Pooor update 2020, we can only download 2 story. Not everybody has free internet at home, the first at least better we could download many books at lnce

I guess Wattpad just ruined itself by this limited offline reading thing. This app was a safe haven for amateur writers and readers. Now it's a safe haven for capitalist pigs who just wants to advertise. I used to love Wattpad. Now I can just go to kindle and get a far better service.
My advice? Just uninstall Wattpad. Why even bother reading there anymore? Inkit is a far better choice than this hellhole.
What happened to you Wattpad? Are you that greedy for money?

Hi,I'm a writer/author/novelist on wattpad,I find wattpad as good place to write and publish my work.

Wattpad isn't that bad,as people claim in social medias and here.To say,maybe your wattpad is old wattpad app,which app is similar to wattpad out there can be supportive like wattpad?

So I advice you,to wait be patiences.Patience,talent and hard work pays in the end.

It used to be amazing app with opportunities for new writers or teenagers. Now there is at least 2 adds after every chapter. Fine I understand giving us a ad but I hate how there is also one in the chapter I'm reading. I'm happy authors are getting a chance to get paid but instead of forcing it on them , put a donation choice so that people can give money if they think they deserve it. This is a good idea because many people using this app don't have enough money to pay a fixed amount every month. Also, Wattpad premium is rubbish and a stupid way for wattpad to get rich, not beneficial for the readers or the authors. The only real benefits are being able to make your home page look pretty and no ads.The most ridiculous thing they've done is only let us have 2 books offline. It's really disappointing because I loved this app but know me and many other readers are looking for better alternatives.

Found two of my stories ripped off from my web site by an 'author' with to many stories to be real on such a site.

They did remove them immediately when I complained by the way without a reply or an apology.

so many ads yet only a few writers are paid how on earth is that fair, I've been writing on wattpad for a long time, My books are doing extremely well and I do it all for free but there are so many ridiculous ads I feel bad for my readers. Ive rejected so many other platforms that are willing to pay me to transfer my work onto their platforms, I just might take up their offers now I don't feel that as writers our work is credited as it should.

I never thought I would rate Wattpad a one star it's always been the best app ever for me but lately it deserve only one star not only because I have to pay for everything but also because of the limited offline stories. I could understand about the ads after a chapter but not the limited offline story or the ads at the bottom of the screen in a chapter. I could watch millions of ads after a chapter but not IN the chapter.. Wattpad I'm so upset to hear all negative comments on the new updates but sorry to say you deserved it. You've always been the best for me. Hope you can change back to the way you were before. I'm writing to you as if you are a person
I loved you that much.

I've been using wattpad since 2013 and I recently deleted the app for space. An app that meant so much to me and literally helped shape my high school/ middle school self was deleted without hesitation. That just goes to show how I feel about it now. It honestly has gotten progressively worse. It started with the ads in between chapters and it has escalated into a whole mess. Some of the features you have to go premium to use don't are absurd. And it really seems like Wattpad is taking advantage. The fact of the matter is that most of their content that is attracting new users are produced by old USERS for FREE. Only a hand full of authors' work is paid so I don't understand the huge push for premium because that only means less content on the app as more and more people get upset and drop it. It seems like in order to make money they were willing to completely disregard their loyal, OG users and destroy their site in the long run. Its honestly sad.

I absolutely hate the new update. I loved that they had an anime section but now they don’t, and sometimes I found anime’s that I have not heard of so I would look them up and get into the actual anime, but now I can’t. AND I ABSOLUTELY HATE THAT MY HOME PAGE IS JUST FILLED WITH BOOKS THAT I HAVE TO PAY FOR like come on.

I've been on Wattpad since 2014 and I'm really disappointed with how the app has changed. At first, it was the app to use if you wanted to read books from your friends and authors around the world, now everything is based on how much you are willing to pay. I live in an area where the internet isn't the best so I would download a bunch of novels to read. I can't do that anymore as the offline limit is now 2 novels and if you want unlimited you have to pay for it. We had the option for a dark screen while reading, now you have to pay for it. If it's not the endless advertisements when you're reading it's something else. I think I'm going to move to a different app. I recommended this app to so many of my friends and they all agree that the changes in the app have turned them off using it. I loved this app, and now I have to say goodbye.

Really unhappy with the service I'm receiving (or lack thereof) from Wattpad. My account was impersonated and someone used my email address to start a Wattpad account. I've been trying to delete it and have mailed Wattpad but am receiving no response. Their help Q&A doesn't provide sufficient instructions as to how to cancel or close your account, so it's impossible to actually delete it!

Wattpad would be better if theybrought back unlimited offline stories for all users!

I can't stand the new Wattpad and sadly will be deleting it. I have to pay now to read offline, my favorite stories that I would re-read are no longer available. I gotta pay for stories. Wattpad is bad now and sad to say, I must break up with it after a nice run of 5 years. Bye Wattpad, R.I.P

Wattpad is honestly the best platform for writing and reading. Not only is it endless stories about the fandoms and topics that you love, but it teaches you at the same time. If you’re there to write, there are thousands and thousands of stories, creators and authors that are more than willing to help you advance your writing skills.

I've been using Wattpad since 2014 and I've learned so much. I've written thousands of unpublished drafts over the six years that I've been on it and It's so useful. The creators and authors on this platform are very active and always very willing to help, read, and chat about all of your favorite topics, stories, fandoms, and creators.

I highly HIGHLY recommend Wattpad to anyone over the age of 12.

I have to say Wattpad has become a terrible place since the forums went. It's barren and lonely.
I know authors who had brilliant books, but all they ever got was hate and bad reviews by someone who couldn't string a sentence together. One author got so much hate and bullying, that they left and nearly didn't come back.
The Wattys are a joke. It's always the people who have a cliche and cringy books that get awards and none of the hard working authors and their original story.

Really upsetting that I have to pay just to read offline.i have so many books and I'm a fast reader, so I tend to hop around before I finish a finish a book so that I have something to keep myself busy with and still have reading material. But now I'm limited to 2 offline stories and, it ain't it. Why would anyone pay just to read offline? What happened to the free wattpad that everyone comes to? I understand that they may need the money and all, but is putting a price to offline reading necessary?

I've been using wattpad for a few years and I didn't mind the random ads that popped up as long as I was able to read the books in my library free and offline, but with the latest update, not only am I only able to read 2 books, I needed to delete one of the books I'm reading offline if I wanted to read a different book....

It used to be free where I could go and read when I had my phone disconnected and still be able to enjoy but now? I have to pay to read ? What the heck I'm a freshman I have no money I ain't gonna be using Wattpad until it changes back

but i come from a small country known as singapore but at the Demographics (if you write a book) singapore isn't there

Around 2014 was when I started using the app and it was great. The app was free which I believe is what drew in so many young readers and writers. You could just express yourself. Years later, now it's turned into a work place. So many books cost money and its bothersome for two reasons. 1. It was orignally free and that was part of their brand and 2. Majority of these books are the same. They're clichè. So it's difficult to find an actual good book so by paying to test out the book, it's just not fair. I stopped reading on wattpad because of this.
