Hayling Island
I cannot fault the catering, bar or cleaning staff who did an impeccable job of making our stay as enjoyable as possible. There were a few members of staff that shone above the rest, Ruth the room cleaning lady and Leila from the bar staff, they were amazing.
The food was really nice and there was a good variety, although if you were on a later sitting there wasn't a lot left to choose from.
The entertainment was okay, the music seemed too loud so the singers had to scream over the top of the music to be heard, which didn't make for pleasant listening.
The reception staff could do with some lessons in etiquette towards their customers! They were abrupt, flippant and apathetic.
I have disabilities, mobility issues, so when I spoke to the sales team I asked lots of questions regarding the room, I was reassured by the sales team that I would be able to get my walking frame through the door without any problem and that the shower only had a 1"-2" lip on the shower tray, I was also told that all Warners sites have ramps into their swimming pools.
On arrival we went to our chalet only to find out I couldn't get through the door with my walking frame without slightly folding it up, the shower had an 8" step to get into it and there was NO ramp into the swimming pool.
We had booked 2 chalets, one for us and one for my elderly parents (my 91-year-old dad also has mobility issues). We went to reception to explain there must have been a misunderstanding, they said it was my fault I should have ordered a chalet with a wetroom, and the only other chalets available were up 15 steps. We discussed the issue with a manager who told me to come back to reception over the next couple of days and there would be a message for me from head office as to whether they would do something about it.
The reception staff's solution to the problem for me and my dad was to use the showers at the pool (which wasn't close to our chalets), the reception lady checked the showers, on her return she said no, they were no good either, they have a step into them too.
Great so my dad & I are staying for a week and won't be able to have a shower, lovely! How ridiculous!!
None of the reception staff showed any empathy towards our situation and just kept saying it was my fault for booking the wrong sort of chalets! (maybe if your sales staff were better educated I wouldn't have got the wrong chalet!!).
I kept checking reception over the week for my message from head office and was regularly told NO, there is nothing here, they didn't ask for my name or what it was concerning, just NO!
On our day of departure, the reception lady said there was a message from head office, they would not offer any compensation or goodwill gesture. As it was my fault.
Since returning home I have written a complaint to Warners to which I have had no response and honestly, I don't think I'll ever get one!
Another cock up the sales team made was getting my details wrong, every time I tried to login to book meal times and activities I couldn't, I rang several times to get it sorted, after 3 different attempts, it got sorted, I logged in and there was hardly any mealtimes left and there was one activity I could book for 1 person (there was 4 of us). This meant that when we were going for our meals quite a few things were NO longer available, because they had all gone.
I would never recommend this or any other Warner site to my family or friends until they have the common decency to respond to my complaint!
An uncaring Hotel chain
My friend and her husband booked a Turkey and Tinsel week for us to enjoy because I lost my husband and their friend two years ago.
unfortunately my friends husband died in April and although they offered her the chance to transfer her booking they cancelled mine when I said I couldn't go alone. I couldn't believe how uncaring they were. I just wanted to transfer my booking to next year but they refused point blank. I believe they just wanted my room.
We booked a Warners weekend at Littlecote…
We booked a Warners weekend at Littlecote Hotel to celebrate my mums 90th birthday, We booked Afternoon Tea for 19 people. The staff (Joyce and another lady) decorated the room beautifully. However, when I was in the middle of doing my speech, the waitresses started to clear the tables and walking around. When I stopped in the middle of my speech and asked if they could wait for a few minutes, the staff said we have to clear the tables now as we are going off shift. We did ask for the sandwiches and cakes that individuals had not eaten as too much to be wrapped up, but these were cleared away during the speechs, so a lot of wastage which of cause we had paid for. A lot of the sandwiches were very dry, so I guess were made hours before. The staff did speak to my mum the following day to check she had had a lovely day.
I am writing this on behalf of my wife…
I am writing this on behalf of my wife who is in hospital since 11/7. She and friends had booked Alvaston Hall for 3 nights from 14/7. Unfortunately she was rushed to hospital on the 11th and will be for 6 weeks. One of the group informed Warners on the 12th to say my wife would not be going but as she had not paid for insurance no refund or change of date was possible. What a sympathetic compassionate organisation.
Not worth the one star.
suite was tired,bi-fold door handles broken, shower has mould in corners,no usb ports, given wrong key on arrival.Waiting staff stand around chatting making service very slow,at times I seemed invisible, food was a disaster and at times rude.Overall a very expensive mistake.Iwill not be going again.Abottle of wine £28.00.

Dance Afloat at Warners Lakeside
I recently stayed at Lakeside on Hayling Island with a friend for a 4- night Gold Break with Dance Afloat organising all dance sessions. It was the first time I had stayed at any Warners but have already booked another break. Everything was absolutely excellent, perfect standard chalet for one, very good food and entertainment every day, plus we did 2 of the free tours around the site. However, being keen ballroom dancers, the classes and dances in the large Indoor Bowls area just made this break an absolute winner. I understand this was a trial of 9 breaks with Dance Afloat, please could there be more!!
Completely incompetent
In response to a special offer, in Nov. 2021 I took out a subscription to the Warners publication Literary Review, to start with the Feb. 2022 edition. It's now 5 Mar. 2022 and I still haven't received it. Three emails and a message left via the Warners website have gone unanswered apart from one automated response saying 'We will endeavour to answer your email in 48 hours', which they failed to do. In response to a phone call on 15 Feb. I was promised a copy in 7–10 working days, but nothing has arrived. I have now phoned again and am awaiting a refund of my subscription. The two people I have spoken to have been perfectly fine, but the organisation as a whole seems completely incompetent.
I subscribe to MMM Motorcaravan …
I subscribe to MMM Motorcaravan magazine monthly. Always on time and always interesting to read. Also have been to the various shows throughout the country. These are always very well organised and always good value. Thanks to the teams who always look after us.
No magazine No Customer Service
I ordered a back issue of CrossStitcher magazine in early Jan2022. As of 15th Feb it still hasn't arrived and email enquiries just receive an automated response which isn't followed up. Judging by other poor reviews for this company I'll have to rely on Paypal to refund my money.
No customer service - avoid!
Ordered an international magazine from Warner's Group website mymagazinesub dot co uk. Order confirmation email had the name of the magazine and confirmed the artist on the cover. 4 weeks later the magazine arrived with a different cover. The picking slip had the incorrect cover listed on it, which is NOT what was ordered, which confirms that they changed my order without permission. I emailed the company to advise that I was sent the wrong cover and had not received any communication from the company regarding the magazine that was ordered being out of stock. I also advised that I knew other people had received emails telling them they could not fulfill their order and they were given refunds if they canceled their order. I would have liked to have canceled my order, instead, I've now had to pay twice for the magazine and for two lots of international postage and hope the copy I have ordered from a different place will be the correct one. I still have not heard back from Warner's Group and I know many others have made complaints and not heard back either.

I phone via typetalk (NGT) find out they say cancel ... lucky Government announce to allow extend 6months so I re-booking early for August for service and Mot but they didn't inform me about "Anti-Perforation Inspectors" on 4th years service...(if they inform me so I will go for it) so on May 2021 I found three place rust on Citroen C4 Cactus. I phone this dealer but she told me that my warranty void... cos she wont help me .... but she told me that she dont need ask me because lots of people are refuse to pay extra for Anti-Perforation Inspectors (I do cos I will pay extra) so I made complaint to Citroen UK cos I find very struggles for over 2 hours to contact to Citroen UK Customer service and cos no reply for 2months .. Citroen UK knew I struggle phone them because we are deaf... It make me feel like they are Disability Discrimination.. both Warners and Citroen are shame and not very helpful. thank you
All the help you need.
Our requirements for the car needed research and meeting Henry at Warners Tewkesbury made choosing easy. His pleasant nature helped us relax and, although we tested him with our needs, he worked hard to find the right vehicle for us. He had problems finding the exact model we wanted but kept in touch all the time then Covid hit!! He was as anxious as us but kept us relaxed with his emails. He was delighted as us to hand over the new car. Superb customer service.
