My Eriba SuperPuck transformed, in just two hours!

My Eriba SuperPuck roof was letting water in after 25 years, on site near Lewes, South Downs. Searching for a local mobile repairer I found Wayfarer just 16 miles away from the site.

Lawrence came very punctually, despite the pouring rain. Hee was friendly and professional, clearly very knowledgeable and versatile. Deciding prudently that the waterproofing should wait for dryer weather he advised me to change the 'van's levels (shedding the trapped water away from the leak), pointed out to me the site of the problem, changed my Propane regulator and gas bottle hose, checked and brought into use the gas hob rings, and mended a broken nut in the Gas Heater (which was causing a gas leak). He also had a look at the 12v electrics, finding the problem to be a corroded connector box under the chassis, AND re-fitted one tail light fitting, replacing the bulb and checking the towing electrics.

For all the above I was charged 2 hours, and nothing for his travel time. Believe me, I was delighted!

Today in the warmer weather Lawrence has cleaned out and re-finished with Sika 512 Caravan Sealant the leaking guttering, benching it to avoid future problems. He replaced the corroded connector box, connected the new solar panel to the leisure battery clips, and confirmed that the battery was charging and the 12v electrics fully operational. Just 2 1/2 hours (hard) work, and again I am delighted.

I can wholeheartedly recommend Wayfarer Caravan Services, and will - despite living 200 miles away - use them again whenever possible. So good to be able to rely on a true expert!

Motorhome pre-purchase inspection and report.

My wife and I found a motorhome for sale privately of the type that we wanted, but it was over 500 miles away. Previously, we had travelled a similar distance to view a different motorhome, but we felt it was badly mis-represented and a 22 hours journey that was a waste of time and money.

This time, we searched the net to look for a professional service that could inspect the Motorhome for us, thinking that it might be a service that exists. We didn't want Motorhome dealers involved as we felt, perhaps unfairly, but based on previous experience, that we could not be entireley sure of their motivation as many are cash buyers of used motorhomes, so we looked for a smaller independent company.

We struck gold with Wayfarer, who were only 20 miles away from the seller and we received a quick and friendly response. Wayfarer are described on their web site as repairers and maintainers of Caravans, but as we had hoped, are also very experienced in all aspects of Motorhomes. They clarified averything that we asked and more, then were happy to liase directly with the seller on the timing of a suitable inspection. Everything went exactly to schedule and we received a very detailed report by e-mail within a couple of hours of the inspection time that was confirmed by post, along with a pro-active telephone call to explain and discuss the findings that included specialist tests and observations, some that we would never have thought of and useful information that we will need in the future.. A wide range of photographs were also provided and any issues were clearly shown and easy to understand.
We really felt that we had a friend who was looking after our interests on what is for us a very major purchase, while being very professional, unbaised and thorough. Our seller, who was also very helpful and considerate, appears to have been very happy with the attentive and professional manner that they experienced from Wayfarer.

Absolutely excellent value and service that we are happy to recommend to anyone for repairs, inspections or just friendly advice. This is how we feel that business should be done and we just wish they were closer for future maintenance work.

As a result, despite the challenges of distance, we have bought our new motorhome with confidence and are looking forward to many happy adventures.
