to investigate and fix, they advise posible belt debris in vac pump but no recall from Ford....so they had approx 2k in service fees for 3 years and that's all I got.
Now glad to be free.
Don't bother with main dealer servicing from them, unless you can sell off the surplus grease they put around the door hinges and check straps.
I didn't push the issue because I simply don't trust them to work on my truck if its anything more than oil and filter.
Absolutely no confidence.
And Ford have destroyed the reputation of the Ranger/transit 2.0L with the denial of wet belt / brake failure/ engine failure issue...So the poor vospers southwest network is the least of their problems. And for me and many others.

I just purchased a Fiesta from Truro Vospers and the process was quick smooth and efficient. Excellent communication through the whole thing. Charles took the time to explain options fully and answer any concerns. I’d highly recommend them to buy from and we will certainly be back for my husband car which will be next! Not pushy and listened to what I wanted unlike others I’d encountered the same day elsewhere.
