Wells Fargo says they provide an extra day grace period should your account become overdrawn, however they will claim any deposit you make prior to the cut off time came too late. Luckily I had proof... See more

What happened to good service?
I've been banking with Wells Fargo since the Wachovia merger. Was with Wachovia for years also. It's very sad to see the bank deteriorate. They closed the branch by my house on south monroe st. (Tallahassee FL), closed the atm at the Gate gas station on capital circle and Blairstone. Now the only locations on the Southside is an atm on FAMU campus and an atm at the piggly wiggly plaza that always has homeless people next to it. They really weren't thinking of the customers when they made these decisions. This will most likely be my last year banking with these guys

Horrible bank it's been a month since I ordered my new debit card I did not receive until now. I can't even cash my money they're saying that my name needs to be updated since I change my ID name and there's no consideration for that my daughter runs out of diapers. Horrible! Horrible!
Wells Fargo Promises made... Never kept just promises made
Wells Fargo is famous for telling you to call a number to a telephone where if they feel like answering it they while 1/2 an hour " verifying you " after all of that they will do one of two things
1 Lie to you about what services they will provide you and charge you for while never actually doing it. Or
2. They will try to prevent you from access to your own account.
Think of Wells Fargo as a bankers charity because you may never see your account again
$1,000.00 stolen out of my account at Wells Fargo ATM. Wells Fargo does nothing. Steer clear.
I reported fraud to Wells Fargo, where $1,000.00 was wrongly taken out of my account, and they took their weeks to "look into" it, twice, and denied my claim both times. I informed them of the problem within about an hour, and they took weeks to do nothing, and then weeks again to do nothing again. Wells Fargo is not worth the time of day for anyone. Do not use them under any circumstances (or their ATMs), and if you have an account with them I suggest you carefully open another account at a reputable firm and get rid of your account with them when you can. I know it's a pain but I should have done this years ago when my account with Wachovia become a Wells Fargo account because Wells Fargo bought them out. Not only did Wells Fargo get rid of my free checking, they then had all of those issues and got in trouble for creating a lot of fake accounts under customers' names, and they haven't learned their lesson. My story is long but simple. Someone took $1,000 out of my account at an ATM without my permission, they stole my money, and Wells Fargo, with their billions, is doing nothing. Steer clear. Here's my story:
Someone stole the money, and then I reported the fraud to Wells Fargo:
I'd like to report fraud that happened to me at an ATM outside my local bank. The bank where this occurred is: Wells Fargo Bank 2099 S Queen St York, PA 17403 Here's what happened: This was theft of $1,000 at a Wells Fargo Bank ATM. There was a large group of people at the bank. I tried to deposit using my tap debit card at the ATM that was outside the bank on 11/23/2024 at 10:17 am. The ATM was full or something so I couldn't deposit a check like I wanted to. I left the ATM, I think without waiting for my account to close out. At this point I went into the bank to deposit. Someone, not an employee, was watching me and there were lots of people in there. I made my deposit at the counter. When I was in there, I believe someone jumped up to the ATM which was outside and took $1,000 out of my account, because $1,000 was taken out of my account at 10:17 am based on an email I received from the bank but I didn't notice that I received it for about 20-30 minutes. I called Wells Fargo two times about the fraud but they've said they are dropping the case both times, with no logical reason. I did the first fraud complaint within about an hour of this happening. Here's what they should do: Wells Fargo should give the $1,000.00 back to me, since they have zero fraud liability policies. They should also look at the video of the ATM to find out who did this and report it to police so they can catch the criminals.
After this first set of two denials I disputed it with Wells Fargo and also reported it to the police, which I thought Wells Fargo would have done. Weeks later and they denied me again through their "Executive Office". Wells Fargo is worthless. Here is my response to them in response to their denial:
The response to my complaint is completely inadequate. Multiple times I explained how everything they said could be true, and still $1,000.00 could have been taken out of my account fraudulently. Yes, my account may have been unlocked, but just because a door is unlocked at my house by accident, it doesn't mean that someone coming into my house and taking $1,000.00 out of my kitchen drawer after they simply say, "This is my house and my money", is actually not fraud and theft. Wells Fargo needs to make good on their zero fraud liability and they also need to give me $1,000.00 back that was taken from me, and they need to admit their mistake and fix their ATM system that gives no indication of whether an account is still opened or closed when I am finished using it, particularly when using the "tap" feature. At least when I stick my card in they warn me with a beep to take my card. No such thing exists with the "tap" feature, and I explained this to them but they didn't seem to think it had any relevance. Their lack of understanding and their ineptitude lead me to recommend that no one give Wells Fargo any of their business. I have opened a new account somewhere else. Sadly Wachovia was ok, where I originally got my account, but when Wells Fargo took over they got rid of my free checking quickly, with stipulations for it to be free. I should have taken that as my queue there and then to leave Wells Fargo, but sadly, I didn't. Wells Fargo is not customer focused, they are only self and profit focused. Avoid them at all costs. I even asked someone lower down if it is common for escalated cases like mine to be resolved... and someone at Wells Fargo said, no, usually they are still denied when escalated like mine! So why even leave me hanging? Just close the case and lose your customer faster. Save us both time, money, and effort. Save the penny today, Wells Fargo, and go out of business tomorrow. That's what Wells Fargo deserves.
Terrible customer service, WF downhill
Been with WF for about 2 decades….Tried to make a purchase with my Active Cash Visa card from Wells Fargo…they blocked it for fraud, I went through all the security protocols, sent them my ID to verify, and they said it would clear for a purchase. Tried it again, blocked my account and I called fraud prevention again….spoke to the rudest and absolutely disrespectful representatives….they then proceed to tell me “We can’t help you go into a branch.” I asked why? Her response….”I just told you, go to a branch.” Card is locked, no representatives would help along with them being rude as I have ever dealt with. Absolutely disgusting experience as if they are doing me a favor with me spending my money with them….that account and card will sit idle forever. I would never ever do business with such a poor company ever again. Pathetic what Wells Fargo turned in to.

This review addresses Wells Fargo’s overall customer service and security protocols.
On Saturday, January 4, 2025, I received an email at 3:11 PM stating that my account had been frozen due to suspicious activity. Along with being locked out of online banking, I was instructed to contact the fraud department. Upon calling, I completed voice authentication and provided all requested information, including my full name, Social Security number, phone number, and the authorization code sent via text message. Despite complying with every step to verify my identity, I spent over 90 minutes on the phone and was told repeatedly that my identity could not be confirmed.
The representatives informed me that I would need to visit a branch in person on Monday to resolve the issue, leaving me without access to my money or account until then. In my opinion, this is entirely unacceptable. Fortunately, I had no immediate plans requiring access to my funds, but had I been traveling or needed money urgently, this situation would have been disastrous.
While I understand the need for security protocols, I had provided all the requested information to verify my identity. This is the second time in 12 months that such an issue has occurred with Wells Fargo. Their authentication system is flawed, and their inability to assist customers over the phone, even when all questions are answered correctly, is deeply concerning.
As a result of this experience, I plan to close all my accounts with Wells Fargo on Monday. This level of service and security is unacceptable for any financial institution.
Wells Fargo exploits trust
Wells Fargo epitomizes the intersection of both deceit and dysfunction. My ongoing experience with them has been appalling—untrustworthy practices, outright theft, and a complete disregard for their customers. This is the same bank that’s been embroiled in scandal after scandal, from creating millions of fake accounts to defrauding their own clients. If you're considering banking with them, run in the opposite direction. Wells Fargo doesn’t just mismanage money; they exploit trust. Stay far, far away.
THE ABSOLUTE WORST BANKING EXPERIENCE I…
THE ABSOLUTE WORST BANKING EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD IN 47 YEARS. I was given a cashiers check by one of WFs members for an item they bough from me. The check ended up being to large for an ATM to accept, but since I had already signed it WF would not: 1. reissue the check so I could deposit in a physical branch, 2. They wouldn't cash the check themselves since they can see the funds were still in the account, 3. They wouldn't hold the check for a week to prove it had not already been cashed. They can clearly see the money still in the hold account and said 90 days had to pass for the check to be voided and reissued. what a horrible bank.

After 17 years of banking with Wells Fargo they decided to make a ‘business decision’ to close my checking, saving and credit card account (which they did not notify me of). Very disappointing.
I’ve been with the bank for almost a…
I’ve been with the bank for almost a year and worst customer service I’ve ever seen. They tell you the the account your on can’t go in the negative I wanted it that way and low behold I had no funds available until Friday when I got paid and deposited my check well guess what the morons went and paid transition causing my account to go negative and look hate of my check to cover what the iditots paid with out my permission. Then I had gotten a new phone number and went on my online banking and charged the old one to my current one and was told that my phone hadn’t been verified in the system I had to go visit a branch to get access but allowed a number that was not even mine access to alerts and push notifications to my account. Then I decided since I was seeing wired logins I’d change my username and password and tighten up my security alerts on the account and all was good went to log back in and notice they blocked my online access so I called up customer service to be informed that I’d have to go into a branch to verify my identity how can you get to a branch when the iditots are only there until 5:00 and no weekend hrs. My advice to anyone run awhile you can and DON’T OPEN AN ACCOUNT they are a real joke and need to be closed down.
Credit card scam
WellsFargo forced me into applying for a credit card. A month later, agent pushed me to apply for another credit card. The second card was denied - reason being the first card was issued only a month ago. But the application dented my credit score. The agent never warned me that WellsFargo credit section only looks at previous WellsFargo credit card history in order to issue a new card. In my case, I did have another wellsFargo credit card.
I filed a complaint - an agent called me and left a message. I call back that number and get message agent not available and number does not support messages.
Waste of time banking with WellsFargo. Every department cheats. I have had bad experience with their mortgage dept, investment banking dept and now credit card department.
They do make a show of handing complaint to an ombudsman. But their ombudsman argues the bank is right even if they are clearly legally wrong.
Worst service ever
Worst service ever. The staff in my branch are great that's why 1 star.
Customer wrote a check for his fleet repairs. I Deposited the checks. On Dec 14 and the funds won't be ready until the 26th Dec. My customer and I looked. Wellsfargo had already taken money out of his account . It shows Deposited on my end but not accessible . I called customer service and they said they were holding it to prevent fraud. So basically accusing me of fraud in front of my customer . Thanks for ruining Christmas. Will be closing the account once the funds are released .
World's Worst Bank
World's Worst Bank. Just moved to Florida, got a job driving a Limo for a company that pays with Wells Fargo checks. Went to Wells Fargo to cash my first checks since I don't have a bank account here yet, and they wanted to charge me $7.50 per check to cash checks from their bank. And when I kindly argued that the checks are from their bank, she smugly told me "Doesn't matter, $7.50 per check. And it's going up to $10." Absolute rip-off, should be criminal. I will NEVER bank with Wells Fargo, like ever. Anywhere, or if they were the last bank on earth. So typical, big greedy mega-bank. Just awful.
FRAUDULENT fraud claim
FRAUDULENT fraud claim. Wells Fargo seems to be making money from not returning monies that were compromised and repaid to the fraudsters, WITHOUT
noting the difference in the amount being repaid, and also expecting add'l interest for the repayment as well. I was frauded 15,000 gave back 14,120 and wells fargo should be giving me back $880.00 but have rolled it into my line of credit for a total of 15,000 with interest as well. 3K missing from my savings as well, which should be insured by FDIC. and they aren't the least concerned. No worries, I can repay my own savings account with interest for my own MONEY. OF COURSE WHAT A SCAM!!!
I have account with Wells Fargo since…
I have account with Wells Fargo since 2007. When I opened the account I had green card. Couple of days ago (Friday evening) my father went to deposit money to our shared account and they told him that if I won't update my citizenship status, they might suspend our account. I went to the closest branch at 5 pm. I was told that I need to bring my passport to update my status. since it was end of the day, they told me to bring it next week.
Today, I tried to send some money from my account and I realized they blocked my account!! I contacted their agent and they told me they cannot unblock my account until I go to their branch in person!
I am an employee and all of my payments go through my Wells Fargo account. It is very disrespectful and not acceptable to do so from them. I want to fill a complains agains them if possible

Witness tampering
Where do I start? Wells Fargo participated in predatory lending (not whistleblowing) when I signed the Deed to my house over to someone who had no financial interest in it. I had a trial over it all and subpoaoned the closing broker (who has since left the Bank) Wells Fargo were not involved. They then spoke to my witness and would not let my attorney speak to her. They paid a law firm to represent her (and help them) At my trial they strangely did not put themselves on the record but sat taking notes throughout. The lady perjured herself. I put in an official complaint against Wells Fargo inserting themselves into my litigation. They denied being at my trial and any involvement. My attorney, who was working against me, said he did not remember their names and never exchanged emails with them. Wells Fargo gaslit me and said they checked with their legal department and could find no involvement in my case. By the grace of God my attorney accidentally emailed me where he had been emailing them details of my trial, speaking to them, acknowledged Wells Fargo were representing her. It is honestly sick. I lost my home, have a disability and am a domestic violence victim and this Bank hid the truth and helped to further abuse me. Totally illegal.
5 stars just for Madelyn Amador
the stars are just for madelyn amador
i am giving 1 star to WF
i want to express my infinite gratitude to MADELYN AMADOR , personal Banker at Wells Fargo Branch , located at 14600 Coral Way for having had excellent customer service and having solved in the most effective and fastest way a big problem that we had and despite having called the Wells Fargo Customer Service several times and having visited another Wells Fargo branch in Naples where I currently live ,none of these employees are trained to explained to us the situation we were going through. Madelyn went ABOVE AND BEYOND , demonstrating an absolute knowledge about the problem we were dealing with and empathy with her client , giving ourselves an explanation that left us satisfied , spending the necessary time with us and solving the problem. I recommend Wells Fargo to have more employees like MADELYN AMADOR who makes the difference . My husband and I are extremely grateful to her for the way she works with us and solve our problem.
Bad like a monty python sketch
Bad like a monty python sketch. i created my wells fargo account mainly for the chance at $300 bonus. I no longer believe I will ever see this. First I transfered money into my account. This took about a week which is a pretty long time but then even though it was already in my account I was told it was only pending and it would take another week. I then tried to use zelle and was told I could only send $500. When I tried to send $500 I was told I couldn't and no one at Wells Fargo could tell me why. They just kept saying it "should" work. Yes. It should. That took about three days to stop happening. A month went by and still no debit card. I received my first direct deposit which normally would post at noon exactly. With Wells fargo it posted at 5pm. I do not have a debit card so I can't use my money so I tried to transfer money to another account only for Wells Fargo to tell me I can not do that until they send to test transfers first. I am still waiting for that to happen. So at the moment I have no idea how to get my money out of my bank account to pay bills. I reached out to Wells Fargo on social media which lead to a frankly hilarious back and forth with their instagram team where they continued to ask me to DM them after I already had leading me to realize Wells Fargo's instagram account is run about as well as it's bank accounts. Literally not one thing has worked in the entire month I have had a wells fargo account. It's almost impressive.
