Claim misunderstanding

Unfortunately, there was a misunderstanding whilst making a claim. The guy I was dealing with initially was called Adam, who did not fill me with confidence and certainly did not have a “ can do” attitude. After reading the reviews the same name kept coming up again and again and this was, Dane. I decided to give him a call and sure enough with a matter of days my “ misunderstanding” was dealt with swiftly and into a good conclusion. Well done Dane you are everything the reviews say. Thank you .

Great service from Warranty Assist.

Having recently purchased a vehicle which unfortunately required a new part within a matter of weeks I was worried that the warranty may not cover it but following a few conversations with Ryan and Dane who were both very helpful and courteous I am delighted to say that my claim was settled efficiently and fairly - I would highly recommend Warranty Assist !!

Don't bother wasting your money

Don't bother wasting your money, the contract may as well be written on toilet paper, so many get out clauses even though they will tell you the coverage is full when they miss sell it to you.

Misleading policy - most expensive component not paid for

First time claiming from Warranty Assist under the 'Gold' policy. Experienced a drive system failure resulting in a bill of around £700. As the car was fully serviced and the fault was "sudden and unexpected" (not general wear and tear), I expected the bill to be paid without quibble. However, only £160 was offered and this did not include the nearly £300 for the most expensive component. This was on the basis that the flange extension shaft was not covered specifically, despite the policy stating "shafts, (all, including all extension shafts)" are covered. I have had to pay the garage in full to get my car back. I am now in the complaints process. I would not recommend Warranty Assist unless you like to be disappointed.

Dear Christopher,

RE: Approved claim, Non listed component , Not sudden

Thank you for your review. It is important to understand no warranty covers parts not listed.

After 45 days on cover you reported a claim for a noisy driveshaft and flange replacement.

Flanges are not listed on your policy.

We used our discretin to cover your driveshaft replacement even though you reported “ the noise had worsened “ pointing to an ongoing issue.

We must adhere to the terms and conditions of your policy, it is not fair and equitable to other members to cover non listed or excluded parts as they must pay through increased premiums.

A manager will be in touch to discuss your case.

Regards
Gabby

Very personable team

Warranty Assist should provide documentation to its end customers, beyond the car dealerships. I found myself having to pay 50% of a bill that really should have been fully covered. I was fortunate to get the 50% payment thanks to Thornton in repairs presenting my case - very grateful that he was proactive in doing this. Then Dane W came along to offer further payment after understanding my case and my frustrations at the use of T&C’s to escape payment.

I want to reiterate the help and guidance provided by both Dane & Thornton was first class - both are an asset to the company. Without these two I would have submitted a 1 star review.

£570 paid <12 months, no cover, no help. Scam company.

Was sold warranty from dealer, paid £570 for Gold cover, was sold a car with full service history and MOT, car stopped working- no offer of recovery. Although does state in policy they can offer a recovery service and they pay upto £120. Did not offer and paid nothing to cover. Then told was not serviced in year car was bought, ( only just flagged as serviced due in 29 days on vehicle). Both warranty assist rejected claim. No money, no help from expensive warranty and no car. AVOID!!!

Dear Lisa,

RE: Insufficient service history.

Thank you for your review. It is important for readers to understand that no warranty covers vehicles which have not been maintained, which leads to expensive and avoidable repairs.

You logged a claim on your 12 year old Hyundai Santa Fe for the battery warning light.

It transpires the vehicle has not been serviced at the correct manufacturers intervals for multiple years before coming onto cover.

No warranty can cover vehicles which have not been maintained as this is unfair to existing members resulting in increased premiums.

A manager has already been in touch with you to discuss this.

Regards
Gabby
