I was very impressed with the whole process of selling my 60 years of stamp collecting by Auction . They arranged for it to be collected and taken to their offices. A month later I was told how it would be auctioned and how much they would expect to get. In fact, it actually went for more and once all the finances had cleared, they sent a payment through to my bank. The whole process was flawless. All I can say to Warwick & Warwick is thank you very much.

Got my valuation for free, great service, Nice staff, very professional, couldn't ask for more, no idea why they don't have a better raiting here. Will be using in the future.

The valuers at Warwick & Warwick were bang on when they told us which of our submissions would make good money and, importantly, which ones had little more than sentimental value. Overall, we made more from the sale then we hoped, and everyone we spoke to along the way was an absolute pleasure to deal with. Unfailingly professional, but also really friendly. I'd definitely choose them again, and heartily recommend them to others.

I sent them over 1,000 stamps, including Victorian, old Vatican stamps and two old Stanley Gibbons catalogues in excellent condition. They told me that they would do a free valuation and either buy them or auction them for me. I received a letter after a few weeks saying that they valued the lot at £10, and wanted £20 to send them back to me. They sent me a form to sign to instruct them to auction them and give the money to charity.
I telephoned them and was told that the stamp market was not good at right now. They were a bit vague about the charity that the money would go to. I support a couple of charities and if I had known there was no market for stamps I would have donated them myself.

Avoid this auction house don’t do proper appraisals also offer a ridiculous price !!!!

Warwick & Warwick demand the original passport/driving license and proof or residence before allowing the bidding and purchase of gold coins. Sovereigns are still legal tender and can be purchased without risking identity theft if copies of those get into unscrupulous hands. What W&W are doing is not required under paragraph 7.3a of the HMRC regulations and in so doing, they are limiting the openness of the auction to potential higher bids.
They should seek legal advice on their current stance in this matter. Other auction houses do not require or insist on this.

I personally have had a very good experience with them. They have sold my postcard collection and achieved a good price

Don't waste your time, Warwick & Warwick Auctions advertises as providing a free valuation service, but when my colleague enquired they were then informed that the service is not free at all. Misleading information on their website - (our experts can provide free valuations with no-obligation to sell. We offer this free service to all UK residents.) NOT THE CASE AT ALL.

Thank you for a really professional, efficient service, the whole process was very easy.
I'm delighted to have rehomed my various collections, with bringing in some much needed cash along the way.
Highly recommended. Thank you.

Despite sending e-mails and receiving 2 x replies promising to provide the requested information regarding a collection of model Royal Trains, no information has been forthcoming. This lackadaisical attitude prevented me from bidding.
Customer Service sadly lacking

Having read through previous reviews I think some people vastly overestimate the price their items are worth. It is not worth overvaluing the items, and to be fair many lots achieve well more than the estimate they are listed at.
I have bought and sold through Warwick & Warwick for over 20 years and have found nothing but a professional, helpful group of people.
Postage of lots are sensibly priced and well packed and normally sent within seven days of payment.
My only gripe is that viewing should be permitted on the day as it used to be, prior to the auction. Attendance should be re-instated saving us the time to have to travel to view, then again having to collect, this is rather time consuming (But cost effecive depending on purchase size).
Overall, Happy with This Auction House.

I spoke to Warwick & Warwick by phone about a collection of c2500 stamps which dated from the 1840's to the 1960's.
They said that they would only look at them if they felt they were worth more than £250 and asked me to send photos of a selection of the stamps.
I did this a they said the collection was worth reviewing so I took the collection to their offices.
5 weeks later I received a ludicrous valuation of £30 - about 1p per stamp - with an offer to sell them for charity to save me the cost of return postage.
I can't understand how the initial review could have been so radically wrong perhaps you can draw your own conclusions.
Don't waste your time with this company if you need anything valued

I used to buy from them since 2009 with no problems, in their last auction of the 3rd April 2024 they rejected my registration to bid, so I sent them many messages and emailed them, without getting any response, I thought there might be a technical problem in communicating with them so I registered under my name but with a new email, and in the live auction they blocked me from bidding, so I called them to know what the problem is, a lady said a few words about rejecting me from bidding then hang up the phone, I called again and she hang up the phone again, I was really upset so I sent a couple of emails to personnel’s in their auction whom I used to contact them directly before when I was a (Good buyer) and again no response.
I've been buying from a very well known auctions from all over the world for decades and never had this kind of disrespect before, they never bothered themselves even to inform me what the problem is or to sort things out if there were any after all these years of dealing with them, a very unpleasant experience, a very unprofessional customer service I've ever had.
(Updated after your reply).
I have never ever received any reply from your side either by email or a message since the initial decline of my registration, and never been verbally abusive in my phone call, the phone calls were after rejecting me to bid live online, I was just asking politely why, It's a shame that you call me out on something I didn't do just to defend yourselves.

Really unhappy with a service provided by Warwick and Warwick extremely bad communicational skills. They have had the items for over six months told me and my sister that the items were going to be in the 24th of January auction didn't hear anything back from them so after 20 days I called them and ask what has happened with the sale to find out that they had made mistake and the items are now going to be in the 20th of March auction the items have now sold been waiting for payment since then had to call them again today to find out when the payment was going to be.then told me that it's 30 days after the auction what doesn't make much sense because the person who's buying the items only has seven days to pay so that means that they've had the money for 23 days before they issue it. Just been one thing after another with them one massive headache and disappointment

This was the first time that I’d sent things to auction and my experience was good. Warwick & Warwick provided clear information, answered my questions promptly and, at my request, made small adjustments to my auction lot entry. As a result of this and their professional network, my clockwork O gauge train set achieved a very good price at auction.
Thank you.

Hi.
I've asked for a valuation for my collection and they've "evaluate" it at less than scrap value.
They are not experts... they are a fraud.

Absolute shocking company. So wish I had read reviews before I sent my lot of Cigarette cards down to be valued. Apart from the time it took when they eventually came back with a valuation I was shocked. I had them previously valued at upwards of £2750 up here and they came back with £25 , wanting to put them in an auction with the money raised to go to their charity.
Absolute chancers....do not touch if you value your collection. They obviously can't be bothered going through the goods as they would have found a set worth £500+ , either that or the valuer does not know his job , or as I think just at it.
What made this experience worse was that I sent pictures as requested before I sent the box and was told they were definitely of interest.

Further update 2 Jan 24: revised MY rating back to 1 star which I THINK is warranted by the feeble attempt to supress my feedback by W&W. After initially agreeing to put stamps into auction (see 12 Dec update below), they retrospectively demanded that I remove my initial comments or they wouldn't proceed to auction. The stamps are now back with me (arranged at £8.50 EVRI as opposed to their £15 quote!) &, thankfully, this whole sorry episode is now behind me. I have ALL the correspondence & recordings, & not just the selective & retrospective one attached here by W&W. Needless to say, I won't be needing a bargepole any time soon! Be careful, it cost me just under £20 for this wasted experience (carriage to & fro)!
Original comments: Spoke on phone beforehand - told me than just one of my stamps was probably worth £150. Sent the album in. Offer (for ALL the stamps)? £80! Promised to send back the album but still waiting for an "estimate" (Parcelforce) to return.
12 Dc 23: REVISED to 3 star (from 1 star) * after some positive interface with W&W. My original comments/rating were based upon info from W&W to hand at the time, which DID NOT include telling me about the replica. After learning that I've subsequently agreed to let W&W auction the remainder of the collection at the estimated valuation. I'll review whether a further revision, up/down, is merited after the eventual auction.

Avoid these people like the plague they pay peanuts for coins yes a silver crown booked at £200 they offer about£50 pounds then put it in their auction for a massive profit all they do is come up with excuses.they did this with my other coins rare ones about a third of the going price. I am annoyed it cost me petrol and postage to get the coins back. People can check the true value of their items . I do not care how long they have been in business they need to go Mr Martin Lee avoid at all costs
