VWFS Rent-a-Car - Colindale Reviews 

VWFS consistently offers a better class of car for lower prices than I can find anywhere else. I have used them in three different locations and been upgraded twice.

I have got to know the staff at Colindale as a regular customer and they provide a cheerful and efficient service. The only disadvantage is that their locations are not in town centres or airports. I hire cars nearly every month and I don't mind a short train, bus or taxi ride to reach them.

They have been my first choice since I discovered them two years ago.

Needed a car a short notice to take me to Nottingham for a football match.
Great service from VWFS Colindale rent a car. Rahman customer services are excellent and the car was lovely. Used a couple of times now and they can't be beaten for price. All round great experience. Thank you.

Hired a Crafter van for the weekend for a removal job in France.
Was a bit worried about the paperwork involved for taking a vehicle abroad but everything was seamless from beginning to end. Very professional and friendly staff. Also quite competitive compared to other companies. Would definitely hire another van or car from VW Colindale as I trust the service they provide.

This was the 3rd time i had used the car rental from Colindale ( I did live 1 mile away) within a month and Ray was very helpful and explained everything clearly. With my latest rental, because of heavy rain there was a lot of traffic so i was over an hour late returning the car back, but Ray was very understanding and sympathetic to my plight! The rates were reasonably priced and my rental cars had only 15k on the clock. I've moved now to South London but would seriously consider going to Colindale if i needed a car rental again.

A group of 6 men wanted to hire a comfortable and spacious van for a long weekend golf/tennis trip (to an amazing sports hotel near Okehampton) from North London. This meant 6 seats as minimum plus space for a Carry-on size small suitcase, a golf bag and clubs, rackets. The only option that was available was this SWB hybrid van from VW. It took a little effort to go to the site and check the space. It was tight but doable and so we booked it. In future we would try the LWB version.
In short, it is an excellent van - more like a car to drive - great comfort, very smooth and quiet, amazing level of tech, very economical (40+mpg for the 450 miles) and flexible seating.
It was a little crowded as the bags had to be placed in the aisle between the seats but we got everything in.
The reason for the missing star is only that the middle seats cannot be turned to face backwards in the UK, which is not clear on the website, and also the seat moving mechanism broke on collection so we got delayed starting.
However, VW fixed that immediately. Also, the electric battery is not chargeable overnight as no cable is provided.
The cost is fair, the comfort, and being able to be together for the journey (instead of 2 cars) made all the difference so we were actually very happy with the van and would highly recommend renting from Raf at Citigate VW Colindale.

Received a great service from Ray. Very kind, helpful and willing to make sure everything was done correctly. Other staff checked to make sure I was seen when I was waiting. Would use the company again.

Had the pleasure of first meeting Ray last year and the experience was one of the best encountered. Whilst planning a trip I was already entering details with the usuals (Sixt, Enterprise) when I remembered the service I received from Ray and this was able to sway the decision immediately. After booking I realised an issue and so called in the branch not knowing Ray will be in. The conversation was as though we had been friends for years and without saying the issue which was not on their end was rectified. Not only a wonderful employee but a wonderful gentleman.

I had a wonderful time renting from VW Colindale. Ray was really friendly, cheerful, and accommodating to all my needs. He made the process really easy. I definitely will recommend and rent again!

It was my first time to rent a car through vwfs but honestly I'm pleasantly surprised with their professional and rates compare to other rental companies in the UK.

Superior customer service.
1st time renting EV Volkswagen ID3 in the UK. Been renting for our annual holiday across the globe.
Have to give commendation to Rai - Rental Manager at VWS Colindale for his services. He explains details to us in a friendly manner. Price was very competitive during summer and VWS price is awesome.
Only comment on ID3 was the charging cable which I attribute to the 1st edition of the car. EV charging infrastructure in UK need some network consolidation and touch & pay instead of having to download apps & join member which is annoying for tourist.
Got a penalty notice due to accidently driving onto bus lane in Oxford which Rai wrote an email with supporting after charging to my card which I felt should have been done before instead. Anyway, overall a good experience and will be back.
