I sent in a watch with a slightly misaligned bezel and screw down crown issue. I asked them to address both in my instructions. They fixed the screw down crown but did not realign the bezel. When I emailed to ask about the bezel, they sent an insulting message implying that I don't know what a diver's bezel is for. Perhaps they didn't notice the misalignment, since it was small (perhaps 1/2mm or less). But follow-up emails went unanswered and they sent the watch back with the job only half done. Now I have to find another watchmaker to remove and realign the bezel.

The guys Christian Johannes and Ray offer a fantastic personal service with professional friendly help when asked for. Prices are fair and competitive. I would highly recommend them without a doubt

I bought a vintage Rolex that looked very nice, condition wise, but I suspected had some issues - the timekeeping was quite poor (fast) and the hour hand pointing upwards a bit too much.
I sent it away, had good communications about its arrival, progress, parts required and testing etc. - it arrived back cosmetically clean, correct and undamaged, with immaculate timekeeping over the week I have worn it, and very little variation between positions.
Great accuracy in vintage watches is not the be-all and end-all, but it's a very big 'nice to have', especially if the watch has 'chronometer' on the dial, and I couldn't be happier that my hopes for the watch have come to fruition thanks to the care it received at The Watchguy workshop.

I first contacted WatchGuy after reading one of their long detailed reviews on the repair of the very same model of watch I needed repaired. This gave me confidence that they knew what they were doing. I contacted them with the details of the watch to confirm their happiness to take a look at it. Christian confirmed it was of interest to them and we arranged to get it to them to do an assessment. It was confirmed the issue was a broken balance staff, not something I wanted to hear for a military watch that was over 50 years old. But they set about tracking a replacement down and found one in Sweden. Job tracking allowed me to see the current repair progress status, a truly exciting journey. During the fitting and repair of the balance staff, there was also a broken ruby bearing to be replaced.
All researched done and returned in a little over a month. Imagine my delight as I opened the package not only wonderfully packaged, but complete with a complimentary WatchGuy watch case.
Christian, I cannot thank you and your team enough for returning to working use, my late Dad’s RN Nuclear Submariners watch to working handsome use. It is now the pride of my watch collection.

I recently sent my vintage Omega Speedmaster for repair. To say that I am happy is a vast understatement. They have the best communication as well as a website where you can follow the repairs via photos which they upload. I was able to add to my work order, a re luming of the dial which was done masterfully. Also received the watch back in about a month which would NOT have happened with any other master watch repair that I’m aware of. These gentlemen come with my highest recommendation.

I sent in a vintage Rolex lady datejust on recommendation. The watch was old and didn’t work properly. Additionally my husband had taken the watch apart to try to mend it as the face had slipped. He put the watch back together and I sent it off to the watch guy. I wasn’t expecting good news, and I didn’t get it, with what I considered to be a fairly honest appraisal of its faults and what it would cost to bring it back to life from Ray. What I didn’t expect, however, was the watch was returned with missing parts (the date dial) and a cracked face. It didn’t go into the service in this condition. And when I raised this with them by email, owner Christian was extremely dismissive, made me out to be a liar “of course you’d say the face wasn’t cracked”- it really wasn’t- and was generally rude and dismissive- realising reconditioning was hopeless I offered them the watch for spare parts, as previously ray had had told me parts for this make were hard to find. “We don’t want your watch” I was told.
I would think twice about doing business with valuables online and by post in the future. My watch had previously been valued at £1000. Now, totally worthless.
Christian is now saying I am trying to defraud and blackmail him (I have literally asked for nothing except an explanation).
Now he’s suggesting you read my other reviews- of which they are only 4 and all moved by terrible service. Feel free to read my other reviews on Google and profile on LinkedIn for other insights into my character 🙄

Exceptional service from Ray, Christian and the team. A very skilled bunch of watchmasters coupled with a great customer experience. From dropping the watch off to them and then having it shipped back, I knew my beloved Seamaster was in safe hands. The photographs showing the different stages of disassembly (and showing the broken parts), cleaning, reassembly, testing (including pressure testing) was amazing. My watch is buttery smooth again! I will not be going anywhere else in future. Can't recommend enough.

This is the first time I have had a watch serviced, the watch guy was recommended by someone I work with. I can't tell you how overwhelmed I am with the level of communication and customer service. Having my loved watch cherished and looked after like this was just amazing. I can't recommend these people highly enough. Many thanks for treating my watch so well.

I second what everyone has said on here about the Watchguy company and services they provide. My automatic watch had packed up and I was quoted very reasonable prices for a service of my and parts for my particular watch, where others weren't as close. From initial contact through the process, everything was efficient and timely. The updates of pictures, the step by step process, not only provides trust and reassurance but even more on an interest in your watch than before. Great turn around time and all packaged back up in a lovely compact Watchguy carry case which is genuinely useful for traveling. Will happily use again and very much recommended.

I highly recommend The Watch Guy. They are great at keeping you updated on the progress of their work on your watch. And the quality of their work is extremely good. After Johannes finished with my 50 year old Omega Geneve, it's actually keeping perfect time. The holy grail of an automatic watch. Many thanks.

This was my 2nd experience with the Watch Guy and yet again they exceeded all expectations that I had. It's quite rare these days to receive the level of service that a company like this offers. Their attention to detail is on another level, and it's clear to see just how passionate they are about what they do. For the latest job I sent in my dad's trusty Longines watch that he's worn daily since the 60s. Johannes did an amazing job with the service and delicate clearing of the watch. He then went the extra mile to source some particularly hard to find parts in order to fix the automatic. My dad and I both very happy and grateful for the service received. Thank you guys!

I sent my father's 63 year old Movado Kingmatic to the Watchguy at the recommendation of my son, who'd had an excellent experience with them. I was not disappointed. Watchguy is detail-oriented, precise and does superb work with a short turnaround. Every step of the repair was documented with multiple photographs. Watchguy was even able to source a NOS part that was needed, quite cheaply, and from Australia! Watchguy also graciously accepted the watch for a follow-up timekeeping adjustment, at no charge. Most highly recommended.

Johannes worked on my late 1950s Omega Seamaster. From the outset, even before receiving it, he was responsive to any questions I had and clear in his replies. Once the watch had arrived I received an automated email that it had been booked in and then once the work began a detailed catalogue of photos was added to my tracking page (as well as the website).
To have this level of detail and cataloguing from a service is very useful, and serves as excellent documentary evidence of work carried out.
The watch then went through stringent testing and was promptly shipped back after payment. I would not hesitate to use Watch Guy again and wholeheartedly recommend their services.

I recently inherited my late grandfather's Heuer Autavia, which as far as I can remember for the past 20+ years, never worked. It was beaten up, missing some parts, and I didn't have much hope of seeing it work again. After a specialist, and a local expert didn't want to touch it I all but gave up. I contacted Christian after finding the company online and he took it in no trouble. Serviced it, replaced missing parts, saved what he could, and to my request kept all the bumps and scrapes (I know that expensive watches need love but sentimental value took over for me).
There was a slight issue with the hands getting caught, but under warranty, he took it back and returned it to me in days, it has been working perfectly since.
I recommend them to anyone looking to have work done and have no trouble coming back to them with any watch if needs be!
I can never thank them enough for bringing the watch back to life and allowing me to carry the memory of a great man with me.

I can't say but how pleased about how brilliant these people are. They serviced a rather rare and lovely Smiths 18J and made it even more wonderful. That was easy compared with the tired and worn JLC Futurematic which has been brought back to life.

Just had my Seiko Bellmatic serviced by the WatchGuy, Ray was the man, and I cannot praise them/him enough for the work he did. The watch was an 18th birthday present from my parents, and had started to play up a bit, so I thought after 47 years it deserved some TLC, the whole experience was really easy, if you have patience, the watch gets done in order, the info you receive is brilliant, pictures and messages saying what’s been done and what’s needed. A full breakdown of the charges is on there as well. And if you have any questions they are great at answering emails. I would have no problem recommending these guys to anyone.

I've had my Omega Seamaster serviced only by Omega previously and after the reviews, decided to give the team at Watchguy a try.
From the start to the end, I knew exactly what was going on with my watch, thanks to the online tracking system and clear emails.
More to the point, the watch was actually serviced better than it was even with Omega themselves. The watch holds time better and I couldn't be happier with the result.

1st rate service. Communication throughout the process including good photographs. My 2010 Zenith 680 that I bought from a 'professional' quality luxury watch seller was disappointingly running poorly after just a few weeks of ownership. The Watchguy gave it a full service and kept me informed every step of the way. The watch now runs as if new, like it should.
I have no hesitation in recommending Watchguy to anyone who is in need of a quality watch repair service.
