Found this company by accident however from the start wasn’t disappointed. Very competitive with a decent choice of vehicles to suit most requirements. Easy to search and select the option required, along with finding all the information required to make an informed booking. I had to change date and again they were very accommodating and when I picked up the car the staff were very friendly and helpful. Showed me the car and gave me time to check around it. Offered to go through controls if I needed to and then I was on my way. Retiring the vehicle was effortless and again very friendly. Taking the time to chat and discuss my holiday and the vehicle and it’s performance etc. I will rent my card from here going forward.

Booked online because of price and guarantee that I would get the Touran I wanted. Unfortunately the car was written off 5 days before I was due to travel but Josh went the extra mile to find a replacement !
Hassle free pick up and return .I wish all car rentals were like this, only slight niggle they don't take Amex so couldn't use their free Nil excess CDW

VWFS Rent a car was the easiest hire process i have ever used. Book it, collect it, use it, return it. No hassle, friendly staff, fantastic top spec Passat Estate car with less than 1000 miles on it and extremely good value for money and half the price of most well known vehicle rental companies.
Will defo use again and may also even buy one when we go to change next time.

Had to grab a car last minute for a long trip to Cornwall, came across these chaps website and was surprised by the simplicity and transparent guidance on the page! Cant praise VWFS enough for the 'no issues' service, lacking in so many experience over the decades. The car was perfect, the services was perfect, the trip was perfect as was the holiday, will not hesitate to come back and will highly recommend to everyone!!!...

We needed to rent a car for a long journey at very short notice as our own had a problem. It was depressing going through the websites of the usual suspects as deliberate ambiguity and uncertainty about the availaility of anything always seemed present. I then found the VWFS website which was clear and easy to use. Pricing was transparent, good value and it was always clear that the make/model booked was what you would get. We collected the car from Bury St Edmunds leaving my wife's small car behind - customer parking was available. Josh was helpful and professional. The car (VW Touran petrol auto) was comfortable, spacious, and effective for the journey to Chichester and back over a couple of days (dog cage in the back, child's clobber, overnight bags etc.). VWFS would be the first place I would look for a hire car in future. I'm unsure whether they would do deliveries if sufficient notice was given but it would be worth asking.

Hired a Touran for 10 days for a trip to Cornwall and could not fault the service provided. The car was almost new, 110 miles on the clock and drove perfectly. Having been quoted extortionate prices from ‘leading’ hire companies I was amazed at how reasonable VWFS were. We will definitely be using them again for any hire needs.

Brilliant level of service, very prompt and efficient. Very good value for money compared to other companies and a nice drive to. All in all excellent experience, will be back.

Had a brilliant experience with VW rent-a-car. From the booking process to collecting the car and returning. I’ve only just turned 22 and needed to hire a car for my holiday to Scotland. Rent-a-car offered, by far, the best prices for car hire! The team at Bury St Edmunds are super friendly, helpful and explained everything and answered any questions I had with ease and enthusiasm. Pick up was quick and painless, and I was given a brand new VW Polo, which was a beautiful car to drive and I was very sad when I had to return it! Would definitely use this company again and have already recommended it to friends and family.
