Really bad experience with this company. Having bought 2 different welders from them previously and other bits I figured stick with them. However, that was a huge mistake. I rang ( on the friday ) to check they had stock of the welder and bits I needed for a job on following tuesday afternoon They confirmed they did so I put the order in and paid extra for it to be delivered on the tuesday. No confirmation email for dispatch on monday so tuesday morning I rang. They told me there was no stock ( even though there was ) and that I would have to wait until end of the week. So, I cancelled my order. I had to wait over a week for my refund of my my deposit. meanwhile, on the thursday I had an email from the courier saying my stuff was out for delivery. I rang WSD to cancel the delivery but the courier still delivered the bits and pieces I bought with the welder wire etc. 2 boxes of the 3 shipped. So, WSD arranged for the stuff to be collected, more fun as I had to get someone to wait here for them to arrive the following week. Then on the friday, the welder itself arrived minus the actual trigger etc and spares i had bought. So why doesn't everything ship at same time ???? This company have major flaws in their ordering / dispatch systems. once again I had to contact them for extra return labels. madness. anyway. courier booked to collect between 8am and 9.30 am the following tuesday. they then emailed me to say that the time was extended to about 11am. Courier finally turned up at about 3.30pm !!! Refund went into my accout about 10 days after purchase. To top it all off, they told me that they did in fact have the welder ins tock but the office had processed the order to the dispatch team . and wait for it....... I got an apology. GREAT. I lost my new customer and WSD have lost me as a customer. Mistakes are made but it seems every one of them possible was made in my direction. They would get zero stars but for the fact that the ladies in the office, Rachel and Emily actually did their jobs properly and were polite and helpful . Make your own mind up as to whether or not you use them but be prepared, I wasn't. And having just read their reply, I can now say that I have had several apologies and a sincere apology, none of which gets my customer back or the money I lost from the job. Mistakes happen, read other feedback, I'm not the only one, companies would carry on with blinkers on if it wasn't for feedback systems. sort out the problems, look after customers that spend money then word of mouth will get you more customers instead of relentless google spends,

I purchased two welders helmets from the Welding Supplies Direct Website. Items were competitively priced. Delivery took approx 10days which is a little slower than most vendors achieve. However, this may be due to the courier. Customer service were very helpful and friendly when I called to check on the status of the order.

Mig wire is good and a good fast delivery but the spool was broken but doesn't seem to affect the performance.

Bought mig welder liner of Google where DWS advertised free delivery but charged £7.50 on my order.The order took aweek to arrive then I queried free delivery as advertised? DWS agreed free delivery was advertised on Google and agreed to recompense me.It took another phonecall and over 12days to get the refund.
