Lakeside

We have just returned from a weekend break at Lakeside. Whilst we were on our break we sadly had a family tragedy the Lakeside management and team were fantastic with their help, support and understanding. Thank you Lakeside

Wonderful Warners

Just spent four nights at Warners Nidd Hall Hotel, Both myself and my wife had a wonderful time right from when we arrived and were given our room numbers nothing seemed too much trouble. The food was excellent good choice and plenty of it served by lovely people. Entertainment at night was first class with guest entertainers and the resident band and singers were really really good very professional, good to watch with something different every night. We arrived on a coach trip with Dunwoods Travel tey also arranged a couple of day trips all in all we had a great time and will look forward to another week with Warners

Just returned from a 2 day break at Thoresby Hall Hotel. Our room (522) was fantastic with great views of the gounds, which were maintained wonderfully. The food which has a new menu was really good, every thing you could want for breakfast, evening meal had plenty to choose from. staff were excellent. Enterainment was brilliant as Andrew Bourn gave a marvelous program of swing music.

Poor standards. We had bad service in the catering…

We had bad service in the catering department. example, we needed an early breakfast on our departure day. We were told even though there were only 4 people in the buffet area at the time that they could not let us in until our eta at 9. 30. We had an urgent ned to get home by 12 am but had to mess about and go to another breakfast area. When the meal came it was very poor leaving me half a slice of toast with poached eggs, nothing else!!!!
We could not arrive on the day booked and no refund was given for a 2 day expensive stay. 600.00 . Will not be staying again.

Hi-Di-Hi Elderly Care Home

Horrendous experience, never to be repeated. We paid £700 for a 3 night stay at Norton Grange in Yarmouth and now wish we had never heard of Warners.
The accommodation is exclusively in chalets with noise from 3 adjoining rooms, both sides and back. Neighbours moved their outside furniture to right outside our door so we had no privacy. All chalets are in blocks quite tightly packed so if you want a get away break, as we did, you stand no chance.
For the money you pay the food is sub standard at best. My breakfast smoked haddock with a poached egg could still swim in the amount of water that was on the plate. The menu was limited so apart from and evening theme section it was same old same old.
We were allocated a dining time for each meal so that limited any flexibility in the day, and we were allocated a table we had to sit at for each meal. Two sets of pensioners almost resorted to fisty-cuffs when one set sat at the ‘wrong’ table.
It is advertised as children and pet free and yet passing walkers are allowed to come into the waterside area with dogs and are served food and drink. One dog barked continuously begging for food.
Entertainment. I think we expected ‘M&S’ standard entertainment instead we got a crude form of ‘Asda’ especially the Typically Tina Show !! Boy was that bad.
So overall the marketing and the reality of Warners holidays has a gap wider than the Scotland goalmouth and certainly not worth the money they ask.
Oh, what was good…it had a nice shower.

Visit to Heythrop Park 26th April.

Visit to Heythrop Park 26th April.. never again!!! Long Queue to access check in, re only 1 staff member.
No opening window in room, room temperature too cold and could only be controlled at reception. Ridiculously long queues for meals. Menu items from kitchen not available for 2 out of 3 days-very poor!!! Weak pressure in shower very difficult to wash hair. Felt sorry for a lot of the young staff trying to be helpful but appeared to be a management fault with lack of training. 2 x sittings for the main entertainment absolutely ridiculous .. Other Warner sites much better than this one!!!!

Warners Alvaston Hall

Just returned from a 4 day break at Alveston Hall.Everyone said that Warners hotels were luxury with good food and great entertainment, this was not our experience. We were booked into room 61 and could not get to sleep before midnight as it was next to a bar with singing on until 11.30pm.The room itself was tired with a bathroom only big enough for one person at a time and a shower cubicle only big enough for a child.Although the food was of reasonable quality it was no more than a carvery with pork for three days ,puddings were basic and drinks were expensive at over £10 for a wine .The entertainment staff were excellent although the resident trio were average. We have been to many hotels which have been far better ,this experience was dissapointing and certainly not value for money

Sinah Warren Not All Inclusive New Year, misleading advertising.

After numerous visits to Sinah Warren, we opted for the New Year “All Inclusive” package. On arrival, we discovered that AIl Inclusive only applied after 6.00 pm, so drinks/coffee/snacks during the day were chargeable. Warner's brochure is misleading, and we felt cheated particularly as we had invited friends to join us.
The Good
Our sea view Signature room was spacious and comfortable.
Staff service was excellent.
Rifle shooting and archery was very good with enthusiastic instructors
Lloyd Hollister was a superb comedian and offered light relief from the constant loud music.
Not Good
The food quality was below their normal standard and as we ate later, the food was luke warm and starting to dry out. There was only one chef replenishing dishes and no cooking stations, so no freshly cooked food. The congealed breakfast eggs would put you off eggs for life.
The music was mediocre. The Rolling Clones were ok, but Genesis were poor. With all the cost cutting, perhaps they can't afford decent bands. The staff pantomime was fun, saved by Buttons who was excellent. The Queen show by the staff was good, but the backing music far too loud and drowned out the singers. I know the average age of the audience must be around 75, but we're not all deaf. Why show producers have to blast out the music, bearing in mind the audience profile, was beyond us. We couldn't take the local band on the last night, so were lucky to catch” Buttons” performing in the bar area. He provided great humour and entertaining singing.
Seats were lacking in the lounge/bar areas, and you were lucky to get a seat during the day or early evening, with no effort from management to help. Guests seemed to get there early and reserve seats for the whole day. It's a good job the hotel wasn’t full!
In summary, this was a disappointing weekend and poor value for money, not helped by misleading advertising. Warning, read the small print before you book. Never again, Potters is superior.

Disappointing week!

Myself and four friends visited Nidd Hall Yorkshire on 15th January 2024 for 5 nights. The House and Gardens were spectacular and well maintained. The bedroom and bathroom was warm, cleaned every day with fresh towels and toiletries! The coffee tea and biscuits were also replenished. The menu was extensive and food well presented but was never hot enough which was disappointing! The daily entertainment was good but unfortunately there were mistakes on the brochure not pointing out that bookings were required for certain entertainment so we were turned away from these which was disappointing! we waited one lunchtime for over an hour for our order to be taken this was after asking the waitress three times. because of this we missed the 2 0 clock quiz. Each night there was 2 hours of sequence dancing before the main show which for 5 ladies without partners proved very boring. The shows were very entertaining and the in-house entertainment team was very good.

Heythrop Park

Heythrop Park
Lovely venue, beautiful gardens and surrounding areas to walk.
Staff friendly and helpful.
Alex in Brassiere 32 couldn’t have been more helpful, from making sure my husband was warm by a radiator to helping him with his eating issues.
Couldn’t of asked for a more helpful, considerate member of stay , making our stay even more special

Tim one of the waiters at Nidd Hall this October

Tim one of the waiters at Nidd Hall a real credit to warners a polite always smiling and so very helpful ,made what would have been a miserable wet cold and rainy week a lot happier. The five stars are for Tim not for warners l did not agree that the heating in the rooms was turned of at times during the day ,it left the rooms in a cold condition for elderly people like me.

Norton Grange

We have been to several Warners sites over many decades with no problems until Norton Grange. (Sept. 23). The chalets were reminiscent of 1970s Butlins. We had an accessible chalet which was totally unsuitable for a wheelchair. There were so many issues with the whole break. Apart from the issues with the chalet I was unable to get our wheelchair into the only accessible toilet in the communal area which was humiliating for my wife. I witnessed so many people making complaints. We actually enquired if we could move to Bembridge. My main grievance is the fact that my complaints whilst there and also after we returned have been totally ignored. We do have one more break booked for next year but I think it will be our last. The standards seemed to have dropped and the cost keeps increasing.

Have been to several Warner Hotels and in general have been pleased but unfortunately recently on staying at Cricket St Thomas it was not good. On arrival we were allocated our room only to find the area (carpet ,etc)soaked in water and smelling of wetness with a dehumidifier located and operating outside our room . Luckily on asking we were relocated elsewhere only to find this room had not been serviced and made ready eventually got that sorted, but in general the service was poor, on the good side dining area and food was very nice, but will not be returning to Cricket St Thomas.

Company policy- No refunds

I had 2 subscriptions for literally years. By accident I duplicated one of my payments from Jan 23. Unfortunately I didn't realise this till Sept 23.
I contacted Warners and was informed 'Company policy' is no refunds.( I paid 9 months extra subscriptions)
I persevered, but to no avail.
So much for years of loyalty.
Absolutely disgusted.

Poor customer service !!!

I contacted Warners a week ago to make a group booking for 24 people. I was informed by the representative she couldn’t do this … it could only be Di e by a manager. I hadn’t heard anything for two days so called Warners and was advised the quote would come by e mail. 4 days later I have still heard nothing. I have dealt with Warners before and had previously good customer service. The current service is appalling . Di Warners want my business or should I go elsewhere???
