Excellent product functionality and design
Recently bought a Wacom Intuos Pro L and have bene impressed with every aspect of both product and company. The products were well packed (a bit like Apple does with phones)and the explanatory leaflet was well-designed and clear.
The product is also well-designed, neat and feels solid unlike the vast majority of computer accessories these days.
As the Intuos Pro is quite expensive, I bought additional protective kit (sleeve, pen case) and these also have the feel and functionality of good design.
The additional accessories were also delivered quickly and securely from Germany faster than most UK companies do.
If there were to be improvements, would think a thin protective 'wallet' and a basic pen case would be helpful. I also needed to go to independent users on You Tube to get basic use videos; Wacom are missing an opportunity here, I believe.
The cost of Wacom products are high but it feels really excellent value.
Wacom Cintiq 16
I purchased a Wacom Cintiq 16. Although I am thoroughly enjoying using the product, the issue I have is that the two stands on the back of the product that holds it up keep buckling - particularly on the left hand size which becomes very frustrating whilst drawing. Here and there, if I don't have my hands on the back it buckles and collapses on my desk, scratching the desk and probably not doing the pen tablet any good. Not what you would expect for such as expensive product.
Free software not really free
Purchased for a christmas gift in 2018. The selling point was the free software downloads for drawing programs. Imagine my disappointment when a year and a half later, the software forces me to download an update and then charges me to use it. So free is not really free after all.
This drawing tablet will NOT work on…
This drawing tablet will NOT work on either my NEW Mac or my OLD Mac. There is NO customer support as they are shut down indefinitely (It is June 14).
Buy at your OWN risk. I have tried multiple drivers, versions, reinstalls, searched for help on the internet and it will not connect. DO NOT WASTE your money. If they do not have support, they should cease selling these $100 + electronic devices. This is unacceptable.
Wacom Germany customer service
The customer service of Wacom Germany really is the worst. Apparently they don´t consider their job to help their customers, but to insist their problem doesn´t exist and get rid of them. Such a frustrating experience, especially if it concerns hardware that is essential to your job, and isn´t that easily replacable.
Such a sh-t company
Such a sh-t company. I bought their Intuos 4 M and Intuos Pro L, and spent more money on pens and nibs on top of that, and when I suddenly need help with something for once after all these years, their "support" team just ignores me and leaves me on my own. Absolutely no respect for their loyal customers. Today I placed an order on their site and the site is so buggy and I'm not sure what happened to my order. When I go on my account page, it shows the order I placed, but when I click on "my orders" it disappears. I tried to contact their support, and they just tell me that "we'll contact you". How hard is it just to check if an order went through or not? I tried to contact support multiple times, and every time it's the same guy answering and gives me a different response everytime.
Also, their products always have issues, both the hardware and the software. I'm literally using an ancient driver version from years ago because every update breaks something. Expensive low-quality products with unstable drivers and total lack of respect for their loyal customers.
I bought a WACOM Cintiq pro 13 in Dubai…
I bought a WACOM Cintiq pro 13 in Dubai and moved to Germany. I broke the screen and contacted WACOM to schedule a repair and was told by customer support that WACOM Germany will only repair products purchased in Germany. They advised me to go back to Dubai to have it repaired as they would not, even though I was willing to pay for the repair. This is completely unacceptable from a global brand. The stupidity of telling me to go back to Dubai to repair my device (the airfare would be more expensive than the device) I find completely offensive. Moreover, they could not even recommend a 3rd party repair center in Germany.
I just bought a Wacom One and the thing…
I just bought a Wacom One and the thing can't even write on a flipping PDF. If I open a PDF in Photoshop and write on it, the tablet doesn't recognize when I write the letter "n" most of the time and I just end up with a blank space in place of that letter. Other letters, too, it fails to recognize, such as "t" and "r." Trying to write with it in Acrobat DC is completely hopeless as there seems to be some automated thing that makes your drawings into vector graphics like in Illustrator, approximating the gesture you tried to draw so many of your letters become dots and lines. Unsure if this is Acrobat or the Wacom or a combination of both. The thing also has a lot of lag and can't seem to keep up with marks being made at the average speed a person writes by hand. There's also lag when drawing--marks appear on page several seconds after I make them. Also! The tracking is a few pixels off. This is most noticeable when trying to draw asterisks--the third line fails to cross at the same point the first two lines do, even when I try to account for this. There are no buttons on this thing, just so you know--you're basically paying for a computer monitor and a stick-shaped mouse--and it must be plugged in to the computer at all times, so you can't go lie down in bed with it and draw. And this thing was $435! Taking it back and getting an iPad and Apple Pen. I hear nothing but good things about the iPad + Apple Pen combo.
Wacom drivers
Im one of the lucky ones who hasnt had issue with ordering online or their products...yet, i ordered 24" pro cintiq, ergo stand and colour calibratior.
Though in saying that drivers are a pain that play up and require re installation few times a year (or month) plus my pen seems to uncalibrate it self once every few weeks. Customer service is none existant you are better off trying fix any issues yourself.
Wacom has extremely poor Customer Service Support
Wacom has extremely poor customer service. I wrote to them on Twitter about my brand new $1000 Cintiq 16" back in the Middle of February 2020, I had a small back and forth with someone fron their customer service until they asked me for my details. I gave them my details, no one followed up my problem. It is Now the 9th of April 2020 I have messaged them a couple of times since my first conversation including replying to them in my origional tweet thread as well as in new tweets by asking them for help. My tweets and dms have been ignored.
Their website isn't much better.
Their trouble shooting system is annoying and confusing to navigate as well not having the answer the issue I have, which I've heard is a very common issue.
Now as to what my problem with my brand new tablet is, is that the screen (the only reason I bought the tablet as I already have an Intuous Art) wont display my computer screen, it only says turning on power saving mode and then shuts the screen off. It functions just like an Intuous art.
I only want to know what I need to do to get it running properly. I've heard rumours that I need a wacon link plus but I want confirmation from them before I add another $100 on top of my already $1000 table.
I have used their Intuous Art tablet and was very pleased with the product. It's just such a let down that I upgraded to the Cintiq which essentially is the exact same product because Wacom won't help me.
I just want the screen to work.
Worst customer experience ever
I ordered a tablet. Even though, after numerous calls, I managed to change the address of delivery, they attempted the previous one. They tried once only and, even though I already chased it to send it to the right one, they sent it back to Wacom warehouse.
I had to call them so many times to get the refund. After all these calls, beating around the bush and waiting more than a month, they made the refund but, guess what.... they didn't refund the delivery cost!
I really wish I never purchased from their site in first place as throughout the whole process I got the impression of being scammed and it has been a waste of time and energy.
Extremely frustrating customer...
Extremely frustrating customer service... I ordered a wacom clintiq pro tablet with them in January, and it arrived as opened, inside damage, tablet is dent on them. The accessories that comes in the bundle are also broken, and damaged and were already opened. I requested for a replacement for the whole bundle and they only sent me the replacement tablet (When i already returned the whole bundle including the tablet back to them). The whole replacement process is extremely slow. It took 1 week to get a form to fill in for all the details on the tablets. They requested multiple times to send them photos of the dent product (as they claimed the photos were not clear etc) and after a week they sent me a form to fill in (again with all those photos, details of the serial number, etc.. which take approx 15 -20 mins to fill in.) Finally, 2 weeks after i ordered the original tablet, they offered me a return label and the replacement tablet arrived,BUT seal opened again. This time the tablet is fine but they gave me a wrong cable which means they are selling this product as a brand new product when in fact it could have been a refurbish one. Their dishonestly has hugly disapointed me. I had enough of their customer service and decided to return the wrong cable tablet and get a full refund. They said it will take 10-14 working days max for the refund process to occur and GUESS WHAT? it is March now and still no signs of refund. I rang their customer service up and they only now told me since I paid with debit card and NOT credit card, they cannot process the refund???? WT*F******??? and asked for my bank details and intend to do a bank transfer. Why didn't you send me an email saying it's not possible to do the refund and explain everything in the email??? And have to wait until I rang them up????A few days has gone by, and they are now asking me again if the accessories were returned already. When all these questions were already asked before. A whole week has gone by and still no sign of the refund. I cannot even express how angry I am with them. It is disguesting...
Wacom is an extremely frustrating…
Wacom is an extremely frustrating company. It's like they don't even use their own products. I'm trying to download drivers and the site is moving at a crawling pace. The drivers constantly crash or become corrupt requiring restarts. I need another company to buy tablet hardware from.
Would advise people to steer clear of…
Would advise people to steer clear of Wacom. Poor product with compatibility problems. Tablet comes with poor software unless you upgrade. Bamboo sketch pen not compatible with latest iPad mini!
Pay premium for terrible customer care and service
Spare your money and go for other brands - ANY other brand will probably frustrate you less. Wacom had good products years ago, but not anymore. After various upgrades from the Intuos series, I then got a Cintiq which died right after warranty ended. Customer care is probably the worst i've ever come across.
I've contacted them to send back for repair which they replied quite fast (on a daily basis actually!). Once I shipped back my Cintiq to Germany + payed repairs in advanced (1000+ euro) They never got back to me again. I emailed several times with no reply. I also phoned them and they keep saying they will get back to me "within few days" but never do. So basically now they have my tablet, my payment, and nothing has been done about it. Shame on you Wacom. I swear i'll never get a Wacom again, not worth the money, trouble, hassle and frustration. Not even if it was a fraction of its cost.
Three years ago I bought the Wacom Intuos . . .
Three years ago I bought the Basic Wacom Intuos. Just recently it started acting up, to the point where my laptop is saying that the device itself is malfunctioning and has no way of connecting the device. I tried calling Customer Service, and was asked to look for the service model number on the inside of the back of the tablet. While I was waiting, he grew impatient and started asking if I had found it yet, etc, in a very rude and inconsiderate tone of voice. When I asked again what the number itself was supposed to look like (there were lines of numbers in three different areas within the tablet back, and I wanted to make sure I had the right one because none of them were properly labelled), he gave me the same incoherent directions, as if expecting me to suddenly understand based on the words: "It is located in the back, beneath the slide drop." Right . . . but which code? When I realized that he wasn't going to specify, I suddenly realized how frivolous the call had been.
Admittedly, I hung up with them over this, and resolved to needing an upgraded pen and tablet anyway. The only difference is I will be getting my new tablet from a different company, as Wacom seems to produce in quantity, instead of quality. While it is true the basic tablet was purchased, this does not excuse the fact that when I needed assistance, I was basically told I was too slow.
This company has potential. If only the customer service end knew how to do their jobs, and understand that being over the phone does not give you an excuse to be rude, and inconsiderate.
Terrible company terrible products
Terrible company terrible products. Spend thousands on 2 13hd tablets. 1st one the screen went out after warranty was up. 2nd one had to replace 3 in 1 cable that's goes bad very quickly 3 times. Now they don't sell cable or support their products. So it's now a paper weight. If you purchase, expect terrible customer and product support. ZERO STARS
Horrible company, horrible customer service
absolute worst experience I have EVER had with a company. if I could give no stars or negative stars I would. I bought a cintiq 13hd tablet two months ago and the cable to connect it just stopped working. I call customer service to ask about getting a new one since I can't find them anywhere online only to find out they've discontinued the cord needed to turn it on. A cord used for a product THEY STILL SELL. Their solution? "Guess you'll have to buy a new tablet." Like hell I'll ever buy from them again. Not only did they refuse to replace the faulty product, they refused to do ANYTHING. I didn't even get a call back from them. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this horrible company.
I tried to purchase Wacom Cintiq Pro 24…
I tried to purchase Wacom Cintiq Pro 24 online and I need assistance from Wacom sales, I tried calling 855-699-2266 but calls kept getting dropped for 2 days, I tried email but there was no email posted anywhere and finally gave up. I am glad I did not make the investment.
A company that does not answer its phones and has no listed email contact is a less than reliable!
Take responsibility for your broken products!
Technicians themselves are not bad, actually quite nice and patient people.
Company's responsibility for their products and its overall life span and quality however not so much. I have so far owned a 22hd Cintiq and now a Cintiq pro 16. Both began having display issues after about a year.
Both times I bought the products used, so Wacom stated I had to pay out of pocket for the repairs, so the first time I accepted my fate and decided to simply purchase a new Cintiq pro 16 instead. But now this basically brand new Cintiq is having display malfunctions as well. How can it be fair to expect customers to pay out of pocket for a basically brand new product? So what if I bought it from another user? The product is still made by your company and less than a year old! Please take more responsibility for the inherent malfunctions within your products. If you made a bad product at least offer to fix it. To make something that expensive which breaks in under a year and to overcharge people when they come asking for help is despicable.
It is not the customers fault if your products malfunction, so take ownership.
