I have been shopping at the Weis market…bad experience

I have been shopping at the Weis market in Arbutus, Md for over 8 years now. Customer Service isn't really good. Not too friendly. The Deli's Deviled Eggs are just plain. They're Fresh Produce in containers smell and taste like Perfume. It's disgusting. Fresh Fruit should NOT taste like perfume. They let kids in there that are screaming the whole time you're in there. The Bakery assistant is Alway's in the back laughing so hard you can hear her all through the store. Music is horrible. so loud you can't think straight, and the verses just keep repeating themselves. Horrible Weis Where I live.

This Weis has the Nicest employees I've ever encountered at any Weis location

On May 20, 2026 I visited the Weis market at 8115 Ritchie Hwy in Pasadena Maryland.
Customer service in this store is beyond measure. Everyone was friendly ,helpful, and polite.
These employees were genuinely friendly...not just an act..because they have to.Especially the young lady in GBMC.
Also the store was neat and clean. Product was plentiful and easy to find...I found things that I didn't know Weis even sold.
Thank you for that experience..!

Horrendous Customer Service

Weis has the worst customer service I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Their pharmacy is a nightmare to deal with as their app and website never work properly.

Calling the support number results in a voice mailbox that nobody appears to monitor or respond to. If you go to general customer service, you end up with rude representatives - including their "support lead" - who speak to you in a condescending manner and refuse to assist at all.

DO NOT bother with Weis if you're trying to have a pleasant shopping experience or any assistance if customer service is necessary.

This will make you dairy intolerant

My daughter and I stopped by the gilbertsville store on our way home to pickup some items. Couldn't find the non alcoholic beer. I asked the young man up front where it's location was. He told that Weis only carries that at the stores that sell alcoholic beverages. Strange my brother just got some here last week.
Went to the dairy department to look at shredded cheese, nothing matched tags and the dates were either out or getting ready to expire . The yogurt section was worse. Someone is going to end up getting sick. Mold on shelves. Disgusting

I was food shopping at Weis Markets

I was food shopping at Weis Markets, and along with groceries, also purchased Mucinex. The attendant took my drivers license instead of simply my date of birth (I'm 73), and then the register directed her to have me pay at another station. I do not shop at Weis to have my time wasted, be treated like a drug dealer looking to cook drugs, or be interrogated and will likely take my business elsewhere if this food chain now views customers as criminals!

In store shopping should be easy

Now there are three ways to get coupons, store cards don’t work for in store advertised sales. You will loose many older shoppers over pennies. I won’t go back after I feel like I got screwed out of 3 dollars. I called customer service and was told sorry to hear about my opinion.I will shop Saubles for now on, that’s my opinion.

Cookie mix lies

I ordered some cookie mix from Weis using Amazon. The order was confirmed and then cancelled the next day with no explanation. I was told to reorder and the item was out of stock.

I tried to reorder later, and the product was shown in stock, and then it wasn't. I declined a substitution, which seems to be key. Without the option to substitute to a flavor, they can't get over on selling something they don't have.

I went to the Weis in Mount Pocono

I went to the Weis in Mount Pocono. Most of the produce rotted in days; lettuce, onions, cumcumbers. Store is way overpriced. Bought egg salad at the deli which had so much dill it was way overpowering. Attempted to get a digital card and it took almost 15 minutes for them to figure it out. Shoprite in Mount Pocono is way better.

WEIS Markets is a family-owned company…

WEIS Markets is a family-owned company with good customer service in Sunbury, PA. My store is in Dover, PA. They pay attention to the customer. Neat displays and always a clean floor. If you have a problem, talk to the manager of your store and they will offer a solution. Chris Colley in the produce dept is a great representative of customer service and will help you with your questions.

Target the elderly with confusing sale policies

I have shopped at Weis for 20 years. They have a consistent pattern of putting sale tags over wrong items, not taking expired sales tags down, putting fine print is font so small that you can't read it (must buy 4 items to get sale price, etc). Virtually every visit an item rings up incorrectly and I must go to customer service. This appears to be targeted to older shoppers who try to get a good deal, but get confused by the pricing policy and the register tape that has incorrect prices listed in various places. BE CAREFUL if you are trying to use offers/sales to save a few dollars, you WON'T see the savings at the register.
